21. ročník Mezinárodního hudebního festivalu Český Krumlov
MHF Český Krumlov je nejdelší letní hudební přehlídkou v ČR, která nabízí
široké spektrum hudby v podání významných umělců. Loni festival završil
své dvacetiletí koncerty tenoristů Ramóna Vargase, Josého Cury, a zejména
legendárního Plácida Dominga. I letošní ročník nabízí lákavý program –
zahajovací koncert s hvězdou MET, barytonistou Dmitrijem Hvorostovským,
vystoupení klavíristy Konstantina Scherbakova, hity skupiny Queen
v monumentální symfonické podobě, jazzový koncert deseti trumpetistů
„Ten of the Best“, virtuózní show polského kvarteta MozART Group či
cyklus komorních koncertů v Maškarním sále a v Zahradě Kooperativy.
Připraven je balkánský hudebně-gastronomický večer s Boban i Marko
Marković Orkestar. Životní jubileum oslaví Václav Hudeček, jemuž přijede
zahrát i Valery Oistrakh. Závěrečný koncert bude patřit čtyřem kanadským
tenoristům. Milovníky opery navíc čeká zážitek: na Otáčivé hlediště se vrátí
José Cura v Leoncavallových Komediantech.

The 21st year of the International Music Festival Český Krumlov
IMF Český Krumlov is the longest summer festival in the Czech Republic that
offers a wide spectrum of music interpreted by renowned artists. Last year
the festival celebrated 20 years of its existence by concerts of tenors Ramón
Vargas and José Cura and especially legendary Plácido Domingo. This year
it offers attractive program, too – the opening concert with a star of MET,
baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky; a performance of pianist Konstantin
Scherbakov; hits by Queen in a monumental symphonic form; a jazz concert
of ten trumpeters “Ten of the Best”; a virtuoso show of Polish quartet
MozART Group and a series of chamber concerts in the Masquerade
Hall as well as in Kooperativa Garden. There will be Balkan music and
gastronomic night with Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar. Václav Hudeček
is to celebrate his life anniversary with Valery Oistrakh as a special guest.
The final concert will introduce four Canadian tenors. Opera lovers will get
an extra experience: José Cura will return to the Revolving Theatre in
Leoncavallo’s Paggliaci.

21. Internationales Musikfestival Český Krumlov
Das IMF Český Krumlov ist das älteste Sommer-Musikfestival Tschechiens,
welches eine breite Musikpalette, dargeboten von herausragenden Künstlern,
präsentiert. Im vergangenen Jahr feierte das Festival sein 20-jähriges
Bestehen mit Auftritten der Tenöre Ramón Vargas, José Cura und vor allem
des legendären Plácido Domingo. Auch die diesjährige Festivalausgabe
bietet ein verlockendes Programm – das Eröffnungskonzert mit dem Star
der „Met“, dem Bariton Dmitri Hvorostovsky, dem Auftritt des Pianisten
Konstantin Scherbakov, Hits der Gruppe Queen auf monumentale
symphonische Weise, ein Jazzkonzert der zehn Trompeter „Ten of the
Best“, die virtuose Show des polnischen Quartetts MozART Group sowie
einen Zyklus von Kammerkonzerten im Maskensaal und im Garten der
Kooperative. Bereits angerührt ist der musikalisch-gastronomische Abend
im Zeichen des Balkans mit dem Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar.
Seinen runden Geburtstag feiert Václav Hudeček, zu welchem Anlass auch
Valery Oistrakh aufspielt. Das Abschlusskonzert wird vier kanadischen
Tenören gehören. Opernliebhaber erwartet zudem noch ein besonderer
Leckerbissen: José Cura kehrt in Leoncavallos Bajazzo auf die Drehbare
Zuschauertribüne zurück.

Hommage an Václav Hudeček
Stálice naší klasické hudební scény, houslový virtuóz Václav
Hudeček, oslaví v letošním roce významné životní jubileum.
Vedle mladých českých hudebníků mu do Českého Krumlova
přijede gratulovat i houslista Valery Oistrakh, vnuk legendárního
Davida Oistrakha, jehož je Hudeček žákem. Již ve svých patnácti
letech dne 12. listopadu 1967 vystoupil Václav Hudeček na koncertu
v Londýně s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. O den později ho slyšel
legendární David Oistrakh, předpověděl mu velkou budoucnost
a nabídl mu pedagogickou pomoc. Od roku 1970 až do Oistrakhovy
smrti v roce 1974 byl žákem tohoto velkého Mistra. Od svého
londýnského debutu vystupoval po celém světě na nejprestižnějších
pódiích a na světových festivalech. Václav Hudeček se systematicky
stará i o pomoc nastupující české interpretační generaci a pravidelně
na svých koncertech představuje talentované mladé hráče. Kromě
Valeryho Oistrakha proto na tomto koncertě společně s ikonou české
houslové školy vystoupí i ti nejlepší z Hudečkových žáků a další
mladí interpreti, které si Václav Hudeček pro tuto výjimečnou
příležitost pozval.
A long lasting star of the classical music scene, violin virtuoso
Václav Hudeček, is celebrating an important life anniversary
this year. Besides young Czech musicians, a violinist Valery
Oistrakh, the grandson of legendary Hudeček´s teacher
David Oistrakh, will come to wish him happy birthday in
Český Krumlov. When Václav was only fifteen years old, back
on November 12, 1967, he was invited to play with The Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra at a concert in London. Only a day later, the
legendary David Oistrakh listened to him predicting a great future to
the young virtuoso and offering him his pedagogical help. Therefore
Václav became Oistrakh’s student from 1970 until his master´s death
in 1974. Since his London debut, Václav has performed all around
the world, at the most prestigious stages and festivals. He has been
helping a new Czech generation of interpreters, regularly introducing
young talented players at his concerts. Besides Valery Oistrakh,
other musicians will therefore play with Václav Hudeček – be it his
pupils and/or his young colleagues whom the Icon of the Czech
violin school has invited to take part in this event.
Der Stern unserer Klassik-Musikszene, der Violinvirtuose
Václav Hudeček, feiert in diesem Jahr einen besonderen
Geburtstag. Neben jungen tschechischen Musikern kommt
nach Český Krumlov auch der Violinist Valery Oistrakh, Enkel
des legendären David Oistrakh, dessen Schüler Hudeček
war, um ihm zu gratulieren. Bereits im Alter von 15 Jahren trat
er am 12. November 1967 bei einem Konzert in London mit dem
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra auf. Einen Tag später hörte ihn
der legendäre David Oistrakh, sagte ihm eine großartige Zukunft
voraus und bot ihm pädagogische Unterstützung an. Von 1970 bis
zum Tode Oistrakhs im Jahre 1974 war er Schüler dieses großen
Meisters. Seit seinem Londoner Debüt trat er weltweit in den
renommiertesten Konzertsälen und auf Festivals von Weltrang
auf. Hudeček kümmert sich auch systematisch um kommende
tschechische Künstlergenerationen und stellt auf seinen Konzerten
talentierte junge Musiker vor. Deshalb treten neben Valery Oistrakh
zu diesem Konzert neben der Ikone der tschechischen Violinschule
auch Hudečeks beste Schüler und weitere junge Interpreten auf, die
Václav Hudeček aus diesem besonderen Anlass eingeladen hat.

