An experience not to be missed! Wear your trekking shoes and hike along the
rugged terrain of Samaria, Europe’s longest gorge.You will be impressed by
of the best scenery that Crete has to offer. At one point the walls are only 3
meters apart and are known as the “iron curtains” with sides rising sheer up
to 350 meters. The hike ends in the small village of Agia Roumeli of the South
Coast, where you can enjoy a swim in the cool waters of the Libyan Sea. Inthe
late afternoon, relax on the short cruise around the southern coastline to the
pretty coastal village of Chora Sfakion.

Imbros Gorge - Frangokastello
IMBROS GORGE-FRANGOKASTELO
Imbros is the second most popular gorge on Crete after Samaria. According to
our previous clients it is equally beautiful to Samaria. The route runs through
an 8 kilometers long valley between mountains and villages. Moreover, we
continue to Frangocastello, a venetian fortress located in the south coast of
the island. It is famous for the “dew men” (“Drosulites”), the phantoms soldiers, who lost their lives there during a great fight; they appear once a year,
in May, early in the morning. The trip is completed in traditional style, as we
pass through small villages of the region.
IMBROSSCHLUCHT – FRANKOKASTELLO
Die Imbrosschlucht befindet sich in der Region von Sfakia und ist die zweitbeliebteste Schlucht von Kreta nach der Samariaschlucht. Nach Meinung unserer Gaeste ist die Imbrosschlucht genauso schoen wie die Samariaschlucht.
Die Schlucht ist ein 8 km langes Tal (die Wegstrecke – 8km 650m/ungefaehr
2,5 Stunden) zwischen den Bergdoerfern Imbros (Hoehe 780m) und Komitades (Hoehe 200m). Die Strecke fuehrt durch das Flussbett und die spektakulaerste Stelle ist, wenn die Schlucht eine Enge von nur 1,60 m aufweist und
die Waende 300 m in die Hoehe ragen. Danach geht unser Ausflug weiter
nach Frankokastello, das an der Suedkueste am lybischen Meer liegt. Die Festung ist bekannt als (“Drosulites”) Schatten der Soldaten, die ihr Leben dort
nach der grossen Schlacht von 1828 verloren haben und jedes Jahr im Mai im
Morgengrauen erscheinen. Unser Trip endet im traditionellen Stil, indem wir
kleine Bergdoerfer passieren.

dociera się drogą poprzez Biale Gory. Wedrówka rozpoczyna się z plaskowyżu
Omalos na wysokości 1250 m n.p.m. Wąwóz mający 16 km długości, jest
najdłuższy w Europie. Jego szerokość w najwęższym miejscu - “Żelazne Wrota” wynosi 3,5 metra. Różnorodność krajobrazów i roślin, które Kreta ma do
zaoferowania, jest zachwycająca. Szlak kończy sie w małej miejscowości Agia

Imbros est la deuxième plus connue gorge sur l’ l’île de Crète après Samaria.
Selon nos clients, elle est jolie comme la gorge de Samaria. La route passe a
travers d’une vallée de 8 kilomètres, longue, entre des montagnes et des villages. Ensuite, nous continuons à Frangocastello, une forteresse venetienne
localisée au Sud. C’est connue pour “les hommes de roséel” (“Drosulites”),
les soldats fantômes, qui ont perdu leur vie pendant un grand combat; ils
apparaissent selon la tradition, une fois par an, en mai, très tôt le matin. Le
voyage est accompli d’une facon traditionelle, en passant par les petits villages traditionnels de la région.

Imbros jest drugim (po Wąwozie Samaria) pod względem sławy i
popularności wąwóz na Krecie. Ma okolo 8 km długości, sama wąska częśc
jest 1,60m, przechodzi przez 11 kilometrową doline. Przejście zajmuje około
3 godziny.Wyjście z wąwozu jest w pobliżu miejscowości Komitades skąd
zabiera nas autobus na południowym wybrzeżu wyspy do Frangokastello.
Słynie “rosa ludzi” (“Drosulites”), fantomy żołnierzy, którzy stracili tam życie
w czasie wielkiej walki; pojawiają się one raz w roku, w maju, wcześnie rano.

Następnie, pojedziemy do słynnej miejscowości Matala, gdzie w latach 60-tych, groty
Matali były ulubionym miejscem spotkań hippisów z całego świata. Można tam spotkać
„ostatniego” Hippisa. Przygotowujemy się do odkrywania starożytnego świata w Fajstos. W drodze powrotnej zobaczymy mjasteczko Spili i będziemy mieli okazję orzezwic

beach known as “Triopetra”. Take one of the best “selfies” of your life! Further more, our path takes us to the dunes of saint Pavlos, a compination of
religious beauty and Egypt-like landscape. Finally, we reach the coastal village of Agia Galini with its fine white houses, built in Satorini’s way- across
its three surrounding mountains.
