Odpusťte přátelé trochu té nostalgie, kterou přináší kmetský věk a která je příčinou tohoto
netradičního pojetí úvodu tradičního pozvání do Strážnice na Mezinárodní folklorní festival, jenž
se tu odehraje už ve dvanáctém roce třetího tisíciletí. Bude to opět jedinečný folklorní festival
s rozsáhlým a pestrým programem, v němž se zrcadlí všechny formy pěstování scénické
i tradiční prezentace lidových zvyků, obřadů, písní a tanců. Bude to opět programový maratón,
který Vy všichni, kdo tu nebudete poprvé, „nakonec“ jako obvykle zvládnete, a většinu z Vás,
kteří sem zavítáte poprvé, určitě natolik zaujme, že se sem budete vracet – oblažit duši a potěšit
srdce, což strážnický festival umí a což se v hojné míře děje.
Většina z Vás věrných už ví, co z programu musí vidět a u čeho musí být. Po letitých
zkušenostech nedáváme rady a doporučení, protože opravdu i ve Strážnici platí: Proti gustu,
žádný dišputát. Jen jedno ujištění – zas toho bude k uspokojení vašeho gusta víc než dost.

Můj ty světe, jak ten čas letí… Kdepak je těch víc jak padesát let, které
utekly od chvíle, kdy jsem poprvé prožil tu zázračnou noc, která nikde jinde
na světě než jednou za rok ve Strážnici trvá čtyřiadvacet hodin – jak to
s oblibou připomínal první ředitel Strážnických slavností, legendární primáš
30. ročník folklorního festivalu Dětská Strážnice
Role tohoto zcela jedinečného festivalu je pro uchování hodnot tradiční lidové kultury u nás
klíčová a je víc než zřejmé, že nadešel čas tuto roli vědecky i společensky znovu zhodnotit.
To hodnocení pak určitě vyzvedne význam osobností, které přispěly k tomu, že právě
ve Strážnici převládly programy, v nichž už neúčinkují panáčci navlečení v miniaturách krojů
pro dospělé a napodobující jejich tance, ale děti, které si hrají a dokážou přirozeně vyjádřit, jak to
v tradičním dětském světě skutečně šlo v čase od hraní si „na svaďbu“ až k té svatbě opravdové,
co kdysi trvávala týden…
Až budete letos dětské programy sledovat, nezapomeňme si také uvědomit, jaké bohatství
máme ve všech těch, co s dětmi pracují, co umí nejen vymyslet a vytvořit kvalitní program, ale
co dokážou zvládnout na zkoušce svěřený „pytel blech“ do té míry, že se programové číslo
nacvičí a na jevišti půvabně zaskví, těch, co umí získat ke spolupráci rodiče i dotace k zhotovení
krojů a rekvizit, co i v čase počítačového a internetového blouznění obejdou s koledami
o Vánocích rodiny příznivců a přátel a na jaře vynesou Morenu a přinesou na sídliště opentlené
létečko, aby zvěstovali, že už zase bude slunéčko hřát a tráva se zelenat… Díky těmto tvůrcům
– renomovaným i dosud téměř neznámým – žije a je rozvíjen odkaz Františka Bartoše, který
před více než sto lety vložil do své inspirativní sbírky Naše děti a který v následujících desetiletích
obohacovali jeho následovatelé.
Vážení a milí, přijeďte i letos do Strážnice. Přijďte si prožít potěšení z toho, co uvidíte
na podiích, i z písní, které si v zámeckém parku při hře hudců a při pohárku dobrého vína
sami zazpíváte – ať si ten čas letí, jak chce. A nezapomeňte zajít v sobotu do skanzenu,
kde v Dětském dvoře téměř nepoznáte, kdo si tu s větší chutí hraje – jestli ti „maloši“, jimž je
pořad určen, nebo jejich dospělý doprovod.

Sixty-Seventh Year Already…
Bereits zum siebenundsechzigsten Mal jährt sich…
My goodness, how the time flies… Where are all those more than fifty
years which have passed since I first experienced the miraculous night,
the night which, nowhere else but only once a year in Strážnice, lasts
twenty-four hours – as the legendary bandmaster Vítězslav Volavý, the
first director of Strážnice Festival, liked to say.
