MSF Group - The History
A génese do Grupo MSF teve lugar em 1969, ano da
fundação da MSF Engenharia, S.A. Desde então, o Grupo
MSF tem vindo a contribuir para o desenvolvimento do
País, através da participação na concepção e construção
e grandes projectos de engenharia, quer se trate de obras
hidráulicas, infra-estruturas de transportes, construção
industrial ou de edifícios.
Em 1997, a empresa iniciou um processo de
internacionalização, tendo vindo a desenvolver projectos
em Angola, Bulgária, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Camarões,
Cazaquistão, Emirados Árabes Unidos, Gabão, Gana,
Guiné Equatorial, Moçambique, Moldávia, Namíbia, Polónia,
Qatar, São Tomé e Príncipe, Senegal e Serra Leoa, para
além de ter em estudo projectos de investimento noutros
países de África, Europa, Ásia e Médio Oriente.
Paralelamente à sua actividade de construtora, a MSF
diversificou a sua actuação e investimentos a outros
sectores de actividade, tendo sido accionista fundadora do
Banco Comercial Português, da Companhia de Seguros
Ocidental e da Valores Ibéricos, holding de controlo do
Banco Totta e Açores.
Em 1998 teve lugar a reorganização da estrutura das
participações do Grupo MSF, que culminou com a
constituição da MSF - Sociedade Gestora de Participações
Sociais, S.A., holding do grupo.
Actualmente, o âmbito de intervenção do Grupo MSF,
através das empresas directa ou indirectamente
participadas, estende-se aos sectores de actividade da
Construção e Obras Públicas, do Imobiliário e Turismo,
das Concessões de Infra-estruturas e das Tecnologias de
Informação.
O Grupo MSF mantém como orientação estratégica o
reforço na internacionalização da sua actividade, bem como
a aposta na qualidade, de que é exemplo a certificação do
Sistema Integrado de Gestão da Qualidade, Segurança e
Ambiente da MSF Engenharia, S.A..
Credibilidade, solidez económica e financeira e
competência técnica são os princípios fundamentais que
regem a actividade da MSF desde a sua génese e que
integram a sua visão para o futuro.

The MSF Group originated in 1969, the year in which
MSF Engenharia, S.A. was founded. From that time, the
MSF Group has been contributing to the development of
Portugal, through its participation in the conception and
construction of large scale engineering projects, ranging
from hydraulic works, o transportation infrastructure, and
industrial and building
construction.
In 1997, the company initiated the internationalization
process and since then has been developing projects in
Angola, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cameroon,
Gabon, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Kazakhstan, Moldavia,
Mozambique, Namibia, Poland, Qatar, São Tomé and
Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone and United Arab Emirates
and is evaluating investing in other countries in Africa,
Europe, Asia and Middle East.
In parallel to the construction, MSF diversified its
activities and investments to other activity sectors. It was
a founding shareholder of Banco Comercial Português,
Companhia de Seguros Ocidental and of Valores Ibéricos,
holding of control of Banco Totta e Açores.
In 1998 the MSF Group organizational structure was
revisited. This restructuring culminated in the constitution
of the MSF - Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais,
S.A., the group’s holding company.
Presently, the scope of intervention held by the MSF
Group, through those companies in which it directly or
indirectly holds shares, spans through diverse activity
sectors, including Construction and Public Works, Real
Estate and Tourism, Infrastructure Concessions and
Information System Technologies.
The MSF Group strategic guidelines include reinforcing
its internationalization, along with its investment in
quality, exemplified by the certification of the Integrated
Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System
of MSF Engenharia S.A.
Credibility, economical and financial soundness and
technical competence are the main values that govern
MSF’s activities since its foundation and comprise its
vision.