Kytaristka Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová je oceňovanou sólistkou
i komorní hráčkou a vítězkou prestižních mezinárodních soutěží.
Iniciovala vznik mezinárodního hudebního festivalu Bratislavská
komorní kytara a zastává i funkci jeho umělecké ředitelky.
Pedagogicky působí na Universität für Musik und darstellende
Kunst ve Vídni. Kaprálová Quartet patří podle odborné kritiky mezi
nejlepší domácí smyčcová tělesa. Koncertuje na předních evropských
i světových pódiích a na svém kontě má řadu nahrávek. Navštivte

A combination of a string quartet and a guitar played by women
only. Guitarist Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová is a recognized soloist
and a chamber musician as well as winner of a number of prestigious
international contests. She initiated the birth of an international
music event called The Bratislava´s Chamber Guitar of which she
has become the art director. Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová has taught
at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Vienna. As far as
the Kaprálová Quartet is concerned, Czech critics have been
appreciated them as one of the best string ensembles in the country.
The four women have been invited to play on the most important
European and world’s stages and have recorded a number of albums.

Die Kombination von Streichquartett und Gitarren in rein
weiblicher Besetzung. Die Gitarristin Miriam Rodriguez
Brüllová ist preisgekrönte Solistin, Kammermusikerin und Siegerin
prestigeträchtiger internationaler Wettbewerbe. Sie initiierte die
Entstehung des internationalen Musikfestivals „Bratislavská komorní
kytara“ (Pressburger Kammergitarre) und ist gleichzeitig die
künstlerische Leiterin dieses Festivals. Sie lehrt an der Universität
für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien. Das Kaprálová-Quartett
gehört, wenn man den Kritikern Glauben schenkt, zu den besten
einheimischen Klangkörpern für Streichinstrumente. Es gibt
Konzerte auf den bekanntesten europäischen und internationalen
Bühnen und kann bereits eine ganze Reihe an Einspielungen
verzeichnen. Besuchen Sie das erste Konzert unserer diesjährigen

Konstantin Scherbakov je jedním z nejvyhledávanějších klavíristů
dnešní doby. Pochází ze sibiřského Barnaulu a již v pěti letech
vystupoval coby „zázračné dítě“. V jedenácti letech debutoval
jako sólista s filharmonií v Beethovenově Prvním klavírním
koncertu, o devět let později zvítězil v Rachmaninově soutěži
a následovala řada dalších soutěžních úspěchů po celé Evropě.
Mezinárodním debutem, který otevřel Scherbakovovu světovou
kariéru, se stalo vystoupení na italském festivalu v Asolu. Od roku
1992, kdy přesídlil do Švýcarska, stoupá jeho hvězda stále výš.
Udivuje šíří svého repertoáru a velmi ceněná je jeho bohatá
diskografie pro EMI, Naxos a další světové labely. Buďte svědky
výjimečné události – koncertu virtuóza, jehož kritika označila
za novodobého Rachmaninova, v dialogu s houslemi korejské
sólistky Sanghee Cheong!
A dazzling palette of colors and technical finesses… One of the
most able, daring and interesting musicians of the present…
Ingenious performance… Virtuosity even in compositions that
are considered unplayable… Konstantin Scherbakov is one of
the most sought pianists of today. He comes from Barnaul, Siberia,
and started performing as a “miraculous child” when he was only
five years old. When reaching eleven, Konstantin premiered as
a soloist with a philharmonic orchestra performing Beethoven’s First
Piano Concert; nine years later he won the Rachmaninov’s contest.
A number of another contest successes all around Europe followed.
His international debut, which opened Scherbakov’s world career,
was a performance at an Italian festival in Asolo. Since 1992, when
he moved to Switzerland, his star has been rising higher and higher.
He surprises by the scope of his repertoire; his rich discography for
EMI, Naxos and other world’s labels is highly appreciated. Witness
this exceptional event – a concert of the virtuoso nicknamed by
critics as Rachmaninov of the Modern Era and enjoying, this time,

