NOMEN PRODUCTS supports Earthrace project
Mit dem 78’Wavepiercing Trimaran will Pete Bethune, Initiator des
neuseeländischen Earthrace Projects, den bestehenden Rekord
von 75 Tagen für die Weltumrundung mit einem Powerboot brechen. Das Boot wird ausschließlich mit erneuerbaren Brennstoffen angetrieben. Das Earthrace Projekt wird weltweit von
vielen Sponsoren unterstützt. Die vielfach ausgezeichnete
Nomen Klampe ist mit an Bord. Im Oktober 2006 wird der Racer
in Hamburg erwartet, wo er im Rahmen einer Welt-Tour der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt wird.

With his 78’ Wavepiercing Trimaran Pete Bethune, initiator of the
Kiwi Earthrace project, plans to smash the current world record of
75 days for circumnavigating the globe in a powerboat. The boat
is exclusively fuelled with biodiesel. Many sponsors from all over
the world are supporting the Earthrace project. The multiple awarded Nomen Cleat is also on board. In October 2006 the racer is expected to visit Hamburg during its World Tour which is planned in
order to make the project well known everywhere.

Recently, company Mankiewicz Gebr. & Co., the paint manufacturer located in Hamburg, demonstrated once again that
ALEXSEAL® Yacht Coatings, apart from offering optimum gloss
and colour retention as well as good application and maintenance properties, also supplies a variety of colours.
During the building of the Wally yacht “Tiketitoo”, a copper colour
shade was specifically designed for this ship which caused a sensation in the yacht market. Now, during a refit, ALEXSEAL® was
required to make this unique colour shade shine in new splendour.
No problem for company Mankiewicz! The company’s main focus
is on research and development; it can utilize the newest pigments
and UV stabilizers and combine them with advanced hybrid topcoats.
Thus, the newly coated surface combines appearance, brilliance
and durability in an optimal way. The unique appearance was emphasised by the name “Tiketitoo” being painted directly onto the
mirror like surface in yet another custom-made colour shade.
