O conceito inovador da A Lot of Brasil foi criado em
2012 com o objetivo de criar móveis projetados por
designers famosos, ambos feitos com materiais
alternativos e com tecnologia de ponta. A marca
brasileira é a primeira produtora do design copyright
no Brasil. A Lot Of Brasil utiliza processos de alta
tecnologia de produção derivados das indústrias
aeronáutica e automotiva e materiais locais, muitas
vezes especificamente brasileira, vegetal ou de
recuperação e, para isso desenvolve sua própria
tecnologia de pesquisa para a produção, no Brasil, de
mobiliário. A A Lot Of Brasil marcou presença em feiras
importantes, tais como: Salão Internacional do Móvel de
Milão, ICFF NYC, DW México, Index Dubai. O desafio
da A Lot Of Brasil é promover um design sofisticado,
com um “coração sustentável”, que são acessíveis, e
fabricados no Brasil. Designers renomados colaboram
com a empresa, como Alessandro Mendini, Borek
Sipek, Fernando e Humberto Campana, Fabio
Novembre, Nika Zupanc, Paolo Ulian, Pininfarina,
Karim Rashid, Vico Magistretti, Pedro Franco.
The innovative concept of A Lot Of Brasil was born in
2012 with the goal of creating furniture designed by
famous designers, both made with alternative materials
and with cutting edge technology. The Brazilian brand
is the first producer of design copyright in Brazil. A Lot
of Brasil uses high-tech production processes derived
from the aeronautics and automotive industries, and
local materials, often specifically Brazilian, vegetable,
or recovery and to this end develops its own search
technology for the production, in Brazil, of furnishings.
A Lot Of Brasil participates since then to important fairs
such as: Salone del Mobile in Milan, ICFF NYC, Index
Dubai, DW Mexico. The challenge of A Lot Of Brasil is
to promote a sophisticated design, with a “sustainable
heart“, which are affordable, and manufactured in
Brazil. The designers of A Lot Of Brasil are: Alessandro
Mendini, Borek Sipek, Fernando and Humberto
Campana, Fabio Novembre, Nika Zupanc, Paolo Ulian,
Pininfarina, Karim Rashid, Vico Magistretti, Pedro Franco.
Fundado em 1983, em São Paulo, pelos irmãos Fernando
(1961) e Humberto Campana (1953), o Estudio Campana
se tornou famoso pelo design de mobiliário, por criações de
peças intrigantes - como as poltronas Vermelha e Favela - e,
também, por ter crescido nas áreas de Design de Interiores,
Arquitetura, Paisagismo, Cenografia, Moda, entre outras. O
trabalho dos Campana incorpora a ideia de transformação,
reinvenção e integração do artesanato na produção em massa; tornando preciosos os materiais do dia-a-dia, pobres ou
comuns, que carregam não só a criatividade em seu design,
mas também características bem brasileiras - as cores, as
misturas, o caos criativo e o triunfo de soluções simples.
Empresas como Alessi, Artecnica, Baccarat, Bernardaud,
Consentino, Corsi Design, Edra, Grendene, H. Stern,
Louis Vuitton, Magis, Moleskine, Nodus, Skitch, Trousseau,
Venini, entre outros, produzem as ideias materializadas pela
equipe do Estudio, que também assina sua própria linha de
edições limitadas, numeradas e de peças únicas criadas,
muitas vezes, em parceria com comunidades e ONGs.
Essas edições especiais são representadas por galerias
internacionais, incluindo Carpenters Workshop Gallery,
Friedman Benda Gallery, Firma Casa e Galleria O. Roma.
As peças Campana fazem parte de coleções permanentes
de renomadas instituições culturais como MoMa, em Nova
Iorque; Centre Georges Pompidou, em Paris; Vitra Design
Museum, em Weil am Rhein; Museu de Arte Moderna de
São Paulo e, também, Musée Les Arts Décoratifs, em Paris.
Os irmãos foram homenageados com o prêmio “Designer
do Ano” pela Design Miami, em 2008 e os “Designers do
Ano” pela Maison & Objet, em 2012. Neste mesmo ano,
eles foram selecionados para o Prêmio Comité Colbert,
em Paris; homenageados pela Design Week, em Pequim;
receberam a “Ordem do Mérito Cultural”, em Brasília, e
foram condecorados com a “Ordem de Artes e Letras”
pelo Ministério da Cultura da França. Em 2013, eles foram
listados pela revista Forbes entre as 100 personalidades
brasileiras mais influentes e, em 2014, a Wallpaper* os
classificou entre os 100 mais importantes designers.
Founded in 1983 in Sao Paulo by brothers Fernando (born
1961) and Humberto (born 1953) Campana, Estudio
Campana became famous for its furniture design and the
creation of intriguing objects such as the Vermelha and
Favela chairs and has grown to include Interior Design,
Architecture, Landscaping, Scenography, Fashion,
Artistic Partnerships and more. The Campanas work
incorporates the idea of transformation, reinvention and
the integration of craftsmanship in mass production.