Einer der fähigsten, mutigsten und interessantesten Musiker
der Gegenwart… Brillantes Spiel… Bravour auch in Werken,
welche als nicht spielbar gelten… Konstantin Scherbakov ist
einer der gefragtesten Pianisten unserer Zeit. Er stammt aus dem
sibirischen Barnaul und trat bereits im Alter von fünf Jahren als
„Wunderkind“ auf. Mit elf Jahren debütierte er als Solist eines
philharmonischen Orchesters mit Beethovens Erstem Klavierkonzert,
neun Jahre später gewann er den Rachmaninoff-Wettbewerb, und

festivalů. The Queen Symphony byla poprvé provedena Královským
filharmonickým orchestrem 11. listopadu 2002 v Londýně za účasti
bývalých členů Queen, kytaristy Briana Maye a bubeníka Rogera
Taylora, a matky Freddie Mercuryho Jer Bulsary. Skladatel a dirigent
v jedné osobě, Tolga Kashif, sklidil nadšené standing ovations
dvoutisícového publika. Brian May označil Tolgu Kashifa za nejlepšího
pokračovatele romantické tradice, který ovšem boří pravidla
symfonické formy a pozdvihuje odkaz skupiny Queen do zcela jiných
dimenzí. Nahrávka této symfonie získala nominaci na cenu Classical

Thirteen melodies of the legendary rock band Queen converted
into a symphonic composition… Songs such as “Bohemian
Rhapsody”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “The Show Must Go On”, “We Will
Rock You”, “We Are The Champions”, and “Who Wants To Live
Forever”. This great six-part orchestral piece has been attracting
attention of organizers and audiences all around the world, being
introduced in important concert halls, opera houses and at
prestigious festivals. The Queen Symphony was premiered by the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on November 11, 2002 in London,
the event being attended by former members of Queen: guitarist
Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor as well as Freddie Mercury’s
mother, Mrs. Jer Bulsara. The composer and conductor, Tolga
Kashif, earned standing ovations of a crowd of two thousand
spectators. Brian May called Tolga Kashif the best successor of
the romantic tradition who at the same time dares breaking rules
of the symphonic form and raises the legacy of Queen to new
dimensions. The record of this symphony has been nominated for
Classical Brit Awards in the Album of the Year category. Come

und findet sich ständig auf den Programmen der bedeutendsten
Konzertsäle, Opernhäuser und renommierten Festivals. The Queen
Symphony wurde erstmals am 11. November 2002 vom Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra in London, begleitet von ehemaligen
Mitgliedern der Gruppe Queen, dem Gitarristen Brian May und dem
Schlagzeuger Roger Taylor, und in Anwesenheit der Mutter Freddie
Mercurys, aufgeführt. Der Komponist und Dirigent in einer Person,
Tolga Kashif, erhielt danach von den zweitausend Menschen im
Publikum begeisterte Standing Ovations. Brian May bezeichnete
Tolga Kashif als besten Fortsetzer einer romantischen Tradition,
welcher wie selbstverständlich die Regeln symphonischer Formen
bricht und das Vermächtnis der Rockgruppe Queen in eine völlig

Reifová has prepared a song program called „Majda ze školky“

art and music workshops, an inflatable castle and much more fun. Duo
Vanda and Standa will guide you through the afternoon and will perform

na klasicko-jazzovém CD Znamení Střelce, které bylo v roce 2007

sólista a koncertní mistr. Patnáct let byl primáriem Stamicova kvarteta,
které dovedl k řadě významných úspěchů a ocenění. Nyní působí
především jako sólista. Jeho nahrávka kompletního díla B. Martinů
pro koncertantní housle (violu) a orchestr vzbudila mezinárodní ohlas.
Bohuslavu Matouškovi bude v Bachově Dvojkoncertu d moll partnerem
úspěšný a talentovaný mladý houslista Jakub Junek. Zaposlouchejte se

Po loňském programu, který se nesl v duchu slovenské kultury,
se přesuneme o kus jižněji. Připraven je balkánský večer
s gurmánskými požitky a s pravou balkánskou dechovkou!
Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar z jižního Srbska je nejvýznamnějším
hudebním seskupením regionu. Orchestr má za sebou téměř
třicetiletou historii, odehrál stovky strhujících koncertů po celém
světě, získal celou řadu prestižních ocenění, natočil třináct alb
i hudbu k několika filmům. Hlavním sólistou, aranžérem a také
lídrem třináctičlenné kapely se postupem času stal syn Bobana
Markoviće, geniální trumpetista Marko Marković, který jde beze
zbytku v otcových stopách. Alternativou k tradiční balkánské hudbě
bude „Balkan-worldmusic“ česko-polské skupiny Džezvica. Šestice
mladých muzikantů přetváří lidové melodie z oblasti Balkánu pomocí
originálních harmonií a kombinuje je s prvky jazzu a cikánské melodiky.
Připraveny jsou samozřejmě i tradiční kulinářské speciality regionu.

The tradition of national music and gastronomic nights continues.
After last year’s program focused on Slovak culture, we will travel
a little more southwards. This year a Balkan night is ready for you
including a regional gourmet experience and a real Balkan brass
band! Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar from southern Serbia is the most
important music group of the region. The orchestra boasts of nearly 30
year’s history; it has played hundreds of breathtaking concerts all around
the world, recorded thirteen albums as well as music for several movies.
The main soloist, arranger and leader of the thirteen-member group is
Marko Marković, a great trumpet player and Boban Marković’s son, who
completely follows his father’s trail. “Balkan-world music” of Czech-andPolish band Džezvica will create a special contribution to the event. Six
young musicians transform folk melodies from the Balkan region into
original harmonies and combine them with bits of jazz and gipsy melodies.
And of course, traditional culinary specialties of the region will be also
ready, fresh and fine. Do not miss the Balkan feast of food and music!

