It includes a varied bouquet of new format ideas, while popular established programmes have undergone significant development. “WHAT CONSTITUTES RTL TELEVISION” Germany – 17 August 2012 RTL Television Anke Schäferkordt 4 Daniel Hartwich presents Total Blackout – Stars im Dunkeln After a rather mixed summer in Germany so far and a thunderstorm the night before, the sun shone brightly at noon at Cologne-Deutz, where RTL Television presented its new programme line-up on 16 August. “The sun is shining, we’ll take that as a good sign for today’s event,” said Anke Schäferkordt, CEO of RTL Television, welcoming the journalists: “Although as commercial TV people, we’ll be quite happy if summer ends soon – with all these incredible sporting events. Of course TV usage has been dominated by the major sporting events, the European football championships and the Olympics.” The programming team has focused on developing new ideas in all genres over the past two years. “Our package of new launches is therefore bigger than it has been for a long time, especially in the fields of drama, entertainment shows, and reality.” Anke Schäferkordt clearly stated the goal for the new TV season: “We want to maintain our market leadership – and with a clear lead over the competition.” In order to achieve this goal she said RTL Television will set new accents as well as develop its existing formats. Enhancing the channel’s innovation leadership is also important, she said. “That is why we are developing new ideas in all areas, especially for prime time.” Diana Amft in Die neuen Abenteuer der alten Christine “If you produce successful programming, it is not surprising if others eventually copy you,” said Schäferkordt. “This naturally leads to a dwindling of our audience share to a lower level.” She gave the example of the afternoon programme line-up with various scripted documentary and docu-soap formats and the talent shows, which continue to score excellent ratings, but are no longer at the exceptional level seen in previous years. Humour and action dominate RTL Television’s in-house fiction productions in the upcoming season: the channel continues its strategy of event-scale drama movies with star-studded 5 productions like Die Jagd nach dem Bernsteinzimmer (The Hunt For The Amber Room). Meanwhile, in a new season of the German Television Award-winning comedy series Der Lehrer (The Teacher) Stefan Vollmer battles educational problems and disinterest in the classroom in a nonchalant, cool and unconventional way. Following the successful pilot, IK 1 – Touristen in Gefahr (Tourists In Danger) enters serial transmission. Four exciting cases in Asia await the daring BKA (Federal Office of Criminal Investigation) officer and his colleague who are deployed whenever German citizens living abroad are embroiled in crime. In Der Mallorca Detektiv, Tom Hammer is an investigator who is committed to his job body and soul. When Tom’s friend is shot, the trail leads him into high-society circles on Majorca where he meets a mysterious woman who pulls all the strings on the island and is apparently involved in shady business. Transporter with Chris Vance RTL Television is exploring new paths with the action series Transporter, produced in collaboration with M6 in France and HBO and offering high-speed entertainment based on the famous movie series. Luc Besson, producer of the Transporter movies, was involved in the production as Executive Producer. The British actor Chris Vance (Prison Break) plays former elite soldier Frank Martin, who transports whatever is required of him as the Transporter. Next season’s series highlights include a new series starring Diana Amft who conquered viewers’ hearts in Doctor’s Diary. In Die neuen Abenteuer der alten Christine (The New Adventures Of The Old Christine), Amft plays Christine, a divorced woman in her mid-thirties with a child. When her ex one day reappears with a new girlfriend, who is also called Christine and is ten years younger, the “old” Christine wants to test her market value and embarks on a chaotic, very funny man hunt. RTL Television also introduces another new sitcom: Sekretärinnen – Überleben von neun bis fünf (Secretaries – Surviving The Nine To Five) about the endearingly chaotic Katja Neumann, who as new chief secretary in a toast factory not only has to cope with her choleric boss Berger, but also her bullying colleagues. The new programme line-up includes two new US series: the continuation of the iconic US series Dallas, which influenced an entire decade, and whose TV theme tune is still unmistakable today, will be shown on RTL Television. Alongside young actors like Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe (both well known from Desperate Housewives) and Jordana Brewster (Fast & Furious), who star in the remake of Dallas, there is a reunion with villain JR Ewing (Larry Hagman) and other stars from the original series in their world-renowned roles: Linda Gray as Sue