Forgive me, my friends, a bit of the whitebeard nostalgy with which I nontraditionally start the
traditional invitation to Strážnice for the International Folklore Festival which will be held already
the twelfth year in the third millenium. It will again be a unique folklore festival with an extensive
and varied programme reflecting all forms of both stage and traditional presentation of folk
customs, ceremonies, songs and dances. Again it will be a programme marathon which all
of you, who are not first timers here, will make eventually, and most of you, who are coming
for the first time will sure get engrossed and start coming back regularly to gratify your soul
and delight your heart, which can and often does happen at Strážnice Festival.
Most of you, the loyal ones already know which performances you wish to see and where you
must not miss to be. After years of experience we do not give any advice or recommendations
because the saying „No dispute about taste“ is very true in Strážnice. Let me only assure you
that again there will be more than enough to satisfy your taste.
Wie die Zeit vergeht... Vor mehr als fünfzig Jahren erlebte ich zum ersten
Mal die wundervolle Nacht, die nur ein einziges Mal im Jahr in Strážnice –
und sonst nirgendwo auf der Welt – vierundzwanzig Stunden lang dauert,
wie der legendäre Primas und erster Direktor der Strážnicer Feste Vítězslav
Volavý mit Vorliebe zu sagen pflegte. Wo sind nur die Jahre geblieben...
Liebe Freunde, verzeihen Sie mir diesen Hauch von Nostalgie, die das Greisenalter mit sich
bringt und die sich hinter dieser untraditionellen Auffassung meiner traditionellen Einladung zum
Internationalen Folklorefestival nach Strážnice verbirgt. Das Strážnicer Festival findet
im dritten Jahrtausend bereits zum zwölften Mal statt. Es wird wieder ein einzigartiges
Folklorefestival sein, mit einem umfangreichen und bunten Programm, in dem alle Formen
der szenischen wie auch der traditionellen Präsentation von Volksbräuchen, Riten, Liedern
und Tänzen ihren Platz finden. Das Programm wird wieder zu einem Marathonlauf, den alle
Besucher, die nicht zum ersten Mal hierher kommen, „am Ende“ wie immer irgendwie bewältigen
werden. Und die meisten unter den erstmaligen Besuchern werden von diesem Folklorefest
bestimmt dermaßen beeindruckt sein, dass sie von nun an immer wieder zurückkommen
werden, um Herz und Seele zu beglücken. Denn das kann das Strážnicer Festival und das
erlebt man immer wieder.
Die meisten der treuen Festivalbesucher wissen bereits, was man unbedingt sehen muss
und was man sich keineswegs entgehen lassen darf. Nach jahrelanger Erfahrung erteilen wir
keine Ratschläge und keine Empfehlungen, denn in Strážnice gilt dasselbe wie auch sonst
überall: Über Geschmack lässt sich nicht streiten. Eines können wir jedoch versprechen – jeder
wird zufrieden sein, jeder wird auf seine Kosten kommen.
Eines darf in dem umfangreichen und bunten Strážnicer Programm jedoch auf keinen Fall
untergehen. Im Rahmen des diesjährigen 67. Internationalen Folklorefestivals ereignet sich
nämlich das.
However there is one thing after all which cannot be forgotten in this rich programme geyser.
As a part of this year 67th International Folklore Festival Strážnice the 30th year of folklore
festival Children’s Strážnice will be held. This unique festival plays the key role in preserving
of values of our traditional folk culture and it is more than obvious that the time has come to
revaluate this role both from scientific and social point of view. The valuation then certainly
will emphasize the significance of personalities who made sure that most of programmes
in Strážnice are not any more performed by puppets dressed in miniatures of adult costumes
and copying adult dances. However the performers are playing children who can naturally
express how things in traditional children’s world were happening in course of time from „playing
a wedding“ to a real wedding which used to take a whole week ...