Das Boban i Marko Marković Orkestar aus Südserbien ist eine der
bedeutendsten Musikformationen der Region. Das Orchester blickt auf
eine fast dreißigjährige Geschichte zurück, gab hunderte mitreißender
Konzerte auf der ganzen Welt, erhielt eine ganze Reihe prestigeträchtiger
Auszeichnungen, nahm dreizehn Alben auf und drehte mehrere Filme. Zum
Hauptsolisten, Arrangeur und Bandleader der dreizehnköpfigen Kapelle
wurde im Laufe der Zeit der Sohn Boban Markovićs, der geniale Trompeter
Marko Marković, der nahtlos in die Fußstapfen seines Vaters tritt. Die
Alternative zur traditionellen Balkanmusik stellt die „Balkan-Worldmusic“
der tschechisch-polnischen Gruppe Džezvica dar. Sechs junge Musiker
verfremden Volksmelodien vom Balkan durch originale Harmonien und
verbinden sie mit Jazzelementen und Zigeunermelodien. Natürlich haben
wir auch traditionelle kulinarische Spezialitäten der Region vorbereitet.

Panocha-Quartett
Panochovo kvarteto je jedním z mezinárodně uznávaných
kvartetních souborů, které vycházejí ze skvělé české kvartetní
tradice, založené Českým kvartetem přes Smetanovo, Vlachovo
a Janáčkovo kvarteto až po Kvarteto města Prahy. Založili ho roku
1968 studenti Pražské konzervatoře a – jako jedni z mála – hrají
již více než 40 let ve stejném složení. Soubor klade zvláštní důraz
na českou hudbu, především na díla Dvořákova, Smetanova,
Martinů a Janáčkova. Rozsáhlý repertoár Panochova kvarteta
však obsahuje i mnoho děl vídeňských klasiků, zvláště Josepha
Haydna, a velká romantická díla. Soubor nahrál celé komorní dílo
A. Dvořáka a Z. Fibicha, v roce 1995 získal cenu MIDEM – Cannes
Classical Award za nahrávku kvartetu Es-dur a Cypřiše Antonína
Dvořáka. Nezapomeňte na koncert kvarteta, které kritici označují
za „nezpochybnitelnou jistotu naší kultury“!
Panocha’s quartet is one of internationally recognized quartet
ensembles developping the great Czech quartet tradition raising
from the Czech quartet up to the Smetana’s, Vlach’s, Janáček’s
and Prague quartets. It was established in 1968 by students of
the Prague conservatory who have been playing – which is quite
exceptional – in the same line-up for forty years already. The
ensemble concentrates on Czech music, namely the one by Dvořák,
Smetana, Martinů and Janáček. However, the vast scope of their
repertoire contains many compositions by Viennese classical
authors, particularly Joseph Haydn, as well as great romantic
compositions. The Panocha´s quartet has recorded the entire
chamber repertoire written by A. Dvořák and Z. Fibich and received
a MIDEM – Cannes Classical Award for its record of quartet E-flat
major and Cypress by Antonín Dvořák back in 1999. Do not forget to

Das Panocha-Quartett ist ein international anerkannter
Klangkörper, der sich der tschechischen Quartetttradition
verpflichtet sieht. Es entstand aus dem Tschechischen Quartett
und entwickelte sich über das Smetana-, Janáček-, Vlach-Quartett
und das Quartett der Stadt Prag zu dem, was es heute ist. Es wurde
im Jahre 1968 von Schülern des Prager Konservatoriums gegründet
und spielt als eines von wenigen bereits seit mehr als 40 Jahren
in der gleichen Besetzung. Das Ensemble legt besonderen
Wert auf tschechische Musik, vor allem auf Werke von Dvořák,
Smetana, Martinů und Janáček. Zum umfangreichen Repertoire
des Panocha-Quartetts gehören auch viele Werke der Wiener
Klassik, insbesondere von Joseph Haydn, sowie große romantische
Werke. Das Ensemble spielte die vollständigen Kammermusikwerke
von A. Dvořák und Z. Fibich ein, und im Jahre 1995 wurde ihm
der Cannes Classical Award MIDEM für die Einspielungen des
Quartetts in Es-Dur und von Antonín Dvořáks „Zypressen“ verliehen.

Musica Florea
Hra na originální historické nástroje nebo jejich kopie, studium
dobových pramenů a estetiky a kreativní oživování zapomenutých
interpretačních stylů i prostředků – to vše je pro autentickou
interpretaci starých děl nezbytností i předpokladem. Právě tyto
atributy jsou zárukou renomé ansámblu Musica Florea. Roku 1992 jej
založil violoncellista a dirigent Marek Štryncl jako jeden z prvních
výrazných počinů na poli stylově poučené interpretace hudby v České
republice. Díky iniciativě tohoto souboru bylo objeveno a v novodobých
premiérách uvedeno i množství zapomenutých klenotů staré hudby.
Musica Florea obdržela řadu prestižních ocenění, např. Cannes
Classical Award – MIDEM 2003 za nahrávku korunovační opery Sub
olea pacis et palma virtutis J. D. Zelenky. Přijďte si vyslechnout výběr

Playing original historical instruments or their copies, studying
original sources and esthetics as well as creative reviving of
forgotten interpretation styles and methods – all these are
prerequisites of authentic interpretation of old compositions.
And these are the attributes that guarantee the reputation of Musica
Florea. The ensemble was founded by violoncellist and conductor
Marek Štryncl in 1992 as one of the first important contributions to
stylistically-informed music interpretation in the Czech Republic. The
ensemble´s efforts have helped to discover a number of forgotten
gems of old music which they then re-introduced publicly. Musica
Florea has received a number of prestigious awards including
Cannes Classical Award – MIDEM 2003 for a record of J. D. Zelenka’s
crowning opera Sub Olea pacis et palma virtutis. Come and listen to

