During my PhD thesis I developed a new integrated IT governance
framework. I gave specially attention to the Risk & Compliance
process. Using interviews I assessed my work with experts’
opinions. I also applied part of my work in a real world
organization.

During my master thesis I developed a maturity model for ITIL v3.
To do that I had to analyze several maturity models in the market
as for example the CMM, CMMI for Services, Bootstrap, etc. This
model was applied in some organizations in order to assess their
maturity level and identify the gaps and the main next steps.

This thesis was about a new methodology to assess the Information
Systems (IS) security using a method of analysis and decision. To do
that we elicited a set of security criterions for IS in general.
IT Governance Patterns for Portuguese Financial Industry
2012 to 2013
This thesis focused on a set of IT governance patterns for Portuguese
financial industry. The authors elicited the most known It governance
mechanisms and performed several interviews in financial institutions.
The authors also looked among the literature for evidences about IT
governance in other financial organizations.
Formalization of the IT Audit Management Process
2011 to 2012
The main contribution of this thesis was to model the IT audit
process/architecture based in the most known IT frameworks. The
authors used Design Science Research as research methodology. To
evaluate the proposal they interviewed IT audit experts in order to
add industrial experience to it.
