It is a delightful blend of fresh limes, sugar and cachaça – a Brazilian spirit made from sugarcane. No one knows for sure who invented it. Some say workers on sugarcane plantations concocted it. Others tell tales that the inventors were sailors transporting cachaça to Portugal. What we do know is it is distinctly Brazilian and delicious.
