Auf zum Endspurt!
Let’s finish strong!
Der Oktober war äußerst ereignisreich für die Apex Tool Group in
Westhausen. Über Allem stand natürlich der gelungene Auftritt auf
der Motek 2011 in Stuttgart. Aber auch unser erfolgreicher Start in
das Web 2.0 war ein wichtiger Schritt in die Zukunft. Letztlich freuten sich auch noch die Besucher des Family Days im Mai 2011 über
die Bekanntgabe der Gewinner des Luftballonweitflugwettbewerbs.
The month of October was very eventful for the Apex Tool Group
in Westhausen. Above all stood of course the appearance on the
Motek 2011 in Stuttgart. However, also our successful start in the
Web 2.0 was an important step into the future. Finally, the visitors
of the Family Day in May 2011 additionally celebrated their winners
of the balloon flying competition.
Ganz besonders freuen mich die Anerkennung und das Lob für den
Messestand der Motek, welche von Kollegen, Kunden, Besuchern
und unseren Wettbewerbern an das Messeteam gerichtet wurden.
Mit unseren zahlreichen Produktneuheiten, die wir in der letzten
Ausgabe des Newsletters vorstellten, konnten wir unsere Innovationskraft unter Beweis stellen.
I am exceptionally happy about the appreciation and praise for
the fair stand of the Motek which was directed to the fair team by
colleagues, customers, visitors and our competitors. With our numerous product news which we had introduced in the last edition
of the newsletter.
Im Rahmen der Messe sind aber auch die beiden Ausstellungsexponate unserer Auszubildenden und die virtuelle Tradeshow zu erwähnen, worüber wir detaillierter im Innenteil des Newsletters berichten.
Die Sonderprojekte unserer Auszubildenden sind wieder ein Beweis
für die praxisnahe Ausbildung sowie die volle Integration der jungen
Kollegen bei der Apex Tool Group.
On the occasion of the fair, I also have to mention the two exhibit
samples of our trainees and the virtual tradeshow. More detailed
information can be found in the inside of the newsletter. The
special projects of our trainees are another proof for the practiceoriented apprenticeship as well as the integration of the young
colleagues at the Apex Tool Group.
Die virtuelle Tradeshow ist ein zukunftsorientierter Weg hin zur
Nummer 1 in Kundenzufriedenheit und Kundennutzen. Wir bieten
auf dieser Plattform allen Besuchern, aber auch den verhinderten
Kunden und Interessenten, die Möglichkeit, die Messe noch einmal
Revue passieren zu lassen.
The virtual tradeshow is a future-oriented road to being the number
1 in customer satisfaction and customer value. On this platform,
we are offering all visitors, but also the customers and interested
parties who were tied up in their business, the possibility to let the
fair pass by again.
Nur wenige Stunden vor der Motek wurde außerdem der Auftritt des
Unternehmens in mehreren sozialen Netzwerken gestartet. Ab sofort
darf geliked, getwittert und gepostet werden, kleine Produktvideos
finden sich auch schon auf YouTube. Werden Sie Fan, folgen Sie
uns, sind Sie mit dabei…im neuen Medium Social Media!
Just a few hours before the Motek, the appearance of the company in several social networks was started additionally. From
now on, one can like, twitter and post contributions, short product
videos can already be found on YouTube. Become a fan, follow us,
join in…in the new medium Social Media!
Im kleinen Kreis und besonders herzlich fand Ende des Monats
die Siegerehrung des Luftballonweitflugwettbewerbs in unseren
Räumlichkeiten statt. Beeindruckend waren die geflogenen Weiten
der Ballons, die bis zu 840 km zurücklegten. Die kleinen und großen
Gewinner freuten sich sehr über ihre Preise.
In a circlet and especially cordial, the award ceremony of the
balloon flying competition took place in our facilities at the end of
the month. The flown distances of the balloons were very impressive, because they covered up to 840 km. The younger and older
winners were very delighted about their gifts.
„Höher, schneller, weiter“ ist sicherlich auch ein gutes Motto für die
verbleibenden Wochen in 2011. Insgesamt sind wir auf einem sehr
guten Weg in die Zukunft und ich rufe alle Mitarbeiter, Kunden und
Freunde der Apex Tool Group zu einem fulminanten Endspurt Richtung Jahresende auf. Packen wir’s an! Vielen Dank!
“Higher, faster, further“ is probably also a good slogan for the
lasting weeks of 2011. All together, we are on a very good way into
the future and I am appealing to all employees, customers and
friends of the Apex Tool Group for a fulminate finish till the year’s
end. Let’s get ready for action! Many thanks!

