THE SPIRIT BEHIND A NOMAD
ANDRÉS ERGAS - PRESIDENT NOMADS OF THE SEAS
Fly-fishing, Heliski and nature have been my life’s passion, prompting me to travel to the most
unexplored corners of my country and the world. Having flown and sailed endless hours and
scouted various lands, I have concluded that Chilean Patagonia is definitely one of the most
wonderful places on earth. Its magical surroundings are the perfect setting for an operation
where passion and technology combine to create an unparalleled adventure in the planet’s sou
thernmost lands.
Our guests have the chance to savor this untouched paradise in the comfort and safety of a
beautiful state-of-the-art ship, the Atmosphere. With years in the making, the Atmosphere is a
truly versatile vessel that has been selected, among the planet`s top ten Explorer Yachts by
Super Yacht Magazine and as one of the top ten fishing venues of the World by Forbes
Magazine*, among other international recognitions and press articles that highlight the work our
team has performed these past years, making Nomads of the Seas a true worldwide reference.
Its unique platform allows you to explore this pristine area through three dimensions: air, land
and water. Snow capped peaks, crystal clear rivers and lakes, fjords, cold jungles, glaciers
and the volcanoes of the Southern Andes come together in an invigorating mix that combines
different and new custom made adventures that will, without a doubt knock your socks off.
I invite you to sail, walk and fly over Chilean Patagonia, to live a limitless experience of adventure.

ULTIMATE FLY-FISHING
EXCEPTIONAL LIVING
EXTRAORDINARY MEMORIES
Regardless of any difficulties of access, reaching each
and every fly-fishing spot within our wide range is a must.
Owing to flexible planning, we can tackle those changeable
conditions associated with water levels, meteorology and/or
fish behavior.
Patagonian lakes provide Rich vegetation and the ideal environment for insects, crustaceans,
offal and nymphs, as well as small fish, creating ideal fishing conditions on the surface or on
the bottom. A number of these large size lakes have regulatory effects on rivers, transforming
The highly advanced technology of our equipment enables
us to cater for an array of fly-fishing options during the same
trip. Anglers may fish a wide variety of water structures; from
crystal clear rivers with varied flows, winding inlets and spring
creeks, lakes or lagoons, surrounded by exquisite vegetation,
as well as the always amazing inter-tidal sections.
them into a calm and clear flowing habitat for fish, and the Patagonia into fishermen’s and
nature lovers’ haven and one the world’s most beautiful and revered fishing locations.
FISH
Our fly-fishing activities take place in pristine destinations chosen for
their singular beauty and great fishing condition. The humid and
cold southern forest hosts an abundant, large variety of salmonid
species; rainbow and brown trout, anadromous and coastal, resident
brook trout, silver, king, and occasionally, Atlantic salmon runs.
The program consists of daily outings led by trained guides,
one for every two anglers, who can stalk fish and suggest
the most appropriate casting and presentation techniques.
Moreover, they have skills regarding environmental
interpretation and wildlife behavior.
Daily transport relies on a customized structure based on a
helicopter, jet boats, zodiac R.I.B.s and smaller specialized
boats. Daily multiple itineraries via heli-fishing, heli-zodiac
and heli-drift tours constitute the features among the various
adventure options.

This program presents stimulating outdoor activities with a unique
scientific focus. Experts guide the wildlife excursions sharing
information and facts about the different species. These expeditions
combine a wide range of activities such as whale watching, bird
watching, nature photography and an array of outdoor activities
created for explorers interested in actively admiring the natural
beauty of Chilean Patagonia, as seen from a fresh angle. The
invitation is to experience the scenery with a unique perspective:
the thrill of jet-boating or rafting, the charm of kayaking and
trekking through Patagonia.
WILDLIFE ADVENTURES
WHALE WATCHING
The Chilean coast includes more than 50% of the cetacean species
on the planet. Being fully aware of the endless wonders offered by
the least known area of Chilean Patagonia, Nomads of the Seas has
created the first scientific whale-watching program in the country,
directed by a team of qualified marine biologist guides and based
on a true commitment to environmental protection and principles of
solid sustainability.
Species seen in this area: Peale´s, Commerson´s, Dusky, Chilean
Dolphin, and during February and March you may see Blue whales,
humpback whales and Orcas.
BIRD-WATCHING
Approximately 450 different bird species can be found in Chile,
many of which are endemic to the region. Unlike some tropical
areas, popular for their great variety of birds yet not always easily
accessible, Nomads of the Seas’ ample, varied and breathtaking
area offers full amenities for the identification, observation and safe,
easy documentation of its amazing birdlife.
Species seen in this area: Albatross, petrel, fulmar, herons, egrets,
black-faced Ibis, cormorants as well as two species of penguins
-Humboldt and Magellan- can be frequently seen throughout our
journey. Also numerous species of duck; whistling, wigeon, pintail, teal,
steamer and pochard, spectacular species of geese, a few species
of swans and the majestic Ringed Kingfisher, among other amazing
species.
NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY
We offer our guests an interesting photography program. Guided by
an environmental interpreter with a sound knowledge of analogue
and digital photography, as well as photographic composition among
others, the tour includes an infinite variety of landscape and nature
scenes, on land and at sea, as well as sea-shore.
Macro-photography is an option, both for endemic land invertebrates
and flowers -among them some unique species of little orchids- as well
as over those spectacular details of the forest floor we generally miss.
