Construction of the eighteenth century, with architectural
lines that recall the old rural solar miners. It belonged to
the Ottoni's family, influential political leaders during the
Empire. The founder of the family in Serro was the official

I n 1938, Serro was declared a National Heritage for its architectural
and urban ensemble which maintains the characteristics of Arraiais
miners eighteenth century. The story of three hundred y ears of
existence, kept in its museum and libraries, makes the remarkable
culture and the beauty of its religious festivals evokes the faith of a
people that needs to be shown. Along with 12 other cities in the
region, the Serro is part of the Circuito dos Diamantes. And it is
inserted into the Programa Estrada Real, which seeks to tourism
development, aimed at the sustainable use of the historic potential,
cultural and natural municipalities .
