Patched Fleece Scarf
Supplies:
1/4 yard each fuchsia, light pink & charcoal
fleece
1 yard white fleece
Contrasting thread
Tools:
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat
Ruler
Scissors
Directions:
Using rotary cutter, mat and ruler measure and cut one strip in each color 3- 1/2" x 14". Measure
and cut eight 3- 1/2" squares from each strip.
Each end of the scarf has 4 squares of each color and each square is sewn with a 1/4" seam
allowance. Lay out squares in a pattern of your choice. Sew each of the squares together. If
desired, use a decorative machine stitch on top to join squares together.
From white fleece cut two 12- 1/2" x 8- 1/2" squares. Sew each square on one end of pieced
fabric.
Cut a single 12- 1/2" x 36" piece of white fleece. Sew the end pieces on each end of the scarf.
With straight edge and rotary cutter, cut 1/2" wide fringe . Do not cut all the way to the attached
edge. If desired, run a decorative stitch at the top of the fringe where the pieced portion is joined
with the fringed portion.
If desired, add a decorative machine stitch around the outside edges of the scarf.