Ellen, Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing, Steve Kanaly as well as JR’s half-brother Ray and Charlene Tilton as his niece Lucy. In the new format Total Blackout – Stars im Dunkeln (Stars In The Dark), celebrities have to complete challenging tasks in total darkness, much to the delight of the audience and the show’s presenter Daniel Hartwich. The show starts on 18 August. In September, season six of Das Supertalent (Got Talent) begins with the highest-profile celebrity jury of all time. In addition to personnel changes, with Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker alongside Dieter Bohlen on the jury, some changes have been made to the show’s concept as well: this season each juror will have the option to catapult a talent immediately into the live shows using the ‘golden star buzzer’ – regardless of the opinions of the other two judges. Deutschland sucht den Superstar (Idols) will celebrate its 10th anniversary in early 2013 with a major overhaul. And the audience will also notice some innovative changes when RTL Television asks celebrities to take to the floor again in Let’s Dance. 6 In his live stage show Ich weiß, was du denkst (I Know What You’re Thinking) the mind reader and body language expert Thorsten Havener takes viewers with him on a fascinating journey into the world of human thought, observation, perception and suggestion. In Born to Shine celebrities put themselves in the hands of a big “little” talent in order to train for an appearance on the great family show: whether it is tap dance, acrobatics or the violin – each of the child ‘coaches’ is especially gifted in a discipline which the star has no idea about. Award-winning German comedian Bülent Ceylan presents his latest live routine in a stadium before 42,000 people for the first time, and appears in six new episodes of his popular Bülent Ceylan Show, in which he comments on the events of the week in his own distinctive way and examines everyday German-Turkish cultural issues. Alexander Schubert and Judith Richter are on the team of the new comedy sketch show In jeder Beziehung. Everyone who lives in a relationship knows that a partnership consists not only of rosy-coloured heights, but also of rather dark depths. Martin Rütter presents a new edition of Martin Rütter – Die grosse Hundeshow (The Big Dog Show), and on Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus! (I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!) celebrities are back in the Australian jungle for a most amusing start to the year. The central themes of RTL Television’s new reality formats are people with moving stories, and exposing social ills. In Rach deckt auf – Was wird uns hier aufgetischt? celebrity chef Christian Rach investigates issues surrounding food, shopping and consumer protection. Ärztepfusch? Dr. Gardain klärt auf follows up cases in which doctors’ errors have condemned their patients to misery. The Secret Millionaire goes incognito into impoverished communities to find vulnerable people in difficult situations who he can then support; and in Die Zuschauer (The Viewers) a group of 50 people rather than an individual expert look at people seeking help in order to jointly help them with their own experience and life-changing advice. After last year’s success of Der Bachelor, another ‘dream man’ searches for his great love against the picturesque backdrop of South Africa. In Der VIP Bus – Promis auf Pauschalreise, celebrity couples are put to the test on a bus package tour. In Star Race, six celebrities engage in a top-class race and experience the adventure of a lifetime. Abandoned in the Philippines with no money, no celebrity kudos and no interpreter, they have to battle their way through the capital Manila in three teams. The documentary Vermisst (Missing), which researches cases worldwide and brings about extraordinary reunions, returns with Sandra Eckardt as its new presenter, In the emotioncharged documentary Entführt – Gib mir mein Kind zurück! (Kidnapped – Give Me Back My Child!), private investigator Norbert Idel and his team work closely with national and international authorities as they search for children abducted by one of their parents. After the success of the first season Christopher Posch – Ich kämpfe für Ihr Recht (I Fight For Your Rights) is back in a new time slot. A new series of Germany’s most popular docu-soap, Bauer sucht Frau (The Farmer Wants a Wife) with Inka Bause, starts in October. In Das Jenke-Experiment, Jenke von Wilmsdorff slips into unusual roles to illustrate socially relevant themes such as the generation gap or the reality of addiction. The new jury of Das Supertalent: Thomas Gottschalk, Michelle Hunziker and Dieter Bohlen RTL Television is broadcasting one of the most extraordinary films of recent years as a free-to-air TV premiere – the sci-fi thriller Inception starring Leonardo Di Caprio, which won four Oscars: a masterfully complex, visionary masterpiece exploring time and space, dream and reality. Another film