While watching children’s programmes it is time to realise how fortunate we are to have all
those who work with children, those who are able not only create quality programmes but also
handle their „bags of fleas“ to rehearse performances which excel on the stage, those who are
able to engage parents and get grants for manufacture of costumes and props, those who, even
in the era of computer and internet ravings, at Christmas walk around caroling, visiting friend’s
and sympathisers’s families, and in spring carry off Morena and bring „létečko“ (a branch of
spruce decorated with ribbons) to the neighbourhood to announce that the sun is going to shine
and the grass is going to get green again ... Thanks to these both reputable and hardly known
creators, the legacy of František Bartoš, kept in his over a hundred years old inspiring collection
called Our Children, keeps living and being developed.
Dear friends, come over to Strážnice this year again. Come and enjoy what you can see on
the stages, enjoy the songs which you can sing, a glass of good wine in hand, next to fiddlers in
the palace park – let time pass as it likes. And do not forget to drop in the open air museum on
Saturday. You will hardly recognise who enjoys the playing more – whether the little ones, for
whom the programme has been made, or the accompanying adults.

30. Kinderfolklorefestival „Strážnice für Kinder“.
Dieses einzigartige Festival spielt bei der Erhaltung der traditionellen Werte unserer
Volkskultur eine Schlüsselrolle. Somit ist es an der Zeit, diese Rolle in ihren wissenschaftlichen
wie auch gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhängen neu zu bewerten. Dabei wird man die Bedeutung
von jenen Persönlichkeiten ganz gewiss hervorheben, die großen Verdienst daran hatten, dass
gerade in Strážnice Darbietungen mit echter Kinderfolklore überwiegen. Hier treten Kinder auf,
die miteinander spielen und auf natürliche Weise zeigen, wie es in der traditionellen Kinderwelt
wirklich zuging – angefangen mit dem Spiel „Hochzeit spielen“ bis zur Teilnahme der
Als Zuschauer der diesjährigen Kinderdarbietungen sollten Sie auch daran denken, was
für ein Glück es ist, dass es all die Menschen gibt, die mit den Kindern arbeiten, die sich
ein Programm von hoher Qualität ausdenken und auf die Beine stellen, die auch bei den
Proben einen „Sack voll Flöhe“ so weit bändigen, dass die Programmnummer eingeübt und
auf der Bühne zauberhaft präsentiert wird, die Eltern zu einer Zusammenarbeit bewegen und
Zuschüsse für Trachten und Requisiten beschaffen können, die zu Zeiten der Computer- und
Internet-Schwärmerei zu Weihnachten für Familien ihrer Anhänger und Freunde Umzüge
mit Weihnachtsliedern organisieren, die im Frühjahr den Tod austragen und ein mit Bändern
geschmücktes Maibäumchen in die Siedlung bringen, um zu verkünden, dass die Sonne bald
wieder scheinen und das Gras wieder grünen wird... Dank diesen teils renommierten, teils
bisher noch fast unbekannten Gestaltern ist und bleibt das Vermächtnis von František Bartoš
lebendig, das dieser vor mehr als einhundert Jahren in seinem inspirativen Sammelwerk Naše
děti (Unsere Kinder) veröffentlicht hatte und das in den folgenden Jahrzehnten von seinen
Nachfolgern immer wieder ergänzt wurde.
Liebe Freunde, kommen Sie auch in diesem Jahr nach Strážnice. Erfreuen Sie sich an den
Bühnendarbietungen sowie an den Liedern, die Sie im Schlosspark bei einem guten Glas Wein
und unter Begleitung von Spielmannskapellen mitsingen können – soll die Zeit rasen, wie sie
will. Und vergessen Sie nicht, am Samstag im Freilichtmuseum vorbei zu schauen. Im Kinderhof
werden Sie kaum erkennen können, wer hier mit größerer Freude mitspielt – ob die Knirpse, für
die Aufführungen bestimmt sind, oder die sie begleitenden Erwachsenen.

On 22nd – 24th June the „Folklorica“ – books – audio – video, an exhibition and sale of items with folklore themes, will be held in the Chateau amphitheatre.
Am Sonntag um 9.00 Uhr – feierlicher Gottesdienst in der Kirche Mariä Himmelfahrt unter der Teilnahme von in- und ausländischen Ensembles.
