ENIAC-Austria
(European Nanoelectronics Initiative Advisory Council – Austria)
ENIAC ("European Nanolectronics Initiative Advisory Council") ins Leben gerufen.
FIT-IT) ebenso abdeckt wie internationale
F&E Projekte
ENIAC Austria is an open platform and acts as an industry driven enabler for national research and
development (R&D) activities in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics. The platform was funded in
2008 by Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie (BMVIT)“ and the
„Fachverband der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie (FEEI / WKÖ)“ as the major European technology
offensive ENIAC ("European Nanolectronics Initiative Advisory Council") was initiated.
Strategy: Support the development of a coherent national R&D strategy to enforce the position of Austria’s
industry and research areas in the context of international R&D activities and roadmaps (ENIAC Roadmap, EU
research frameworks and Catrene).
Communication: Setup of a communication platform for national and international research programs in the
area of micro and nano technologies (e.g. FIT-IT, ENIAC, Eureka, EU Framework Programs, Artemis,
Nanoinitiatives). Support by providing information and studies on related topics like R&D roadmaps, market
analysis and conferences.
Innovation Eco Systems: Information exchange on research and funding specific rules and regulations (e.g.
Human resources, R&D infrastructure, national requirements).
Partnering and networking: To support networking on a national level between industry, research institutes
and public authorities, as well as visibility and strategic enforcement of the Austrian micro- and nano
electronics research activities.