Das Spielen auf alten Originalinstrumenten oder deren Nachbauten,
das Studium zeitgenössischer Quellen und Ästhetik sowie die
kreative Wiederbelebung von Interpretationsstilen und -mitteln
– das alles ist für die authentische Interpretation alter Werke
unerlässlich und Voraussetzung. Und genau diese Attribute sind
der Garant für das Renommee des Ensembles Musica Florea. Im
Jahre 1992 gründete es der Violoncellist und Dirigent Marek Štryncl
als einen der ersten bedeutenden Versuche auf dem Gebiet stilistisch
aufgeklärter Musikinterpretation in Tschechien. Dank der Initiative
dieses Ensembles wurden viele vergessene Perlen alter Musik
wiederentdeckt und bei neuzeitlichen Premieren aufgeführt. Musica
Florea erhielt eine ganze Reihe prestigeträchtiger Auszeichnungen, so
z. B. den Cannes Classical Award – MIDEM 2003 für die Einspielung
der Krönungsoper Sub olea pacis et palma virtutis von J. D. Zelenka.

Roman Patočka & Praga Camerata
Laureát mnoha prestižních mezinárodních soutěží Roman Patočka
patří mezi výjimečné osobnosti nastupující generace houslistů.
Jako sólista vystupuje s renomovanými orchestry v České republice
i v zahraničí, působil jako koncertní mistr Německého symfonického
orchestru Berlín. Pod taktovkou Sira Charlese Mackerrase provedl
Janáčkovo Putování dušičky se Státní filharmonií Brno a spolupracoval
s Komorním orchestrem Berg na světové premiéře České rapsodie
pro housle a orchestr Bohuslava Martinů. Soubor Praga Camerata je
dalším z českých komorních ansámblů, které dokazují, že naše
země je v oblasti komorní hudby skutečnou velmocí. „Dokonalost
souhry, přesné nasazení tónu, propracovaná dynamika, jasné vedení
hlasů jednotlivých skupin a v neposlední řadě i potěšení ze hry“ –
těmito slovy oceňují kritici soubor pod uměleckým vedením Pavla

Winner of many prestigious international contests, Roman
Patočka is one of exceptional personalities among a young
generation of violinists. As a soloist, he has been performing with
renowned orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad; in Berlin, he
also served as a concert master of the German Symphonic Orchestra.
Under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras, Roman played Janáček’s
The Wandering of a Little Soul with the State Philharmonics Brno and,
together with the Chamber orchestra Berg, participated on the world’s
premiere of The Czech Rhapsody for violin and orchestra by Bohuslav
Martinů. Praga Camerata is one of Czech chamber ensembles
that prove that this country is a real super power in chamber
music. “Perfection of harmony, exact tones, excellent dynamics, clear
voices of individual groups and, last but not least, joy of playing” –
these are words used by critics to appreciate the ensemble led by
Pavel Hůla. Enjoy the final concert of this year’s chamber series in the
Masquerade Hall of the Český Krumlov Castle.
Der Laureat vieler renommierter internationaler Wettbewerbe,
Roman Patočka, gehört zu den außergewöhnlichen
Persönlichkeiten einer neuen Generation von Violinisten. Als
Solist tritt er mit renommierten Orchestern in der Tschechischen
Republik und im Ausland auf. Er wirkte auch als Konzertmeister
des Deutschen Symphonieorchesters Berlin. Unter der Leitung von
Sir Charles Mackerras spielte er zusammen mit der Staatlichen
Philharmonie Brünn Janáčeks „Putování dušičky“ (Wanderungen
der Seele) und arbeitete mit dem Kammerorchester Berg bei
der Weltpremiere von „Tschechische Rhapsodie für Violine und
Orchester“ von Bohuslav Martinů zusammen. Das Ensemble Praga
Camerata ist eines jener tschechischen Kammerensembles,
welche unter Beweis stellen, dass unser Land auf dem Gebiet
der Kammermusik Weltrang genießt. „Die Perfektion des
Zusammenspiels, das genaue Treffen der Töne, die ausgefeilte
Dynamik, die klare Stimmführung der einzelnen Gruppen und nicht
zuletzt die Freude am Spiel“ – mit diesen Worten loben Kritiker das
Ensemble unter der künstlerischen Leitung Pavel Hůlas. Genießen

„Nebereme ohled na formálnost velkých koncertních sálů, na
nudný život klasických hudebníků, na fanatické milovníky vážné
hudby, na fanoušky rocku, rapu či popu, kteří se bojí klasické
hudby. Ke své Múze přistupujeme s humorem a ironií a jsme si jisti,
že Ona proti tomu nic nemá!“ To o sobě tvrdí kabaretní seskupení
čtyř profesionálních hudebníků z Polska. Smyčcové kvarteto s názvem
MozART Group mění klasickou hudbu v zábavnou show, aniž by přitom
rezignovalo na technickou virtuozitu a kvalitu provedení. Hráči ovládají
široký repertoár od klasiky až po rockové hity, do svých výstupů
vkládají taneční i pěvecké kreace a nesporný je i jejich herecko-komický
talent. Mezi parádní kousky patří třeba pinkání pingpongovou pálkou
během hry. Své diváky neúnavně překvapují a rozesmívají až k slzám.
Mozartovo jméno přitom nemají ve svém názvu náhodou – i jejich patron
byl prý veselá kopa, a navíc žil v době, kdy šly ještě vážná a populární
hudba ruku v ruce. Metodou jejich tvorby je odhalování asociací, které
skladba skýtá, přičemž nejbláznivější nápady jsou vítány a kreativitě se
meze nekladou. Nechte se i Vy vtáhnout do hry!
“We do not pay respect to seriousness of large concert halls, to
boring life of classical musicians; neither we kneel before fanatic
lovers of classical music or fans of rock, rap and pop who are
scared of classical music. We approach the Muse with humor and
irony and we are sure She has nothing against it!” That’s what the
cabaret group of four professional musicians from Poland say about
themselves. The string quartet called MozART Group turns classical
music into an entertaining show without giving up technical virtuosity
and quality of interpretation. The players master a rich repertoire ranging
from classical to rock hits; they insert dancing and singing creations into
their performances. Also, there is no question about their acting and their
comedian talent. The MozART Group´s great pieces include, for example,
ping-pong played during the performance. They keep surprising their
spectators all the time and make them laugh aloud. It is no coincidence
that they use Mozart’s name – their patron is said to have also been a real
jester; on the top of that, he lived at a time when classical and popular
music were one. Their creative work uses a method of finding associations
hidden in compositions; even the craziest ideas are welcomed, their
creativity having no limits. Let them drag you into their playfulness!