Desde a sua fundação, em 20 de Outubro de 1969, e ao longo de toda a sua actividade,
a MSF protagonizou a execução de projectos de engenharia de grande envergadura e

A ampla experiência adquirida, um dos mais valiosos activos da empresa, permite-lhe
intervir em todos os segmentos e especialidades da construção, em domínios tão diversos
como barragens, túneis, redes de rega, condutas e canais, obras marítimas, estradas,
autoestradas, pontes, viadutos, caminhos de ferro, aeroportos, infra-estruturas, construção
industrial e construção e recuperação de edifícios.
One of the company most valuable assets is the vast experience which it has acquired.
This experience enables the organisation to participate in all of the diverse construction
segments and speciality areas including; dams, tunnels, irrigation networks, conduits
and canals, maritime works, roads, highways, bridges, viaducts, railways, airports,
industrial construction and construction and rehabilitation of buildings.

iniciou a sua internacionalização em 1997, criando a Divisão Internacional e elegendo como
mercados preferenciais África e Europa Central e de Leste.
Aware of the need to expand its capabilities beyond the country’s frontiers, MSF began
to internationalise in 1997 with the creation of its International Division and the election
of primary target markets including Africa, Central and Eastern Europe.

Vocacionada para o sector da Construção Civil e Obras Públicas, a MSF actua de forma
estreita e integrada com as outras participadas do Grupo, nomeadamente com a MSF
TUR.IM, na área do turismo e imobiliário, e com a MSF Concessões, empresa do Grupo
especializada no planeamento, aquisição e gestão das participações no mercado nacional
e internacional de concessões de serviços e de obra públicos.
Focused on the Civil Construction and Public Works Sector, MSF interacts closely and
in an integrated manner with the other group companies, namelly with MSF TUR.IM, in
the tourism and real estate segment, and with MSF Concessões, the Group subholding
specialized in planning, acquisition and management of participations in public works
and services concession companies in both national and international markets.

Quality, Safety and Environment
Consciente dos desafios que terá de enfrentar e da necessidade de criar novas condições para o
desenvolvimento auto-sustentado da empresa, a MSF adoptou medidas de organização que lhe permitem
posicionar-se face às oportunidades emergentes do mercado.
É disso exemplo a implementação de sistemas de informação inovadores e a introdução de processos
inovadores de controlo de gestão, com vista ao aumento da eficácia da empresa e à maior eficiência no
acompanhamento de projectos em desenvolvimento.
Da mesma forma, a orientação para a Qualidade, Segurança e Ambiente tem sido uma constante na actuação
da MSF, reconhecida em 2007, com a certificação nestas três áreas. A empresa passou, assim, a pertencer
ao restrito grupo de empresas do sector certificadas nestes três âmbitos.
A certificação no vasto âmbito do Sistema Integrado de Gestão da Qualidade, Segurança e Ambiente da
MSF foi sequência da anterior certificação em Gestão de Qualidade (desde 2001). Com esta certificação,
resultante da sua exigente política de melhoria contínua, a empresa passou a ser certificada pelas normas
NP EN ISO 9001 (Qualidade), OHSAS 18001 (Saúde e Segurança) e NP EN ISO 14001 (Ambiente).
O âmbito de certificação abrange a execução de Obras de Construção Civil e Obras Públicas da MSF em
território Português, incluindo as actividades de:
• preparação dos locais de construção, escavação, demolições e terraplenagens;
• construção de edifícios, no todo ou em parte, instalações especiais e acabamentos;
• construção geral de vias de comunicação, vias férreas , aeroportos, obras de urbanização e outras infraestruturas;
• construção geral de armazéns, edifícios industriais e comerciais;
• construção geral de pontes, viadutos, túneis e passagens subterrâneas;
• construção geral de obras hidráulicas e condutas de longa distância, incluindo para água.
Aware of the upcoming challenges, and the need to create new conditions for self-sustained corporate
development, MSF adopted organisational measures to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the
market.
An example is the implementation of information systems and the introduction of innovative management
control procedures in order to increase the effectiveness of the company and improve the efficiency of
ongoing project surveillance.
Likewise, the focus on Quality, Safety and the Environment has been a constant throughout the activities
undertaken by MSF, which received certification in these three areas in 2007. The company thus joined a
limited group of companies in the sector that hold this certification in these three areas.
MSF’s certification of the vast scope of the company Integrated Quality, Safety, and Environmental
Management System was obtained following its previous Quality Management certification from 2001.
This certification is the result of the company’s demanding policy for continual improvement, and includes
certification for compliance with the NP EN ISO 9001 (Quality), OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) and NP
EN ISO 14001 (Environment).
The scope of this certification includes the execution of Civil Construction and Public Works by MSF in
Portuguese territory, and specifically covers the following activities:
• preparation of construction sites, excavation, demolitions and earth-moving;
• construction of buildings, in whole or in part, special installations and finishes;
• general construction of roadways, railroads, airports, urbanisation works and other infrastructure;
• general construction of warehouses, industrial and commercial buildings;
• general construction of bridges, viaducts, tunnels and underpasses; and
• general construction of hydraulic works and long distance pipelines, including those intended for water.

