Let`s work together!
Content Many children and young people who receive support from child and youth welfare services also experience mental health problems and are therefore in need of adequate child and adolescent mental health services. Similarly, it is often the case that children and young people who are already using mental health services also require support by children and youth welfare services. Children and young people with such complex needs are therefore reliant on services which are delivered by a variety of disciplines and services, which work together in a well-coordinated system of helping professions. However, vaguely defined responsibilities, financial pressures, and differing professional viewpoints, amongst other factors, often hinder successful interprofessional collabo- rative practice. As a result, children and young people sometimes do not receive the best possi- ble services, but instead are moved back and forth between both systems: interventions are discontinued unsuccessfully. Costs might actually increase, while the prognosis for children and adolescents deteriorates. Registration Attendance to the conference is free. Please register until the 31.12.2014 by emailing [email protected]. Location University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW) Berliner Tor 2 Aula 20099 Hamburg.