hat!“ Das behauptet die Kabarettgruppe aus vier professionellen Musikern
aus Polen von sich selbst. Das Streichquartett namens MozART Group
verzaubert klassische Musik zu einer unterhaltsamen Show, ohne dabei
auf technische Virtuosität und vollendetes Spiel zu verzichten. Die Spieler
beherrschen ein breites Repertoire von Klassik bis hin zu Rockhits
und fügen in ihre Auftritte auch tänzerische und sängerische Einlagen
ein. Unbestreitbar jedoch ist dabei ihr schauspielerisch-komisches
Talent. Zu den Sahnestücken gehört zum Beispiel das Spiel auf einem
Tischtennisschläger während des Vortrags. Unermüdlich überraschen
sie ihr Publikum und bringen es zum Lachen bis die Tränen fließen. Den
Namen Mozarts tragen sie jedoch nicht ohne Grund – auch ihr Patron war
angeblich ein „Bruder Lustig“ und lebte zudem zu einer Zeit, als klassische
und populäre Musik quasi noch ein und dasselbe waren. Die Methode
ihres Wirkens besteht im Hervorrufen von Assoziationen, welche ein Werk
bietet, wobei die verrücktesten Ideen willkommen sind und die Kreativität

tragický příběh ze života kočujících herců, plný emocí a vášní.
V magických přírodních kulisách zámecké zahrady se znovu
odehraje drama lásky a nenávisti, jehož námětem se stala skutečná
událost z italské Kalábrie z roku 1865. Osudy herců a postav, které
ztvárňují, se prolínají, hranice mezi jevištěm a realitou se stírá
a opera graduje bolestným výstupem hlavního hrdiny s proslulou
árií „Směj se, paňáco!“. Jeden z nejlepších současných tenoristů
José Cura před rokem okouzlil českokrumlovské publikum
v roli city zmítaného principála Cania. Nenechte si ujít reprízu
opery, v níž končí hra a začíná skutečnost a kterou José Cura
charakterizoval slovy „Teprve pod maskou je komediantova pravá
tvář“!
José Cura returns to Český Krumlov in the main role in one
of the most famous verismo operas! Theater in a theater,
tragic story from lives of wandering actors, full of emotions
and passion. One more time, drama of love and hatred inspired
by a real story that happened in Calabria in 1885 is to be seen on
a stage of the Castle Gardens, in the middle of nature. Fates of
actors and characters mingle; distinction in between the stage and
reality disappears and the opera ends with a painful performance
of the main hero and his famous aria “Smile, Pagliaccio!” One of the
best contemporary tenors, Maestro José Cura, charmed audiences
in Český Krumlov a year ago by his interpretation of Canio, the
emotional head of the troupe. Do not miss the return of the opera in
which the game is over and reality begins; the opera characterized
by José Cura´s fitting remark that “The real face of a comedian is
hidden by the mask”!
José Cura kehrt in der Hauptrolle einer der berühmtesten
veristischen Opern erneut nach Český Krumlov zurück! Es ist
ein Theaterstück über das Theater, eine tragische Erzählung
aus dem Leben reisender Schauspieler voller Emotionen und
Leidenschaft. In der magischen Naturkulisse des Schlossgartens
wird erneut das Drama über Liebe und Hass gespielt, dessen
Thema eine tatsächliche Begebenheit aus dem italienischen
Kalabrien des Jahres 1865 ist. Die Schicksale der Schauspieler
und der Figuren, welche sie spielen, verknüpfen sich miteinander,
die Grenze zwischen Bühne und Realität verschwimmt und die
Oper gipfelt im Auftritt der Hauptfigur mit der berühmten Arie
„Ridi, Pagliaccio / Lache, Bajazzo!“. Einer der gegenwärtig besten
Tenöre, José Cura, verzauberte vor einem Jahr in der Rolle des von
Gefühlen hin- und hergerissenen Prinzipals Canio das Publikum in
Český Krumlov. Lassen Sie sich die Wiederaufführung der Oper

