percurso de pinheiros e lagos,
esta moradia nasce do desejo de
partilha e evasão.

setting of pine trees and lakes,
this home is born from the desire
to share and enjoy leisure.

A vontade do cliente ter uma casa de praia na região algarvia, onde a família se reunisse e as crianças pudessem
desfrutar das férias escolares de verão, do Natal ou de uns
dias de sol na Páscoa, traçou o perfil deste projeto assinado
pelo arquiteto Carlos Castanheira com design de interiores concebido pela Ding Dong. Os interiores apropriam-se
da complexidade do conceito familiar reunindo peças de
diversa proveniência num todo eclético. Neste, como em
qualquer outro projeto Ding Dong, a inspiração surge da
forma mais imprevisível: “...nas viagens, num livro ou num
filme”, nas especificidades do próprio local onde vão intervir, e claro, no cliente, que à sua maneira introduz novos
elementos, que se pressentem no resultado final.
As cores, texturas e materiais afirmam-se no todo como
uma composição tridimensional: “Criamos massa, introduzimos volumes, acertamos proporções, criamos contrastes sem nunca perder de vista a composição como um
todo.” Aqui não existe um elemento que tenha sido alvo de
especial atenção, antes todos se interligam gerando camadas que se sobrepõem como uma narrativa que se adensa,
exímia nos detalhes e na qualidade de execução. Todos os
elementos são trabalhados sem preconceitos, reinventando
abordagens a nível de técnicas e materiais que permitem
uma nova e refrescante liberdade criativa. Sem sinais visíveis de ostentação, sem marcas expostas ou peças icónicas,
esta casa está repleta de escolhas menos óbvias comprometendo-se com um conforto luxuoso, que apenas os sentidos captam.
A seleção de peças de arte define parte da personalidade
do projeto, como mais um ingrediente essencial na trama
que define uma linguagem em convergência com a sensibilidade e o gosto do cliente. Neste refúgio algarvio, seria
impossível ficar indiferente ao quadríptico ‘Voar’ (2001)
de Helena Almeida, que se destaca na sala de estar como
um convite ao abrir de asas, dando o mote aos dias sem
horas, aos longos almoços em família, e ao vai e vem das
crianças que mergulham na piscina no ritmo frenético e
ameno que só as férias podem oferecer. ::
The client’s dream of having a beach home in the Algarve
region, where the family could get together and the children could enjoy their holidays during the summer or at
Christmas, or to snatch a few days of sunshine at Easter,
was what defined the profile of this project signed by the
architect Carlos Castanheira with the interior design being the responsibility of Ding Dong. The interiors are developed around the concept of family, bringing together
pieces from different origins to create an eclectic whole. In
this project, just as in any other carried out by Ding Dong,
inspiration is drawn from unpredictable sources: “ ... from
trips, from a book, or watching a film”, from the specific
features of the site of the intervention itself and, of course,
from the clients who, in their own way, introduce new elements, which are felt in the final result.
The colours, textures and materials come together as one
in this three-dimensional composition: “We create mass,
introduce volumes, verify proportions, create contrasts
without ever losing sight of the composition as a whole.”
Here, no one element has been singled out for special attention, rather, all of them are interconnected, creating
layers superimposed on each other like a narrative that
grows more complex, with careful attention to detail and
high quality execution of work. All of the elements are
worked on without pre-conceived notions, reinventing approaches in terms of techniques and materials, leading to
a new and refreshing creative liberty. Devoid of obvious
signs of ostentation, without visible labels or iconic pieces,
this home is brimming with less obvious choices that ensure a luxurious degree of comfort and that only the senses
can appreciate.
The selection of the art pieces define part of the personality of the project, as one more crucial ingredient in the
fabric that defines a language that seeks to address the
client’s sensibilities and tastes. In this Algarve refuge it’s
impossible to remain indifferent to the quadryptic ‘Voar’
(2001) by Helena Almeida, which dominates the living
room like an invitation to spread one’s wings, defining the
feel of these days where time is immaterial, with long family lunches and the coming and going of children as they
dive into the swimming pool with the frenetic yet mellow
rhythm that one can only feel when on holiday. ::

The chocolate-brown lacquered finish
and raw silk by Jim Thompson that

curtains and the carpet, establish the
foundation for a comfortable ambience;
