Please read these instructions carefully before installing and operating the product, in order to prevent damages,
caused by improper installation and handling.

1. IMPORTANT INDICATIONS
Please read the all the instructions and information before installation, to prevent misoperation and operating errors.
1.1. Plumber/Heating Installer
The installer must dimension the layout of the plant in such a way that a flawless operation is guaranteed (e.g.
connection according to installation guidelines).
The specifications of the boiler manufacturer must absolutely be observed (e.g. maximum distance from GEOtop 1
to pellet boiler, maximum height difference, electrical connections, settings, etc.) Apart from that the specifications
of the pellet boiler manufacturer (planning documentation of the pellet boiler/pellet storage room) must be followed.
Please contact the particular manufacturer of the relevant component, to determine the applicability.
1.2. Plant operator
Maintenance work according to maintenance guidelines might be necessary.
1.3. Delivery scope geoplast
GEOtop 1:
• without internals (according to design)
Boiler Manufacturer:
• pellet boiler with feeding unit
• control system
1.4. mounting
The correspondent mounting instructions are attached to the product or can be required beforehand.
1.5. interface
The GEOtop 1 consists of a plastic container for pellet storage. The extraction and conveying technics are the
responsibility of the plant operator.

1.6. Limitation of warranty
Warranty is only guaranteed for the pre-defined interface. Extended Warranty is not possible.
Functioning warranty can not be given for single parts and construction kits.
1.7. Access geotop
Before entering the GEOtop 1 it must be ensured, that a sufficient ventilation between the GEOtop inside space an
the ambient air is given (open screw cap about 30 minutes before entering the GEOtop 1).

2. General
Due to the growing pellet market and the requirement for space utilization there is a strong demand for sophisticated
storage systems.
GEOplast as a strategic partner in bunker construction offers an overall concept for the storage of wooden pellets
with focus on:
• economic storage containers, which can be emptied almost completely
• suitable and pellet-protecting extraction systems
• simple connection to all established pellet heating systems
General Notice:
This manual including all safety instructions has to be read and obeserved before installation. After reading this manual
keep it close at hand for easy reference.
2.1. safety intructions
• The GEOtop must only be used for storage of wooden pellets according to EN ISO 17225-2. Use with other media
or liquids is prohibited.
• Any alterations or changes are prohibited. Warranty will also terminate!
• Fire regulations must be observed!
• Electrical connections and maintenance work must only be performed by authorized and state-licensed
professionals.
• For all works on the storage or extraction system, electricity must be switched off (power off heating system,
seperate system from power supply…).
2.2. Fuel
Only pellets with the following quality must be used as fuel:
According to EN ISO 17225-2. The specifications of the fuels must be followed, as the extraction system is
designed for these particular fuels.
The loading capacity of the underground must be sufficiently dimensioned, as heavy loads take effect on the
supporting points when the GEOtop is completely filled.
Therefore assembly of the GEOtop is only permitted on a sufficiently dimensioned concrete base plate. To prevent
the GEOtop from tipping over in stormy weather, it should be protected from the wind.

3. BUILDING AREA – ATTACHMENT
4. INSTALLATION
The GEOtop is delivered as plastic container for pellet storage und is particularly suitable for floor standing suction
probes.
According to design a suction probe may be integrated by GEOplast – suction probe(s) can also be built in on site by
the plant operator.


Using a single suction probe a centered position is recommended – see figure!
Installation of various suction probes on request!
Mounting guidelines of any additional packages are included in the particular package.


CASCADE CONNECTION:

To achieve maximum storage capacity, several GEOtops can be combined via cascade connection. Feed of the pellet
boiler takes places by a switching unit.

5. HOSE INSTALLATION – IMPORTANT NOTICE

• The maximum length into one direction towards the pellet boiler may not exceed the length or height specified by
the installer!
• The pellet boiler manufacturer’s planning documentation must be observed.
• The minimum bending radius of the hoses is 50cm.
• To prevent problems during pellets delivery, the hoses must be installed as straight as possible and not in loops
(„up and down“).
• Delivery and return air hose must always be in one piece and must not be dismembered!
• To prevent electrostatic charging during the pellets transport, the delivery hoses must be earthed. Uncover
earthing cords at the end of the hoses about 5cm and bend inside the hose.
• Slip hose clamps accross the delivery hose and plug the hose on the access.
• The earthing wire must be sufficiently connected with the extraction system. Afterwards tighten up the hose
clamps.
• Regarding any deviations or unclarities consultation with GEOplast is necessary
• The pellet hoses are configured for a temperature range fo -15° up to +60° Celsius and must therefore not touch
unisulated heating tubes,…!
• Outodoors the pellet hoses must only be installed together with a cable conduit , to prevent them from getting
brittle.

6. FILLING geotop 1
MANUAL FILLING
To achieve an optimum filling level, the pellets should be evenly spread inside during the filling process (stop filling
processs – spread pellets – continue filling process).
Fix screw cap after finishing the filling process.
Pellet boiler must be switched off about 3 hours before filling!

in pellets from a bag