Veranstaltungsbedingungen
vstupenky
• Vstupenky jsou prodávány v pořadí uskutečněných objednávek do naplnění kapacity hledišť.
• Neprodané vstupenky budou k dostání v místě konání koncertu, hodinu před jeho začátkem.
• Zakoupené vstupenky nelze vracet nebo vyměňovat. Za ztracené vstupenky se neposkytuje náhrada.
• Na vrácení vstupného má zákazník nárok jedině v případě, že pořadatel akci zruší. Nárok na vrácení
vstupného je třeba uplatnit v místě nákupu vstupenky do jednoho měsíce od data akce. Poštovné
a balné se nevrací.
• Pokud je koncert zahájen a bude přerušen z důvodů nepřízně počasí či důvodů vis major,
z trácí majitel vstupenky nárok na vrácení vstupného.
• V případě nepřízně počasí si pořadatel vyhrazuje právo posunout začátek představení až o 120 minut.
• Vstupenka platí jen pro uvedený den, hodinu a místo a je platná pouze s kontrolním ústřižkem.
• Vstupenka opravňuje k jednomu vstupu na akci, po opuštění místa konání pozbývá platnosti.
• Prosím, zkontrolujte si údaje na Vaší vstupence, na pozdější reklamace nebude brán ohled.
• Padělání vstupenek je trestné.
SLEVY
• Držitelé průkazů ZTP (1 osoba) a ZTP/P (1 osoba + doprovod) - sleva 30 % po předložení příslušného
dokladu.
• Držitelé mezinárodního studentského průkazu ISIC a ITIC - sleva 10 % po předložení příslušného
dokladu.
• Dětské vstupné – děti do 6 let vstup zdarma (bez nároku na místo), děti od 6 do 15ti let mají slevu 50 %
na veškerá představení.
• Jednotlivé slevy nelze sčítat.
PŘÍSTUP NA AKCE FESTIVALU
• Návštěvník představení či koncertu musí respektovat pokyny pořadatelů.
• Do prostor, v nichž se koncerty festivalu konají, není dovoleno vnášet magnetofony, filmové kamery,
fotoaparáty ani videokamery. Je přísně zakázáno pořizování záznamů zvukových, filmových,
fotografických či videozáznamů a to i pro soukromou potřebu.
• Do hlediště je zakázáno vodit nebo vnášet domácí zvířata.
• Na koncert festivalu nebude vpuštěn návštěvník, který je nevhodně oblečen a ten, který je zjevně pod
vlivem alkoholických nebo psychotropních látek.
• V průběhu představení je zakázáno používání mobilních telefonů a kouření.
• Návštěvník festivalu je povinen zaujmout své místo v hledišti 10 minut před začátkem koncertu či
představení, není-li na vstupence uvedeno jinak. Po zahájení koncertu nebude přístup do hlediště
povolen až do oficiální přestávky.
• Pokud bude návštěvníkem festivalu dítě, které bude narušovat průběh přestavení, musí okamžitě
opustit hlediště.
• Představení a koncerty konané ve venkovním přírodním prostředí mohou být ovlivněné počasím.
Doporučujeme proto návštěvníkům vzít tyto vlivy v úvahu při volbě oblečení.
• Na koncerty, které se konají v interiérech zámku je zakázán vstup v obuvi s jehlovými podpatky.
• Návštěvníkům koncertů je zakázáno přemísťovat židle v hledišti, odnášet deky a pláštěnky. Návštěvník
je povinen akceptovat rezervace učiněné pořadatelem.
• Zakoupením vstupenky návštěvník potvrzuje souhlas s výše uvedenými pořadatelskými podmínkami.
VŠEOBECNÁ USTANOVENÍ
• Návštěvník uděluje výslovný souhlas s tím, že fotografie, filmy či videozáznamy s jeho osobou, které

současné nebo budoucí technické metody zhodnoceny, a to bez peněžité náhrady a časového nebo
prostorového omezení.
• Pořadatel festivalu si vyhrazuje právo změnit obsazení koncertu či představení nebo místo jejich
konání.
• Změny v programu a účinkujících jsou vyhrazeny.

TICKETS
• All admission tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis until the total capacity of seats is sold out.
• Remaining tickets will be available at the venue one hour before each event.
• Purchased tickets are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, lost or damaged tickets are not refundable.
•A
ticket owner shall be eligible for compensation of admission fees due to cancellation of event. You have
30 days from the date of the cancelled event to submit your requests for ticket refunds at the place of
purchase. Postage and handling fees are not eligible for a refund.
• If the concert must be canceled after its launch due to bad weather or reasons of force majeure, the ticket
owner has no right to a refund of the tickets price.
•T
he Organiser reserves the right to delay the start of a performance by up to 120 minutes in the event of
bad weather.
• Tickets are only valid for the day, hour and place stated on the ticket and only with counterfoil.
•O
ne admission ticket entitles entrance by one person. Leaving the concert venue may invalidate your
ticket.
• It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to check the information carefully on the ticket as soon as it
is purchased.
• Falsifying admission tickets is an offence punishable by Czech Law.
DISCOUNTS
• Disability card holders (1person) and the physically disabled (1 person + assistance) - 30 % discount
with the appropriate identity card.
• ISIC and ITIC holders - 10 % discount with valid card
• Children’s fees – children under 6 years - free (without a right for a seat), children from 6 to 15 years 50-percfent discount for all performances
• Separate discounts for tickets cannot be combined.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FESTIVAL EVENTS
• All those attending performances or concerts shall follow instructions given by the organisers
• Cassette recorders, digital, film or video cameras, are not allowed on Festival grounds. It is strictly
forbidden to tape, record, film or photograph the Festival for private use.
• No pets allowed.
• Those visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or without proper attire will not be permitted to
attend the event.
• During concert performances, do not use mobile phones or smoke.
• Unless stated otherwise in the admission ticket, all visitors shall take their places in the auditorium at
least 10 minutes before the start of single events. After a concert or performance commences, no one
will be allowed to enter the auditorium until intermission.
• Infants of those attending concerts or performances will be asked to leave the auditorium if they cause
a continual disturbance.
• Changes in weather can influence open-air performances and concerts. Please check the local
weather forecasts and bring suitable clothing.
• Stilettos are forbidden on Český Krumlov Castle grounds.
• Please honour your seat assignments, and do not move chairs around the Festival venue.
• By purchasing the ticket, the purchaser agrees to the above-listed Terms and Conditions.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Those attending Festival Events give their consent to any photo, film, or sound recording that bears
their likeness while attending a Festival- or Festival-related event. This recording may be used for
future business purposes.
• The Festival Organizer reserves the right to change the cast or venue of a single performance or
concert.
• The program and performers may be subject to change without notice.

