A lot has been learned over the last years. We managed to reduce perioperative morbidity and mortality, and have achieved a consensus regarding different aspects of the treatment. This symposium will focused on many practical details, as well as several aspects of preclinical and clinical research, e.g. quality of life, imaging or molecular diagnosis. More than in the years before, GYN malignomas will be the main topic of this meeting. Looking forward to meet you in Regensburg, we remain with best regards H. J. Schlitt P.