A MSF tem vindo a reforçar os seus Quadros, através
do recrutamento de estagiários junto das Universidades
e Escolas Técnico-Profissionais que, nos diferentes
sectores da empresa, têm encontrado oportunidades de
inserção na vida profissional activa.
Investing in the valorisation of Human Resources through
professional training and continual expansion of their
strategic competences, MSF believes that based on these
assumptions the company can strengthen its performance
and flexibility, which are indispensable to the continual
development process. It is our constant concern to value
the employees and to identify those training requirements
needed for improved professional performance.
MSF has been reinforcing its Staff through the
recruitment of interns from the Universities and
Technical-Professional Schools. These individuals have
found opportunities for inclusion in an active professional
life throughout the different sectors of the company.

Hydraulic works
A MSF é uma das empresas portuguesas com maior número
de obras hidráulicas construídas em Portugal, nomeadamente
barragens, túneis, redes de rega, condutas e canais e obras
marítimas.
Em 1969, a sua actividade iniciou-se exactamente com a
construção da Barragem do Fratel, tendo depois, ao longo
da sua existência, participado na construção de mais de uma
dezena de grandes barragens.
Nos diversos segmentos das obras hidráulicas, a MSF aplicou
mais de 1.500.000 m3 de betão, movimentou mais de 8.000.000
m3 de terra, montou mais de 200 km de condutas de grande
diâmetro e executou mais de 10 km de túneis.
MSF is one of the Portuguese companies with the greatest number
of hydraulic works built in Portugal, including dams, tunnels,
irrigation networks, conduits and canals and maritime works.
In 1969, corporate activity began exactly with the construction of
the Fratel Dam, and since then the company has participated in the
construction of more than ten large dams.
Throughout the diverse segments of hydraulic works, MSF has placed
over 1,500,000 m3 of concrete, moved more than 8,000,000 m3 of
earth, placed more than 200 km of large diameter conduits and bored
more than 10 km of tunnels.

Transportation infrastructures
As obras executadas pela MSF no domínio das Infra-estruturas de Transportes, que inclui
estradas, auto-estradas, pontes e viadutos, túneis, caminhos-de-ferro, metropolitano e
aeroportos, demonstram a grande experiência e capacidade da empresa neste sector,
sendo de realçar a construção de mais de 500 km de auto-Estradas, no mercado
nacional e internacional, e a construção de Pontes e Viadutos de grande dimensão, de
que é um bom exemplo a Ponte sobre o Tejo no Carregado, a Ponte da Lezíria, com uma
extensão total, incluindo viadutos, de 12 km.
A MSF possui igualmente uma enorme experiência na implementação e gestão de
projectos de Concessões Rodoviárias, como o atestam a sua participação nos projectos
da Auto-Estradas do Atlântico, da Brisal, Auto-estradas do Baixo Tejo ou Auto-Estrada
Litoral Oeste. As participações nestes projectos, após a fase inicial de implementação,
são concentradas e geridas pela MSF Concessões – SGPS, S.A., empresa do Grupo
responsável por esta área de negócio.
The construction projects executed by MSF within the sphere of transportation
infrastructure includes roads, highways, bridges and viaducts, tunnels, railways,
subway systems and airports, thus demonstrate its vast experience and the knowhow of the company in this sector. Notably the company track record includes the
construction of more than 500 km of highways in Portugal and abroad markets, and
the construction of large scale bridges and viaducts, including the Bridge over the Tejo
at Carregado, the Lezíria Bridge, with a total extension of 12 km, including viaducts.
MSF has similarly a vast experience in the implementation and management of
roadway concession projects, as demonstrated by the company participation in the
following concessions: Auto Estradas do Atlântico, Brisal, Auto-estradas do Baixo Tejo
and Auto Estradas Litoral Oeste. The participation in these projects, after the initial
implementation phase, is concentrated and managed by MSF Concessões – SGPS,