Giving preciousness to common materials carries not
only the creativity in their design but also their very Brazilian
characteristics – the colours, the mixtures, the creative
chaos, the triumph of simple solutions. Companies such
as Alessi, Artecnica, Bernardaud, Baccarat, Corsi Design,
Consentino, Edra, Grendene, H Stern, Lacoste, Louis
Vuitton, Nodus, Magis, Moleskine, Skitsch, Trousseau,
Venini and others produce the ideas materialized by
the team at the studio, which also signs its own line of
limited numbered editions and unique pieces often crafted
in partnership with artisan communities and NGOs.
These special editions are represented by international
galleries including Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Firma
Casa, Friedman Benda and Galleria O. Campana pieces
are included in the permanent collections of the Centre
Georges Pompidou in Paris, the MoMa in New York,
the Musée Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Museum of
Modern Art in Sao Paulo and also the Vitra Design Museum
in Weil am Rhein. The brothers were honoured with the
Designer of the Year award in 2008 by Design Miami
and the Designers of the Year Maison & Objet award
in 2012. In the same year they were selected for the
Comité Colbert Prize in Paris, honoured at Beijing Design
Week, received the Order of Cultural Merit in Brasilia
and were awarded the Order of Arts and Letters by the
Minister of Culture in France. In 2013 they were listed
among the top 100 most influential Brazilian personalities
by Forbes magazine, and in 2014 Wallpaper* ranked
them among the top 100 major players in design.

COLEÇÃO ESTRELA
ESTRELA COLLECTION
A Coleção Estrela, desenvolvida pelo Estudio Campana
para a A Lot Of Brasil, conecta princípios artesanais à alta
tecnologia. Inspiradas nas bolachas-do-mar - parentes
próximos das estrelas-do-mar -, as peças são feitas
de metal, cujos ornamentos são recortados à laser e
unidos por uma solda robótica tecnológica, que permite
flexibilizar qualquer forma, mesmo muito fina, e unir as
diversas ‘bolachas-do-mar’, que configuram cada peça.
‘Como muitos de nossos conceitos, a nossa inspiração
vem da natureza. Para nossa primeira colaboração com
a A Lot Of Brasil, nos inspiramos nas bolachas-do-mar.
Enquanto criávamos as peças, imaginávamos uma
colônia de todas as bolachas-do-mar juntas’, explica
Humberto Campana. ‘A Lot Of conseguiu traduzir o
nosso universo de design dentro de uma coleção de
móveis democrática e fascinante, utilizando técnicas
refinadas para soldar aço e revestí-lo com pintura epóxi
em cores brilhantes’, adiciona Fernando Campana.
A estrela, reinterpretada e estilizada pela dupla, é
multiplicada em diversas dimensões, criando uma textura
única. A coleção é composta por poltrona, cadeira,
mesas, sofá, banqueta e luminária. ‘O conceito dessa
coleção é tão forte’, revela Pedro Franco, designer e
presidente da A Lot Of Brasil, ‘que ao vermos a coleção,
decidimos trocar completamente o conceito de nosso
estande na feira, sentindo a necessidade de configurá-lo
para que pudesse representar a atmosfera sugerida pela
coleção. Por essa razão, os irmãos Campana também
foram responsáveis pelo design do stand da A Lot Of
Brasil’. As estrelas estilizadas são multiplicadas em
tamanhos diferentes e projetada em todo o stand, a fim
de criar um espaço único, inegavelmente Campana.
Estrela Collection, designed by Estudio Campana
for A Lot Of Brasil, combines craftsmanship and high
technology. Inspired by the shape of the “bolacha do
mar” (a close relative ofthe starfish), the furnishings
are made of metal, laser cutted from futuristic robot
which could achieve any form, even very thin, and to
weld together the many “stars” that make each piece.
“As many of our concepts, our inspiration came from
nature. For our first collaboration with A Lot Of, we
were inspired by sea stars. When designing the
pieces of furniture, we imagined a colony of sea stars
all together”, says Humberto Campana. “A Lot Of was
able to translate our design universe into a beautiful and
democratic collection of furni- ture using fine techniques
to weld the steel and coat it with epoxy painting in bright
colours”, adds Fernando Campana. The natural form
of this echinoderm, reinterpreted and stylized by the
two brothers, is multiplied in different sizes, creating an
original texture. The collection consists of an armchair, a
chair, tables, a sofa, bench and lamp. “The concept of
this collection is so strong” says Pedro Franco, designer and
CEO of A Lot Of Brasil, “that after looked at it, we decided to
change completely the first draft of our stand in the fair, feeling
the need to set it up so that it could represent the special
atmosphere suggested by the collection. For this reason,
Fernando and Humberto Campana have also handled the
design of the stand of A Lot Of Brasil!” The stylized stars are
multiplied in different sizes and plastered all over the stand
in order to create a unique space, undeniably Campana.
