This half-day workshop aims to provide an overview of the research advance in the field of structural characterization of
natural organic matter (NOM) from atmospheric and terrestrial environments with a view to improve our understanding on
the role played by NOM in many environmentally-relevant processes. This workshop will be held within the framework of
the ORGANOSOL research project (Organic Matter in Atmospheric Aerosols: Composition, Variability, and Sources at
Portuguese Urban Areas; PTDC/CTE-ATM/118551/2010, FCOMP-01-0124-FEDER019913).