No domínio da Construção Industrial, a MSF tem uma

A MSF iniciou em 1971 a construção dos edifícios “Palma”
e “Laranjeiras”, e desde então muitos foram os edifícios
construídos e recuperados, não apenas em regime de
empreitada para terceiros, mas também de promoção
imobiliária da própria empresa, de que são exemplos o
Pateo Bagatella, nas Amoreiras, em Lisboa, ou a Marina
de Lagos, no Algarve.
A sua larga experiência estende-se a edifícios de habitação,
escritórios, comércio, hotéis e hospitais.
In 1971 MSF started the construction of the “Palma” and
“Laranjeiras” buildings. Since then many buildings have
been constructed and recovered by the company, not only
as a contractor hired by third parties, but also as the real
estate promoter held by the company itself. Examples of this
include Pateo Bagatella, in Amoreiras, Lisbon, Marina de
Lagos in the Algarve.

A MSF tem desenvolvido projectos em países tão diversos
como Angola, Bulgária, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Camarões,
Cazaquistão, Emirados Árabes Unidos, Gabão, Gana, Guiné
Equatorial, Malta, Moçambique, Moldávia, Namíbia, Polónia,
Qatar, São Tomé e Príncipe, Senegal ou Serra Leoa, para
além de ter em estudo projectos de investimento noutros
países de África, Europa, Ásia e Médio Oriente.
A estratégia de internacionalização da MSF iniciou se com
a criação da Divisão Internacional da MSF (DVI) em 1997,
ficando estabelecidos como segmentos de mercado as
Obras Públicas e Construção Civil e como mercados alvo o
Leste Europeu e África.
A actividade comercial além fronteiras teve início ainda no
ano de 1997, em África, tendo como resultado a adjudicação
do primeiro contrato em Cabo Verde em Maio de 1998,
destinado à Extensão da Pista do Aeroporto do Sal, obra no
valor de 6 milhões de euros com um prazo de execução de
um ano, ao qual se seguiram outros contratos neste país.
Em África, a actividade da MSF foi-se estendendo a Angola,
Burkina Faso, Camarões, Gabão, Gana, Guiné Equatorial,
Moçambique, Namíbia, S. Tomé e Príncipe, Senegal e Serra
Leoa, países onde é responsável por obras de envergadura
que contribuem para o seu desenvolvimento, nomeadamente
através da participação na concepção e construção de
grandes e complexos projectos de engenharia, nos quais
a MSF aplica a sua sólida experiência e recursos altamente
qualificados, estando apta a corresponder às actuais
exigências dos mercados africanos.
No Centro e Leste Europeu, a actividade iniciou-se pelo
estudo do mercado polaco, a partir de 1999, e pela criação
da empresa de direito polaco MSF Polska, no ano de 2001,
que tem actuado como prestadora de serviços na área
técnica, nomeadamente na elaboração de orçamentos que
suportam as propostas apresentadas nos concursos.
O ano de 2013 iniciou-se com a reorganização da estrutura
da MSF em pólos regionais, que configuram um reforço da
aposta na internacionalização.
Para gerir os recursos nos países onde a empresa já está
presente ou nos quais pretende iniciar actividade, foram
criados pólos regionais internacionais: África Ocidental,
África Austral, Europa do Leste e Ásia, e Médio Oriente.
MSF has been developing projects in Angola,

MSF created an International Division and initiated
its internationalization in 1997. At this time the
market segments were established to include Civil
Construction and Public Works and the target market
locations were established as Eastern Europe, and
Africa.
The commercial activity abroad initiated still in
1997, in Africa, having as a result the award of the
first contract in Cape Verde in May of 1998 for the
extension of the runway at the Sal Airport. The
contract was valued at 6 million Euros, and had a
contract period of one year. Other contracts were
subsequently obtained in this country.
MSF expanded its activities in the African Continent
to Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Equatorial
Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia, S.
Tomé and Principe, Senegal and Sierra Leone. MSF
performed very large-scaled projects and complex
engineering projects that noticeably contributed
to the development of these countries. More
specifically MSF participated in the design and
construction, applying its solid and vast experience
that involved highly qualified human resources and
thus being able to fulfil the current demand of the
African market.
The international expansion to Central and Eastern
Europe began in Poland 1999. After the study of the
Polish market, MSF Polska was created in 2001, and
ever since performed as a service provider in the
technical studies and budgeting for tenders.
In 2013, MSF restructured its organization by
creating various Market Regions with the objective
of further international expansion: West Africa,
Southern Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia, and
Middle East.

