Vor der Eroberung durch römische
Heereseinheiten ist das Gebiet der
Rauriker d ü n n besiedelt. Einzig einige
Gehöfte und Dörfer unterbrechen die
bewaldete Landschaft. Auf dem Basler
Münsterhügel 10 km westlich von
hier besteht um 30 v. Chr ein erstes
Siedlungszentrum, ein befestigtes
Oppidum.
