A YEAR OF SUCCESS CONTINUES

ale do Lobo is celebrating another year of success with exciting events, plans and developments
taking place across the resort and
well into 2016.
This year saw a marked increase in
the number of visitors coming to the
resort and renting properties, with
the summer being a huge success
for the Tourism Department with
positive results also being mirrored
in the Real Estate department.
The Official Vale do Lobo Real Estate
team have been exceptionally active
this year with the property market
buoyant and a new property portal
in the pipeline sure to boost success
for both buyers and sellers in the
resort. We have also seen the beginning of the construction of two new
properties covering double plots
in the Vale Real area of the resort
- demonstrating continued confidence for the future and representing just one of the many construction projects within Vale do Lobo.
Golf remains a very important part
of Vale do Lobo and the Royal and
the Ocean courses are not only wonderful places for Property Owners
and Club members to enjoy memorable rounds they are also key to
attracting new visitors to the resort
keen to experience Vale do Lobo golf
first-hand.
There are also exciting times ahead
in the Clubhouse with extensive
renovation works for Spikes Restaurant and locker area due to begin in
November and to be completed in
March. The entire area will be upgraded, and while works are taking
place, the Clubhouse will be temporarily relocated to the Auditorium.
Now the success of 2015 will be used
to boost the resort well into 2016.

muitas novidades dando continuidade à dinâmica de sucesso que o caracteriza.
Este ano assistiu a um marcado aumento do número de visitantes no resort, bem como do arrendamento de
propriedades, tendo o Verão sido um
retumbante êxito para o Departamento de Turismo, resultados esses que
se reflectiram igualmente no Departamento de Imobiliária.
A Equipa Oficial do Departamento de
Imobiliária de Vale do Lobo esteve particularmente activa e dinâmica durante
todo o ano, registando uma evolução
muito positiva nas tendências do mercado imobiliário. De igual modo, e em
fase de finalização do novo portal imo-
biliário online, antecipa-se agora um
grande interesse e sucesso com o seu
lançamento, como plataforma comercial de excelência na compra e venda
de propriedades no resort. Foram também iniciados os trabalhos de construção de 2 novas moradias em lotes duplos na área do Vale Real – apenas um
exemplo dos inúmeros projectos em
construção no resort, que demonstra,
uma vez mais, a confiança depositada
no futuro de Vale do Lobo.
Por sua vez, o golfe prevalece como
uma das componentes mais importantes do resort, sendo os campos
Royal e Ocean dos mais emblemáticos pontos de encontro na vida social
de proprietários, membros e mesmo
novos visitantes que desfrutam e partilham diariamente de uma experiência única de jogo, competitividade e
convívio em Vale do Lobo.
Aproximam-se também tempos excitantes para o Clubhouse, com uma
extensa renovação de toda a área,
incluindo os vestiários, com início a
16 de Novembro, e que deverá estar
concluída em Março. Toda a área será
remodelada e, durante os trabalhos,
o Clubhouse será temporariamente
transferido para o Auditorium.
Assim, o sucesso de 2015 será canalizado para impulsionar o resort em 2016.

POA AGM AND INTERNATIONAL EVENING
D
uring October, members of the
Property Owners Association
came together for the annual general meeting, with members having
the opportunity to discuss issues
affecting them followed by the ever
popular International Evening.
Both the meeting and the event
were once again very positive and
saw an encouraging number of
POA Members in attendance.
Also during the day a special tribute
was made to Brian Griffin, who is
retiring from the POA General Assembly, after 12 years of dedicated
service – our heartfelt thanks for his
work.
Members were able to relax after
the meeting during the International Evening which was deemed
to be a great success once again
and saw Property Owners enjoying
an array of delicious international
cuisine and live entertainment.

Vale do Lobo Christmas Market on
Saturday, 5th December.
Now in its sixth year, the hugely
successful Vale do Lobo Christmas
market is making a welcome return
to the resort with plenty of stalls,
entertainment and early Christmas
shopping opportunities.
Last year the market was enormously popular with over 1,000
visitors throughout the day enjoying all that was on offer and a record number of stalls providing a
huge amount of choice for guests of
all ages.
Look out for stands with exciting
products ideal as Christmas gifts,
enjoy delicious foods, mouth-watering wines and entertainment
for the children at this very special
event which raises money for the
Wolf Valley Charity Fund to support
various charitable causes in the local area.
The Christmas Market will be held
in the Vale do Lobo Auditorium on
Saturday 5th December, between
11:00h and 17:00h and is not only the
perfect place to embrace the season
but is also the ideal event to catch up
with friends both old and new and

naughty food, exercising less and
lots of winter colds and flus about.
Don’t let this winter effect your
health and take simple steps to