vindo a ser consolidada desde 2006. Tendo-se iniciado
com a Construção da Fábrica de Cimento nº 1 em
Sequele, no Cacuaco, para o Gabinete de Reconstrução
Nacional RN da República de Angola, a actividade da MSF
estendeu-se às empreitadas do Pólo Industrial de Viana
(PIV), com a construção das Infra-estruturas e Núcleo
Central, bem como das Unidades Fabris do PIV, para o
GRN – GEITP.
Já depois da constituição, em 2008, de uma empresa
de direito angolano, a MSF Engenharia Angola, Lda.,
destacam-se as Empreitadas de construção da Fábrica
de Electrodomésticos Inovia, a concepção e construção
do Empreendimento Habitacional no Soyo, para a Angola
LNG, a construção, reabilitação e manutenção de vias
secundárias e terciárias da Província de Luanda, a
conclusão da construção dos 5 edifícios sede da Zona
Económica Especial Luanda – Bengo e a construção da
2ª fase do Complexo Bromangol.
MSF’s presence in this Portuguese speaking African
country has been consolidating since 2006. It began
with the construction of Nº1 Cement Factory in Sequele,
Cacuaco for the GRN - National Reconstruction Cabinet
and expanded to include the Industrial area of Viana,
with the construction of the Infrastructure and Central
Nucleus Buildings, as well as the Manufacturing Units, for
the GRN – GEITP of the Republic of Angola.
After having established an Angolan Company, MSF
Engenharia Angola, Lda., it is worth mentioning the
construction of Inovia electrical appliances factory; the
Soyo permanent residential housing project for Angola
LNG; the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance
of the secondary and tertiary roads of Luanda; the
construction of the 5 head office buildings of the Special
Economic Zone of Luanda – Bengo, and the construction
of the 2nd phase of the Bromangol Complex.

ROADWAY ACCESSES TO THE NEW OUAGADOUGOU – DONSIN AIRPORT
A actividade da MSF no Burkina Faso teve início em 2013
com a adjudicação, pelo Governo do Burkina Faso - Le
Ministère des infrastructures et du Désenclavement, da
empreitada “Trabalhos de reabilitação do troço de via
comunitária nº CU9 que passa pelas povoações Koupéla
-Tenkodogo - Bittou - Cinkansé até à fonteira do Togo,
bem como a reabiliatação da estrada de Mongadé – Lot
2”, no valor de 14,7 milhões de euros.
Mais recentemente destaca-se o contrato para a
“Construção das vias de acesso ao novo aeroporto de
Ouagadougou – Donsin”, no valor de 37,3 milhões de
euros.
A presença da MSF no Burkina Faso foi reforçada com a
constituição de uma sucursal em Ouagadougou.

MSF’s activity at Burkina Faso started in 2013, when
the Government of Burkina Faso (Le Ministère des
infrastructures et du Désenclavement) awarded the
contract for “The project for the rehabilitation of roadway
no. CU9 connecting the cities of Koupéla -Tenkodogo Bittou – Cinkansé to the Togolese border as well as the
rehabilitation of the Mongadé road – Lot 2” with the value
of 14.7 million euros.
More recently, MSF was awarded the “Construction of the
roadway accesses to the proposed new Ouagadougou –
Donsin Airport”, for 37.3 million euros.
MSF’s presence in the country was reinforced with the
cration of a new Branch at Ouagadougou.