Ein toller Erfolg
A great success
Hektisch ging es zu im Hause Apex Tool Group während der
letzten Tage vor der Motek in Stuttgart. Wie so oft hielten Kleinigkeiten das Messeteam in Atem. Doch am Freitag vor der Messe
konnte der Stand am späten Abend zufrieden verlassen werden:
Alle Exponate, aber auch die letzten Details, waren platziert. Nach
zweijähriger Abwesenheit wurde der erste Messetag mit Spannung
erwartet.
During the last days before the Motek in Stuttgart, a hustle and
bustle escalated in the facilities of the Apex Tool Group. As usual,
little things kept the tradeshow team busy. However, on Friday
before the fair, the stand was left contentedly late in the evening:
All exhibit samples, but also the last details, had been placed. After
two years absence, the first fair day was awaited with eagerness.
Bereits einige Tage zuvor wurden die über 15 Produktneuheiten in
einer Sonderausgabe des Newsletters ToolTimes vorgestellt. Diese
generierten letztlich auch den enormen Andrang auf dem Stand,
sodass die großzügig eingesetzte internationale Standbesatzung
teilweise nicht mit den Beratungsgesprächen hinterher kam. Zusätzlicher Anziehungspunkt war aber auch der KTM X-BOW, der
sehr großen Anklang fand und begeistert bestaunt wurde.
Already some days before, the more than 15 products news had
been introduced in a special edition of the newsletter ToolTimes.
Those finally generated the enormous run on the stand, so that the
generously constituted international stand team sometimes had a
hard time to fulfill all necessary consulting. An additional attraction
was of course the KTM X-BOW which found great favor and was
gazed at enthusiastically.
Die Geschäftsleitung äußerte sich sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis
der Messe. Der Stand kam bei allen Besuchern und Mitarbeitern,
aber auch bei den Wettbewerbern, sehr gut an. Und auch kleinere
Pannen, wie der Diebstahl einiger Laptops sowie ein Geschirrspüler, der den Stand unter Wasser setzte, konnten die gute Stimmung
im Messeteam nicht trüben.
The management board expressed its absolute contentment with
the results of the Motek. The stand was well received by all visitors
and colleagues, but also amongst the competitors. And also small
slip ups like the theft of some notebooks or the dish washer that
flooded the stand, could not put the good humor down within the
tradeshow team.
Die Europazentrale der Apex Tool Group dankt nochmals allen
Organisatoren, Beteiligten und Herrn Zahn mit seinem Team der
Agentur Circle of Dreams für die reibungslose Zusammen- und
Mitarbeit. Mit Schwung starten wir nun in ein neues Jahr…denn
nach der Messe ist vor der Messe!
The European headquarter of the Apex Tool Group would like to
thank once more all organizers, involved persons and Mr. Zahn
with his team of the agency Circle of Dreams for the smooth
cooperation and teamwork. We are starting the new year full of
spirits…because after the fair is before the fair!

spring when every leaf is a flower.” Freely adapted from this
saying, the ambiance in the facilities of Westhausen was adjusted
appropriately.
Schon Albert Camus bemerkte richtig: „Der Herbst ist ein zweiter
Frühling, wo jedes Blatt zur Blüte wird.“ Frei nach diesem Sprüchlein wurde das Ambiente in den Räumlichkeiten in Westhausen
angepasst.