highlight of the upcoming RTL season is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, the first part of the finale of the movie adaptation of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter, which grossed more than $955 million and was nominated for two Oscars. The action-packed, explosive movie remake of the successful 1980s series The A-Team successfully transfers the funny stunts, clever tricks and cool lines of the original series to the present day. Anke Schäferkordt presented the channel’s information programming in a separate trailer, and stressed the importance of news and information programmes for RTL Television. In addition to daily and weekly news and magazine programmes, RTL Television will also be reporting extensively on the US elections. Peter 7 Dallas Anke Schäferkordt and Oliver Schablitzki, Head of RTL Nitro Kloeppel will present Armes Deutschland, reiches Deutschland – Peter Kloeppel unterwegs in einer sozial gespaltenen Republik (Poor Germany, Rich Germany – Peter Kloeppel on the road in a socially divided republic). On 30 March this year Kloeppel celebrated his 20th anniversary as anchorman on RTL Aktuell. In May the magazine programme Explosiv and then in June the midday news programme Punkt 12 will be 20 years old and in September the early-morning magazine programme Punkt 6 is 15 years old. Anke Schäferkordt: “This not only shows the importance of information in our programme line-up, but above all that we rely on continuity here.” In times of increasing fragmentation and digitisation, however, Schäferkordt said the record audience shares of the past two years maintained were exceptional years, during which RTL Television, as a major channel, grew counter to the trend: “We have observed that the ten major channels – including the public-service channels, which aired the European football championships and the Olympics – lost audience shares in the first seven months of 2012. At RTL Television we are exactly at the level of 2009. Every German on has access to an average 80 channels – here high double-digit market shares for several channels will no longer be possible long-term.” She said one example of a measure to counter this trend is the expansion of the family of channels with the launch of RTL Nitro in April 2012, which is aimed primarily at a male audience in the 20 to 59 age group. Schäferkordt: “Here we simply followed an old rule: if the market is increasingly fragmented, fragment yourself.” With Formula 1 and boxing RTL Television has established two strong sports in its portfolio as strong features of its programming. “Viewers immediately associate these two sports with RTL,” Schäferkordt was happy to note. In the current 2012 season, Formula 1 attracted audiences of up to seven million, with market shares often going well above 40 per cent. After the TV contract with Formula One World Championship Limited (FOWC) was extended through 2015 in 2011, this year the cooperation with long-running TV expert Niki Lauda was also extended for the full term of the TV contract. Boxing also regularly gives RTL Television record viewing figures. The partnership between the Klitschkos and RTL Television goes back to 2006. Since then, the team led by presenter Florian König, boxing expert Luan Krasniqi, commentator Tobias Drews and reporter Kai Ebel have presented 21 fights. On 8 September WBC world champion Vitali Klitschko appears in Moscow in a voluntary title defence against Manuel Charr. RTL Television will broadcast the fight live from Moscow. The IBO, IBF, WBO and WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko will probably step into the ring again in November or December 2012. A few months after launch, the new channel recorded an average market share of 0.5 per cent and is developing “much better than expected – thanks in part to extensive crosspromotion.” Oliver Schablitzki, Head of RTL Nitro, gave a presentation about the special-interest channel, including the four new series in its new programme line-up: Covert Affairs, Alcatraz, Breakout Kings and Raising Horizon. “Viewers giving RTL Nitro a try, which we are pleased about. Average viewing time is 25 minutes, which is high for a small channel, with remarkable peak market shares of 5 per cent,” said Schablitzki. “What helps us especially is that we broadcast strictly complementary programming in the daytime with classic series such as Knight Rider, which in ideal cases are three-generation programmes watched by grandfathers, fathers, and children.” 8 ‘EVERYTHING NEW, NEW, NEW!’ Super RTL Once upon a time Super RTL unveiled its programme line-up for the 2012/13 TV season. A special prime-time highlight is the German premiere of Once upon a time – Es war einmal... The channel also presented new apps and its consulting firm Famicus. Germany – 3 August 2012 ”Welcome to the living room”, said Claude Schmit, Managing Director of Super RTL, welcoming the journalists who had travelled to the Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland ‘living room of the future’ in Cologne. “We have been the undisputed market leader in the children’s sector for 15 years. This is a remarkable success in the TV landscape. Thanks to our partners RTL Group and Disney, we are also well prepared for the upcoming season.” Claude Schmit welcoming the participants Carsten Göttel Programme Director Carsten Göttel: “We’ve learned a lot from the past. For example what goes well with us and what doesn’t. Based on this, we are now launching into the new TV season and are doing everything new, new, new.” The flagship of the coming season is the US series Once Upon A Time, which is aired on the ABC network in the US. “In prime time, we are always looking for formats that both adults and children like to watch – and that is the case with Once Upon A Time,” said Göttel. “The series perfectly suits our positioning.” Once Upon A Time links classic fairy-tale motifs with modern-day issues and has reaped kudos from reviewers and audiences alike. The idea for the ABC Studios produced series came from the producers of the cult series Lost. Super RTL is airing the first season beginning on Wednesday 12 September at 20:15 as a free-to-air TV premiere. On Tuesday 4 September, the format simultaneously begins broadcasting on the digital special-interest channel Passion. Super RTL has planned a major marketing campaign for the launch of the series, including print, online, cinema, radio and billboard advertising, as well as a guerrilla marketing campaign. The children’s channel is adding the new self-commissioned production Woozle Goozle to its Toggo programme line-up. A science magazine with a twist, Woozle Goozle is presented by Beni Weber and his shaggy companion Woozle. Fans of classic cartoons will enjoy Wild Kratts and the latest adventures of Peter Parker in Ultimate Spider-Man. Super RTL is the home of two more free-to-air TV Next > 9 premieres with the sitcoms Jessie and Austin & Ally. In the Toggolino pre-school block, the youngest viewers can look forward to new series including the classic Bob der Baumeister (Bob the Builder), Timmy das Schäfchen (Timmy Time) and Die Oktonauten (The Octonauts). The British animated series Mike der Ritter (Mike the Knight) will join the ranks of audience favourites this autumn. Michael Rüger presented Super RTL’s digital app portfolio As well as highlights from the TV programme, Super RTL presented innovations in other business fields. In the mobile sector, the Toggolino app for preschool audiences is poised for launch, and numerous features are being added to the popular Toggo app, including a ‘second screen’ function that lets young users answer quiz questions on the content of a TV programme while it is being broadcast, for example. Based on a consulting project in Dubai, Super RTL has now launched a subsidiary: Famicus advises companies on their positioning in the German children’s and youth market, as well as the development of innovative products and marketing concepts. Claude Schmit ended the presentation by declaring the channel’s goal and direction: “First, we will remain the most popular channel for children. In the long run, we are aiming for an average 4 per cent share of the 14- to 49-year-old market. We’d like to achieve this in the next five years.” 10 GROUPE M6 REPORTS HALF-YEAR RESULTS 2012 Groupe M6 In the first half of 2012, Groupe M6’s consolidated revenue came to €710.8 million, down slightly by 1.2 per cent, while net profit rose to €94.4 million, an increase of 3.1 per cent. France – 26 July 2012 The main channel M6’s advertising revenues declined by 4 per cent in the half-year. Over the first six months of the year, the Group’s advertising revenues declined by 2.2 per cent, while non-advertising revenues were stable at €287.3 million (plus 0.2 per cent). On 30 June 2012, net financial income was €22.7 million (€1.5 million at 30 June 2011), including a €20.2 million capital gain on the sale of the Group’s equity investment in Summit Entertainment in January 2012. Thanks to this transaction, Groupe M6 reports its best half-year net profit of the last five years, up 3.1 per cent to €94.4 million. Nicolas de Tavernost Following the publication of Groupe M6’s financial results, Nicolas de Tavernost, Chairman of the Management Board of Groupe M6, gave an interview to Le Figaro. For Nicolas de Tavernost, this is the consequence of two things: “the poor performance of the advertising market in May and June, and the specific investments made for the European football championships. Euro 2012 is not an investment that will pay off immediately for M6, but we are aiming to be the co-leader in the television industry in France, especially in prime time.” Regarding the outlook for the French advertising market, he explains that the group remains “cautious about the summer and the start of the new season. The television advertising market has not improved in the last five years. It has actually dropped in real euro terms. This