RESEARCH INTERESTS Development of molecular entities and processes to promote an active and healthy ageing and to act on the prevention of functional decline and frailty. Design and synthesis of new leads or alternatively their isolation from natural resources and structure elucidation. Some promising molecules for metabolic (diabetes), degenerative diseases (Alzheimer´s and Prion diseases, cancer) and infection are currently under investigation. 6.
