PIANO Aktuell Veranstaltungen / Events PIANO La Physique des Ions, de l'Analyse a la Nanotechnologie Physik mit Ionen von der Materialanalyse zur Nanotechnologie PIANO 20th - 26th september 2005 Die Schule soll allen Angehörigen grosser Forschungsorganisationen (CNRS und CEA in Frankreich, Max-Planck-, Helmholtz- und Leibniz-Gesellschaften in Deutschland) sowie Universitätsangehörigen offen stehen, die sich beruflich mit Ionenphysik beschäftigen oder zukünftig beschäftigen werden und sich einen Überblick über bestehende Kenntnisse und Methoden verschaffen wollen, um diese dann gezielt auf ihr Projekt im Bereich der Materialanalyse und Nanophysik anwenden zu können. Thema: Die Physik der Wechselwirkung von schnellen Ionen mit anorganischer und organischer Materie war besonders seit der Entwicklung von Teilchenbeschleunigern ein wichtiger Motor technischen Forschritts. Besonders hervorzuheben sind hier z.B. zerstörungsfreie Materialanalyse und die weitverbreitete Anwendung von Implantationstechniken in der Halbleiterindustrie. Ziel der Sommerschule PIANO ist es, die bestehenden Kenntnisse über die Wechselwirkung von Ionen mit Materie im Hinblick auf ihre Anwendung in der Material- und Oberflächenanlyse und für neue Anwendungen besonders im Bereich der Nanotechnologie zu vermitteln. Hier sind die beiden Länder weltweit führend und verfügen mit den drei Beschleunigerlabors GSI Darmstadt, HMI-ISL Berlin und GANIL-CIRIL Caen über hervorragende Forschungszentren, die auch von Forschergruppen aus den Universitäten intensiv genutzt werden.