is a very important fact that must be taken into account by the public authorities and the regulator. The French media authority will have a great deal of responsibility when it examines the impact of the arrival of Canal Plus on the free-to-air television market.” In fact, de Tavernost believes that: “There is a glut of television offerings on the French market with respect to the industry’s economic capacity” and is worried about the purchase of Direct 8 and Direct Star by Canal Plus, as he already explained to daily Le Monde in June. Please see the press release by using the QR code above 11 GRUPO ANTENA 3 PUBLISHES RESULTS FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2012 Grupo Antena 3 As the Spanish TV advertising market continued to decline significantly, Grupo Antena 3’s revenue, operating profit and net result were down first half of 2012. Spain – 25 July 2012 In the first half of 2012, Grupo Antena 3 had to operate in a very difficult economic environment as the Spanish TV advertising market – the company’s main source of revenue – was estimated to be down 16 per cent year-on-year. As a result, Grupo Antena 3’s net revenue decreased by 8.6 per cent to €384.7 million (H1/2011: €420.9 million). First-half operating profit (EBITDA) declined by 56.3 per cent to €34.1 million (H1/2011: €77.9) million). The net profit of Grupo Antena 3 for the reporting period was €17.9 million, down from €54.0 million in the previous year. However, the Antena 3 family of TV channels continued to outperform the market and increased its advertising market share by 3.1 percentage points to 33.2 per cent – a total gain of 10 percentage points during the last 5 years. “This highlights the excellent performance of Grupo Antena 3 in comparison with the rest of the market in the adverse economic environment Spain is currently faced with,” the company said in a statement. The Antena 3 family of channels increased its total audience share by 1.3 percentage points to 17.8 per cent. 12 “GREAT OPPORTUNITIES AHEAD” FremantleMedia In a letter to all FremantleMedia employees, the company’s new CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz outlined the path to continue growing RTL Group’s content arm. United Kingdom – 13 July 2012 In her message, Cécile Frot-Coutaz started by thanking her predecessor Tony Cohen for the “outstanding job” he has done in leading the company through an extraordinary growth period, thus making FremantleMedia what it is today – “one of the most successful entertainment companies in the world.” Cécile Frot-Coutaz Welcoming Cécile Frot-Coutaz, Guillaume de Posch, Co-CEO of RTL Group, said: “Cécile has been with FremantleMedia for 17 years and has the vision and leadership that are needed to further grow our content business. She brings expertise and drive from the largest TV market in the world and combines her creative skills as a producer with a sharp business perspective. I am very happy to welcome her at the helm of RTL Group’s production arm.” Turning to her future role at FremantleMedia, Cécile Frot-Coutaz wrote in her message: “I am aware of the challenges that we face but I also believe that there are some great opportunities ahead of us. We are well placed to help shape the future.” The company will profit from focusing on the pipeline, across a broad range of genres, she said and continued: “We must create new brands and investing in global development will be a top priority.” At the same time, FremantleMedia needs to position itself for the transformation to digital, Cécile Frot-Coutaz pointed out. Referring to her work as Executive Producer for hit shows such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The X Factor and The Price Is Right, she underlined how important it is to keep successful shows relevant – and that she knows what effort this takes: “We must never leave our core behind as we pursue new avenues for growth. And the one thing I know is that whatever the medium, whatever the genre, the same principles apply: It is about creating great content that audiences want to interact with.” Next > 13 About RTL Group, Cécile Frot-Coutaz said: “The good news is that we have a very supportive shareholder who sees FremantleMedia as a growth platform and a company well poised to take advantage of the new opportunities that lie ahead.” She closed with saying: “FremantleMedia’s future success lies with our people. Let’s build on our culture and the values that bind us. I feel immensely proud to be part of the FremantleMedia family and that is why I was honoured to accept the role of CEO. I am excited about our future and I hope that you are too.” At FremantleMedia North America, Cécile Frot-Coutaz executive produced shows such as American Idol... Born and raised in France, Frot-Coutaz earned her MBA from the prestigious Insead business school in 1994. When Pearson purchased the assets of Grundy Television, Frot-Coutaz was named Corporate Strategy Executive for the newly created Pearson