A MSF iniciou a sua actividade em Cabo Verde em 1997,
tendo constituído em 2002, com sede na cidade do Mindelo,
a empresa de direito cabo-verdiano MSF Cabo Verde SA,
cujo capital é detido a 100% pelo Grupo MSF.
Em 2001, a empresa iniciou importantes empreitadas, com
a execução do Parque Industrial do Lazareto, no Mindelo, e
com a construção da estrada de ligação do Novo Aeroporto
à cidade da Praia, com uma extensão de 4,5 Km.
A 23 de Julho de 2002, o Primeiro-ministro de Cabo Verde
inaugurou a obra de Reforço do Pavimento da Pista do
Aeródromo, na Ilha da Boa Vista, empreitada executada
pela MSF num prazo de seis meses. No mesmo dia, o
Primeiro Ministro presidiu também às cerimónias de início
dos trabalhos de Reforço de Pavimentação da Ruas da
Cidade do Mindelo, na Ilha de S. Vicente e da Nova estrada
Espargos - Santa Maria, na Ilha do Sal, empreitadas
adjudicadas à MSF.
São diversos e muito relevantes os projectos em que a
MSF tem participado, de forma contínua, nomeadamente
na construção e reconstrução de estradas, aeroportos e
infra-estruturas industriais do arquipélago.

MSF commenced activities in Cape Verde in 1997 and in 2002
it established a local division in the city of the Mindelo, known as
MSF Cabo Verde, the capital is 100 % held by the MSF Group.
In 2001, the company initiated important construction works,
including the development of the Industrial park of the
Lazareto, located in Mindelo, and the construction of the road
connecting the New Airport to the city of the Praia, with a
lenght of 4.5 km.
ESPARGOS /SANTA MARIA AND ESPARGOS/PALMEIRA ROADS REHABILITATION AND
SIGNPOSTING ON THE ESPARGOS/PEDRA DE LUME ROAD, SAL ISLAND
CONNECTING ROAD TO THE NEW PRAIA AIRPORT, SANTIAGO ISLAND
On July 23, 2002, the Prime Minister of Cape Verde
inaugurated the Road Surface Pavement Reinforcement
of the Airport on the Island of Boa Vista. The contract was
executed by MSF in six months. On the same day, the Prime
Minister also presided over the work start-up ceremony
for the Pavement Reinforcement Project for the Streets of
Mindelo, on the Island of S. Vicente and the New road between
Espargos - Santa Maria, on the Sal Island, all projects that
were awarded to MSF.
The projects in which MSF has continously participated
are diverse and of importance. These particularly include
the construction and reconstruction of roads, airports and
industrial infrastructures on the archipelago.

A actividade da MSF no Gana teve início em 2006 com
uma obra de vulto, para o Governo da República do
Gana: a Execução e Reabilitação da Estrada Kumasi /
Techiman, com uma extensão total de 75 km, entre as
localidades de Ofinso e Techiman, na Região Ashanti.
Seguiu-se a obra de requalificação da EN1 – Lote 2,
entre Apenkwa e Mallam (Lote 2), com 8 km em 2x3
vias e 2 km de viadutos; a reabilitação de 59,9 km
da Estrada Nacional 8 entre Assim Praso e Bekwai e
construção da ponte sobre o rio Pra; a execução de
estacas de fundação para o empreendimento turístico
La Beach Towers; e a obra de fabrico e fornecimento
de betão e armaduras para estacas, para o projeto
de desenvolvimento das infraestruturas do Gana Gaz.
Mais recentemente, a MSF iniciou a construção
do “The Exchange – Accra” um complexo com 100
apartamentos, um hotel de 4 estrelas com 200
quartos e zona comercial.
Foi-lhe também adjudicada a concepção e construção
de terminal de contentores e edifícios de apoio no
Porto de Tema.
MSF commenced its activities in Ghana in 2006
with an important project for the Government of the
Republic of Ghana: the construction and rehabilitation
of the Road from Kumasi to Techiman between
the towns of Ofinso and Techiman, 75 km of total
extension, in the Ashanti Region.
The MSF presence in the country has continued with
the Upgrading of N1 Highway between Apenkwa
Interchange and Mallam Road Junction (Lot 2), an
8 km long, 2x3 cross-section highway stretch that
encompasses 2 km of viaducts; the rehabilitation
of 59.9 km of the National Trunk Road N8, between
Assim Praso and Bekwai, plus the construction of a
new bridge over the Pra river; the foundation piles
for the La Beach Towers tourist resort; as well as the
Ghana Early Phase Gas Infrastructure Development
Project - Fabrication and supply of concrete and steel
reinforcement for foundation pile construction.
Recently, MSF started the construction of “The
Exchange – Accra”, a mixed-use development
comprising retail area, a 200 rooms 4-star hotel and
100 apartments.
It has also been awarded the design and construction
of a container handling and devanning terminal at the
Port of Tema.

