1,000-rooms hotel under construction in Moscow – biggest Holiday Inn in the
world

The world„s largest hotel company InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) remains on top. 1,060 hotel
projects with more than 167.485 rooms are currently under development or construction. One of the
biggest is a 1,000-rooms hotel in Moscow: the Holiday Inn Crocus City (TOPHOTELPROJECTS Nr.
5639) due to open in the Russian capital during spring 2014.

According to IHG, developing the world‟s largest HOLIDAY Inn hotel will cost round about 100 million
US Dollars. Development partner is the Russian Crocus Group. “Crocus City” is the Moscow district of

Holiday Inn is the fastest growing brand within IHG. The second largest hotel in the Holiday Inn family
is the Holiday Inn Chengdu Century City in China with 965 rooms, the third largest the Holiday Inn
London Kensington Forum with 910 rooms.