TV. She then spearheaded the subsequent acquisition and integration of All-American Fremantle into the Pearson Television Group. After a short stint in San Francisco creating online and interactive strategies for Pearson Television, Frot-Coutaz joined the North American headquarters of the newly rebranded FremantleMedia in Los Angeles, where she served as Executive Vice President, Commercial and Operations until her promotion to COO of Production in 2002, and CEO in 2005. In July 2012, she was appointed CEO of FremantleMedia. ...and The X Factor 14 FREMANTLEMEDIA AND RANDOM HOUSE FORM EXCLUSIVE TV PARTNERSHIP FremantleMedia FremantleMedia and Random House announced a major new creative and strategic partnership to develop scripted television programming for the US and international markets based on the fiction and nonfiction books published by Random House’s imprints in North America and internationally. As part of UFA’s reorganisation, the new management structure of its Fiction Production department has now been set. Germany – 1 August 2012 The new Teamworx UFA unit will comprise the activities of the UFA Fernsehproduktion, Teamworx and UFA Cinema labels, but the established labels will be preserved. Phoenix Film, in which UFA owns a majority stake, is not currently part of the unit. Nico Hofmann, Joachim Kosack and Jürgen Schuster will head the new unit. Kosack, who already worked for Grundy UFA as an Author, Director and Producer from 1996 to 2001 and oversaw film and series projects as a producer for Teamworx from 2001 to 2006, joins the unit from the channel Sat1, where he has served as CEO since October 2011. In his time with the ProSiebenSat1 group, Kosack was responsible for such successful programmes as Der letzte Bulle, Danni Lowinski, Die Wanderhure and Die Säulen der Erde. Kosack will take up his duties at UFA in October 2012. Nico Hofmann UFA CEO Wolf Bauer says: “I am convinced that by with this integrated structure and management, UFA’s Fiction production activities will be in good shape for the future. We are focusing on creating even closer ties between our creative producers, reducing redundant parallel structures, and strengthening our innovative abilities. We have an excellent creative management team in place with Nico Hofmann and Joachim Kosack.” Joachim Kosack After more than 30 years with UFA, Norbert Sauer will step down as Managing Director at the end of August. He has been with the company since 1979, when he started as a Producer. In 1991, he was appointed producer and Managing Director at UFA. During his term as Producer, he has overseen the production of over 300 cinematic and TV films and numerous series and miniseries, many of them award-winning productions. Says Bauer: “Norbert Sauer is an outstanding Producer in the German programming market and has played a formative role in establishing UFA Fernsehproduktion as a strong programme maker in Germany. I thank him very sincerely for his splendid achievements as a producer and entrepreneur.” Next > 17 Thomas Peter Friedl, who joined the company at the beginning of 2008, will also be leaving UFA at the end of the year, on the best of terms and at his own request. As Co-Managing Director of UFA Cinema, he was formative in building its cinematic production operations. During his time at UFA Cinema he oversaw the creation of films Teufelskicker (The Devil Kickers), Hanni und Nanni (The O’Sullivan Twins), Dschungelkind (Jungle Child) and Die Relativitätstheorie der Liebe (The Relativity of Love). Wolf Bauer: “Thomas Friedl has been an inspiring and creative entrepreneurial force in building our big-screen activities and putting our film projects into action. I can only thank him sincerely for our excellent collaboration.” Jürgen Schuster UFA’s cinematic production activities will continue to have their place in the new Fiction structure: the large-scale production Der Medicus (The Physician) with a top-notch international cast directed by Philipp Stölzl is currently being produced, as is part three in the screen adaptation of the bestselling children’s book series Hanni und Nanni (The O’Sullivan Twins). 18 A YOUTUBE CHANNEL FOR IDEA LOVERS Radical Media FremantleMedia’s Radical Media has launched its first Youtube channel: THNKR, featuring new series and programming available exclusively on the platform. North America – 3 August 2012 THNKR is a new original Youtube channel that gives viewers extraordinary access to the people, stories and ideas that are transforming the world. THNKR brings viewers the unfettered opinions of today’s top thinkers to stimulate, challenge and perhaps even – as the channel’s tag line says – ‘change your mind’. THNKR logo Visit YouTube channel THNKR on youtube.com/thnkr Screenshot of THNKR Youtube’s page “We live in a fragmented media landscape and it moves at breakneck speed,” says Jon Kamen, Chairman and CEO of Radical Media. “THNKR was borne out of a desire to expose people to ideas that would cut through the clutter.
