Dear members and friends,
On behalf of the 2014 Chino Valley D.E.S. Club Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce
the schedule of events for the upcoming year that will take place. We are eager to begin these
festivities to celebrate our culture and traditions. It is our hope that our Portuguese community
comes together to continue the traditions of our ancestors for future generations to come.
Without the support of our community and members, these celebrations would not be possible.
We hope to see both new and familiar faces at our events this year. Additional information
pertaining to these celebrations will be announced as the dates of these events approach.
Our Lady of Fatima Auction: April 6th
Our Lady of Fatima Celebration and Rosary: May 13th to 18th
Immigrant Celebration: July 13th
Holy Spirit Celebration Auction: July 20th
Holy Spirit Celebration and Rosary: August 19th to 25th
Chino D.E.S. Philharmonic Celebration Auction: September 14th
Chino D.E.S. Philharmonic Celebration: October 4th and 5th
Matança: October 18th
Halloween Party: October 26th
Christmas Party: December 21st
New Year’s Party: December 31st
Member’s Meeting: January 11th
We are also very happy to announce the Our Lady of Fatima Celebration Chair, Angela Avila
Lourenço. We are grateful for her willingness to organize this event for our community and we
are confident that Our Lady of Fatima will guide her in this process.
Again, we are excited for the upcoming year and look forward to seeing you at these events.

Caros membros e amigos,
A direcção do Chino Valley D.E.S. Club de 2014 gostaría de anunciar as datas dos eventos deste
ano. Anticipamos celebrar estas festas da nossa cultura e das nossas tradições. Esperamos que a
nossa comunidade portuguesa se une para continuar com as tradições dos nossos antepassados
para as gerações futuras. Sem o apoio da nossa comunidade e dos membros, estas celebrações
não seríam possíveis. Esperamos ver mais gente nas nossas festas acompanhar os que já
habitualmente nos acompanham. Ao aproximar-nos dos eventos, anuniciaremos mais informação
específica.

Temos o prazer de anunciar que a Angela Avila Lourenço está encarregada de organizar a Festa
de Nossa Senhora de Fátima. Agradecemos à Angela pela sua vontade de organizar este evento
para a nossa comunidade e estamos confiantes que a Nossa Senhora a vai guiar neste processo.
