Zielsetzung des Seminars:
In this seminar, we aim to take a close look at the long-running US TV-show The
Simpsons and analyse in which ways it satirizes present-day US-American society
and its way of life. We will look at a number of aspects of everyday real life and politics in the USA, discover the drift of the satire, and describe developments in the
course of the 25 years the show has been running.