EINTRITTSKARTEN
• Eintrittskarten werden in der Reihenfolge der eingehenden Bestellungen verkauft, bis die Kapazität der
Zuschauerränge erschöpft ist.
• Restkarten sind 1 Std. vor Konzertbeginn am Veranstaltungsort erhältlich.
• Gekaufte Eintrittskarten können nicht zurückgegeben oder getauscht werden. Für verlorene
Eintrittskarten gibt es keine Erstattung.
• A nspruch auf Rückerstattung des Eintrittspreises hat der Kunde ausschließlich im Falle einer
Veranstaltungsabsage. Der Erstattungsanspruch kann am Ort des Kartenkaufs innerhalb eines Monats
vom Veranstaltungsdatum geltend gemacht werden. Post- und Verpackungskosten werden nicht
zurückerstattet.
• Falls das Konzert bereits begonnen hat und dann wegen Unwetters oder auf Grund höherer Gewalt
abgebrochen wird, verliert der Inhaber der Eintrittskarte das Recht auf Erstattung des Eintrittsgeldes.
• Bei schlechtem Wetter behält sich der Veranstalter das Recht vor, den Vorstellungsbeginn um bis zu
120 Minuten zu verschieben.
• Die Eintrittskarte gilt nur für den angegebenen Tag, die angegebene Stunde, den angegebenen Ort
und nur zusammen mit dem Kontrollabschnitt.
• Die Eintrittskarte berechtigt zum einmaligen Eintritt zur Veranstaltung. Nach dem Verlassen des
Veranstaltungsortes verliert die Eintrittskarte ihre Gültigkeit.
• Kontrollieren Sie bitte die Angaben auf der Eintrittskarte beim Erhalt derselben. Spätere
Reklamationen können nicht berücksichtigt werden.
• Die Fälschung von Eintrittskarten ist strafbar.
ERMÄSSIGUNGEN
• Besitzer eines Behindertenausweises (1 Person) und die Besitzer eines Schwerbehindertenausweises (1
Person + Begleitung) erhalten nach Vorlage des entsprechenden Ausweises eine Ermäßigung von 30%.
• Besitzer eines internationalen Studentenausweises ISIC und ITIC erhalten nach Vorlage des
entsprechenden Ausweises eine Ermäßigung von 10 %.
• Kinderermäßigung – Kinder bis 6 Jahren haben freien Eintritt (ohne Sitzplatzanspruch), Kinder von 6
bis 15 Jahren erhalten 50 % Nachlass für alle Veranstaltungen.
• Die einzelnen Ermäßigungen sind nicht kombinierbar.
ZUTRITT ZU DEN VERANSTALLTUNGEN
• Die Besucher von Konzerten oder Vorstellungen sind verpflichtet, den Anweisungen der Veranstalter
Folge zu leisten.
• Das Mitbringen von Tonbandgeräten, Filmkameras, Fotokameras und Videokameras in die
Veranstaltungs- und Konzerträume ist nicht erlaubt. Tonaufnahmen, Filmaufnahmen oder Video- und
Fotoaufnahmen sind auch für Privatzwecke streng untersagt.
• Es ist verboten, Haustiere in den Zuschauerraum mitzuführen.
• Zu den Veranstaltungen werden keine Besucher zugelassen, die unter Alkohol- oder Drogeneinfluss
stehen oder unpassend gekleidet sind.
• Während der Veranstaltung ist es verboten, Mobiltelefone oder andere elektronische
Kommunikationsmittel zu benutzen. Das Rauchen ist ebenfalls untersagt.
• Der Besucher ist verpflichtet, seinen Platz im Zuschauerraum 10 Minuten vor Beginn des Konzertes
oder der Veranstaltung einzunehmen, sofern nichts anderes auf der Eintrittskarte steht. Nach
Beginn einer Aufführung oder eines Konzertes ist bis zur offiziellen Pause kein Zutritt zu den
Veranstaltungsräumen möglich.
• Kinder, die die Veranstaltung stören, müssen den Zuschauerraum sofort verlassen.
• Veranstaltungen, die im Freien stattfinden, werden vom Wetter beeinflusst. Wir empfehlen deshalb den
Besuchern, der Witterung entsprechende Kleidung zu tragen.
• Beim Besuch der Konzerte, die im Inneren des Schlosses stattfinden, ist es verboten, Schuhe mit
Pfennigabsätzen zu tragen.
• Es ist verboten, die Stühle im Zuschauerraum umzustellen, Regenmäntel oder Decken wegzunehmen.
Der Besucher ist verpflichtet, die vom Veranstalter reservierten Plätze zu akzeptieren.
• Mit dem Kauf einer Eintrittskarte erklärt sich der Besucher mit den oben genannten
Veranstaltungsbedingungen einverstanden.
ALLGEMEINE BESTIMMUNGEN
• Der Besucher erklärt sich ausdrücklich damit einverstanden, dass alle Fotografien, Filme oder
Videoaufzeichnungen seiner Person, die im Rahmen oder im Zusammenhang mit der Veranstaltung
gemacht werden, mit Hilfe beliebiger technischer Methoden verwertet werden dürfen, und zwar ohne
finanzielle Vergütung und ohne zeitliche oder räumliche Begrenzung.
• Der Veranstalter behält sich das Recht vor, Konzertbesetzungen, Veranstaltungsbesetzungen oder
den Veranstaltungsort zu ändern.
• Ä nderungen im Programm und in der Aufstellung der Mitwirkenden sind vorbehalten.
