SHARE LENT CAMPAIGN
Next Sunday is “Solidarity Sunday” – the day
when Canadian Catholics stand beside the poor
in the Global South. This is the day when we
share what God has given to us with those who
desperately need the basics of life – food,
water, shelter. Development and Peace has
demonstrated incredible success in the fight
against poverty and injustice over the last 45
years. Getting ideas for development from the
poor themselves, supporting them with
education, loans, seeds, livestock, etc. has
proven a recipe for success. The poor do not
want a ‘hand-out’. They just need a ‘hand-up’.
We can do it. Let’s make it happen. Please give
generously.