A MSF iniciou em 2006 a sua actividade na República da Guiné Equatorial, através
da construção da Estrada de ligação entre as localidades de Evinayong, Acurenam
e Medunu, na Província do Centro Sul, Região Continental. A obra, executada para o
Governo de República da Guiné Equatorial, tem uma extensão de aproximadamente
85 km, com perfil transversal simples e uma via em cada sentido.

of the road connecting the towns of Evinayong, Acurenam and Medunu, in the South
Central Province, Continental Region. The contract, conducted on behalf of the
Government of Republic of Equatorial Guinea, included road works with an extension of
approximately 85 km, with simple cross-sectional profile and a lane in each direction.

The rehabilitation works of R14 Balti Sarateni road represents the beginning of
MSF operations in Moldova, an Eastern Europe country.
The works include regulating layer, providing a third lane of carriageway and
rehabilitation of 11 bridges, as well as drainages on a road with 30 km extension,
for a total amount of 36.4 million euros.

A presença da MSF na Namíbia remonta a 2004, ano em que teve a seu
cargo o início da Ampliação do Aeroporto de Walvis Bay. A obra incluiu o
aumento de extensão (de 2434 m para 3440 m) e alargamento da pista (de
30 m para 60 m), bem como a construção da nova estrada de acesso, com
uma extensão de 2,1 km.
MSF presence in Namibia dates from 2004, when it began the expansion of
the Walvis Bay Airport. The contract included the lengthening (from 2434 m to
3440 m) and the widening of the runway (from 30 m to 60 m), as well as the
construction of the new access road, with a lengh of 2.1 km.

A MSF expandiu a sua actividade para o Qatar, com a
criação, no início de 2012, da empresa Al-Mustafawi,
Leptis, Fortunato Construction, LCC (MSF Construction
Qatar), uma sociedade entre a MSF Engenharia, a
família Al-Mustafawi, local, e a Leptis, com origem
maltesa. Esta participada da MSF Engenharia, sedeada
na capital do país, Doha, marca a entrada nos mercados
do Médio-Oriente.
Em 2013, a Public Works Authority – Ashghal
adjudicou a um consórcio, participado a 50% pela
MSF, a construção de estradas e infraestruturas na
zona industrial de Doha, no valor aproximado de 280
milhões de euros. A obra tem como principal objectivo
a reabilitação e melhoria das estradas e infraestruturas
existentes, contribuindo decisivamente para a
modernização da Zona Industrial.
Seguiu-se a obra de construção de infraestruturas e
edifícios de apoio da Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Base
(QENFB), cuja área em planta totaliza cerca de 9.102
m2, no valor de 322 milhões de euros.

Em 2015, foi adjudicado o contrato de Concepção e
construção de uma rede de micro-túneis, de 24 km,
em Doha, no valor de 233 milhões de euros.
MSF expanded its activities at the beginning of 2012
into Qatar, through the creation of Al-Mustafawi, Leptis,
Fortunato Construction LLC (MSF Construction Qatar)
- a partnership between MSF Engenharia, the AlMustafawi family based locally, and the Leptis company,
originally from Malta. This MSF Engenharia subsidiary,
based in the capital city of Doha, marks its entry into the
Middle-Eastern market.
In 2013, the Public Works Authority – Ashghal awarded
a contract to the consortium in which MSF holds a stake
of 50% for the construction of roads and infrastructures
in the Doha industrial area, of an approximate value of
280 million euros. The main objective of the works is
the rehabilitation and upgrading of the existing roads
and infrastructures, contributing decisively to the
modernisation of the Industrial Area.
It was followed by the contract for Qatar Emiri Naval
Forces Base (QENFB) infrastructure and utility
buildings, consisting of total plan area rounding 9102
m2, with a total contract value of 322 million euros.

Mabang bridge (121 m span over river Ribi). To be finished in 24 months, the
contract amounts to the value of 32,5 million euros.

MSF Group is developing the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort in Portugal’s western region.