• Allow yourself to sleep. Many of
us are not getting enough sleep so
the winter is a great time to catch
up with your body naturally
tempted to sleep more thanks to
the longer winter nights.
• Avoid a cold. You are 80% more
likely to get a cold in winter, so
making sure your immune system is in tip-top condition is important. Milk and dairy products
such as cheese and yoghurt are
great sources of protein and vitamins A and B12.
• Try something new. It can be
tempting to hunker down in the
winter but don’t get stuck in the
house, instead try something
new that the whole family can
enjoy. Head down to the beach
for a walk, try a round of golf or
ask at the Fitness Centre about
the range of fun classes that are
available to keep you healthy
over the winter.

AMATEUR WEEK 2016
T
he hugely popular Amateur
Week golf tournament will be
returning to Vale do Lobo between
24th and 30th January 2016 and
bookings are being taken now to
take part.
Now in its 23rd edition, the Amateur Week is one of the highlights
on the golfing calendar in Vale
do Lobo, attracting golfers from
far and wide, all keen to enjoy the
competition on the courses and camaraderie in the club house.
A week of competition will be taking place between 24th and 30th
January beginning with an induction day and followed by a welcome
cocktail party. Various rounds and
sub competitions will be taking

cação e sub-competições nos seguintes dias, que culminam com a cerimónia de entrega de prémios e jantar para
participantes e convidados.

GOLF CLUB WELCOMES NEW CAPTAINS
T
he Vale do Lobo Golf Club has
welcomed the appointment
of new golf captains to the club
recently.
Mr. Peter Dellicompagni and Mrs.
Carin Plyhm have taken up the
position of Golf Club captains but
thanks is due to the out-going captains of David Collens and Leeza
Lynn for all of the hard the work
they have both done during their
time as captains.
While the captains may have
changed, the packed programme
of tournaments and events at the
Vale do Lobo Golf Club continues
with the next event being the Franco Vazzana trophy, being held on
8th November and next 4th annual
Knockout Week also taking place
between 15th and 21st November.
Already the 2016 Vale do Lobo golf
calendar has been issued featuring exciting tournaments and
competitions throughout the year
including the return of the Ama-

teur Week in January as well as the
many regular events, including
Sunday Greensomes and Golf Club
open Days taking place weekly and
monthly.

orks to improve the infrastructure of Vale do Lobo
continue, with Infralobo E.M beginning a new phase of important
renovations from 15th November.
The Mimosas area of the resort
will be affected by the works, with
houses located along Rua das Mimosas, next to the 15th and 16th
holes of the Royal Golf Course,
seeing considerable infrastructure renovations including upgrades to the domestic water
drainage system, the insertion
of a storm drainage network and
road infrastructure improvements including paving, curbs
and paths.
The works have been scheduled to
take place at a time of year when
there is less movement in the
resort to minimise disruption,
however we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to
residents and visitors.
Constantly working to invest and
improve the resort benefits both
property owners and guests and
demonstrates the dedication of
Vale do Lobo to maintaining the
luxurious and high quality amenities and surroundings.
Works are expected to be completed by end of May 2016, however if
any problems arise which may
lead to an extension of works then
please be assured that they will be
suspended during the summer
period to ensure minimal disruption during the peak season.

Numa primeira fase a renovação de
infraestruturas decorrerá na zona
das Mimosas, no aglomerado de
moradias localizadas na Rua das
Mimosas, junto aos buracos n.º 15 e
16 do campo de golfe Royal. Esta intervenção envolverá a renovação de
toda a rede de drenagem de águas
residuais domésticas e introdução
da rede de drenagem de águas residuais pluviais, assim como toda a
rede viária de pavimentação, lancis
e passeios pedonais, rede de abastecimento de água, telecomunicações
e gás.
Estes trabalhos representarão, certamente, uma grande valorização não
só para as propriedades desta área
como para o próprio resort, pelo
que, não obstante as obras terem
sido programadas para uma altura
do ano de menor movimento, pedimos as nossas mais sinceras desculpas por qualquer incómodo que
as mesmas possam eventualmente
causar.
Seguindo uma filosofia de constante
preocupação e dedicação em prol
da qualidade de excelência no resort, a Infralobo pretende assim assegurar os níveis de referência que o
diferenciam, procedendo à remodelação e homogeneização das infraestruturas da urbanização de Vale do
Lobo.
A conclusão dos trabalhos está prevista até ao dia 30 de Maio de 2016.
Todavia, e eventualidade de qualquer percalço no desenrolar dos trabalhos, poderá surgir a necessidade
de prolongar o prazo de conclusão
mas que não irão decorrer na época
alta de Verão.