Mit Social Media an die Spitze

Web 2.0 und Social Media sind in aller Munde. Auch die Apex Tool
Group in Westhausen konnte pünktlich zur Motek 2011 den Einstieg
in das neue „Mitmach-Web“ feiern. Den Launch des neuen Firmenauftritts in Facebook, Xing und Co. gestalteten die beteiligten Mitarbeiter mit Beiträgen und Fotos zur Motek, sowie zwei Produktanwendungsvideos auf YouTube. Abgeschlossen wurden die ersten
Schritte mit der firmeninternen Veröffentlichung der Social Media
Guidelines und dem allgemeinen Aufruf zur zahlreichen Beteiligung.
Everybody is talking about Web 2.0 and Social Media. Also the
Apex Tool Group in Westhausen could celebrate its entry into the
new “join-in web” just in time for the Motek 2011. The launch of
the new company appearance in Facebook, Xing etc. were designed by the involved employees with postings and pictures of the
Motek as well as two product application videos on YouTube. The
first steps were completed with the company internal publication
of the Social Media Guidelines and the general appeal to participate numerously.

Die Gewinner des Family Day Wettbewerbs
The winners of the Family Day competition
Bitte flieg‘ ganz weit weg, das wünschten sich die großen und vor
allem kleinen Teilnehmer des Luftballonweitflugwettbewerbs am
Family Day im Mai 2011.
Please fly far away, that is what the older and younger participants
of the balloon flying competition during the Family Day in May
2011 wished for.
Und tatsächlich: Der Gewinner Luftballon flog ganze 840 km ins
schöne Nachbarland Polen. Stolz nahm die 4-jährige Siegerin Annika Röhberg ihre Urkunde und den Gutschein für eine Jahreskarte
ins Westhausener Freibad entgegen. Der Geschäftsführer der Apex
Tool Group in Westhausen, Andreas Kowol, freute sich aber auch
über die zweiten und dritten Plätze. Dabei teilten sich Thomas Niederfriniger und Tom Rathgeb mit 300 km den dritten Platz, denn ihre
Luftballons waren beide genau im gleichen Ort gelandet. Sie erhielten beide einen Kinogutschein für das Kino Aalen. Auch der zweite
Sieger beeindruckte die anwesenden Zuschauer der Siegerehrung
mit 334 geflogenen km. Johannes Kühner durfte sich über einen
Einkaufsgutschein im Wert von 50 Euro für das Spielwarengeschäft
Wanner in Aalen freuen.
And really: The winner balloon flew a full 840 km to the nice neighboring country Poland. Proudly, the four year old winner Annika
Röhberg accepted her certificate and the gift coupon for one year
free admission to the outdoor swimming pool in Westhausen. The
general manager of the Apex Tool Group in Westhausen, Andreas
Kowol, was also happy about the second and third rank. Especially, since Thomas Niederfriniger and Tom Rathgeb shared the
third rank with 300 km, because their balloons landed exactly in
the same town. They both received a gift coupon of the movie
theater in Aalen. Also the second winner impressed the present
audience of the award ceremony with 334 flown km. Johannes
Kühner gladly accepted his gift coupon worth 50 Euro for the toy
shop Wanner in Aalen.
Johannes Kühner berichtete abschließend noch über seinen Dankesbrief auf Englisch an die Familie in Prag, die die Postkarte seines
Luftballons nach Westhausen zurückgeschickt hatte. Diesem Dank
möchte sich die Apex Tool Group anschließen und gratuliert den
Gewinnern hiermit nochmals recht herzlich.
Johannes Kühner finally reported about his thank you letter in
English to the family in Prague who had sent back the postcard
of his balloon to Westhausen. The Apex Tool Group would like to
join in for this gratitude and would like to congratulate the winners
sincerely once more on this occasion.
