Wir gratulieren Ihnen zur Wahl eines MAXX Hörsystems. MAXX ist ein Schweizer
Qualitätsprodukt aus dem Hause Phonak.
Bitte lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch, damit Sie von allen
Möglichkeiten Ihres MAXX Hörsystems profitieren können. Richtig eingesetzt und
gepflegt, wird Ihr MAXX Hörsystem Ihr Gehör viele Jahre unterstützen.

Ersetzen der Batterie
1. Stellen Sie Ihr Hörsystem am Programmwahlschalter auf O (Aus-Position).
2. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach und entfernen Sie die alte Batterie.
3. Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie von der neuen Batterie (Typ 13).
4. Setzen Sie die neue Batterie so ein, dass das «+»-Zeichen auf der Batterie
(flache Seite) mit dem «+»-Zeichen im Batteriefach übereinstimmt.
5. Schließen Sie die Batterieschublade.
Wichtig: Behandeln Sie die Batterieschublade mit Gefühl – die Handhabung geht ohne
Kraftanwendung spielend leicht. Wenn Sie beim Schließen der Batterieschublade einen
Widerstand spüren, prüfen Sie bitte, ob die Batterie korrekt eingesetzt ist. Die Schublade lässt sich sonst nicht schließen.
Warnung vor Batterie-Ende: Ein Signalton (4 x 2 kurze Töne) macht Sie auf den notwendigen Batteriewechsel aufmerksam.

Bedienung
Programmwahlschalter E mit drei Stellungen (MAXX):
• O: Das Gerät ist ausgeschaltet.
• T: Die Telefon- bzw. Induktionsspule ist aktiv.
• M: Das Mikrofon ist eingeschaltet.

Position «O»: Das Gerät ist ausgeschaltet.
Position «•» (grüner Punkt): Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet.
Position «P»: Hier wählen Sie zwischen Mikrofon und Telefonspule. Jedes Antippen des
Druckschalters führt Sie automatisch zum nächsten Programm. Der Schalter bleibt
jeweils nicht auf der Position «P» stehen, sondern geht nach dem Auswählen Ihres
Programmes auf Position «•» (grüner Punkt) zurück.
Lautstärkesteller D
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Warten Sie zwei Sekunden, bis das Hörsystem aktiviert ist,
und stellen Sie dann die gewünschte Lautstärke ein.

Lauter stellen: Lautstärkesteller nach oben drehen (Signalton = lauteste Einstellung)
Leiser stellen: Lautstärkesteller nach unten drehen (Signalton = leiseste Einstellung)
Linkes und rechtes Hörsystem
Es ist wichtig, für jedes Ohr das richtige Hörsystem zu verwenden. Ihr HörgeräteAkustiker kann Ihr Hörsystem wie folgt markieren:
Blau = links
Rot = rechts
Sie finden die Farbmarkierung auf der Innenseite der Batterieschublade (dazu bitte
Batterieschublade öffnen und Batterie entfernen).
Kindersicherung
Um Kinder vor den Gefahren im Umgang mit Batterien zu schützen, kann Ihr MAXX
Hörsystem mit einer Kindersicherung ausgerüstet werden. Bitte erkundigen Sie sich bei
Ihrem Hörgeräte-Akustiker.

Warnungen
1. Hörgeräte-Batterien sind giftig! Bewahren Sie Batterien außer Reichweite von
Kindern und Haustieren auf. Wenn Batterien verschluckt werden, suchen Sie sofort
einen Arzt auf.
2. Benutzen Sie ausschließlich Hörgeräte, die vom Hörgeräte-Akustiker speziell für
Sie programmiert wurden. Andere Geräte können wirkungslos sein oder in bestimmten Fällen sogar Ihr Gehör schädigen.
3. Röntgenstrahlen können die Funktion Ihrer Hörgeräte beeinträchtigen. Bewahren
Sie die Hörgeräte außerhalb des Röntgen-Behandlungsraumes auf.
4. Hörgeräte mit Zoom (MAXX 211 D) reduzieren vor allem Hintergrundgeräusche.
Warnsignale, die von hinten kommen, sowie Schallsignale von hinten herannahender
Fahrzeuge werden somit teilweise oder ganz unterdrückt.
Wichtige Hinweise
1. Verwenden Sie immer neue Batterien.
2. Leere Batterien können Sie Ihrem Hörgeräte-Akustiker zurückgeben.
3. Wenn Sie Ihre Hörgeräte längere Zeit nicht brauchen, entfernen Sie bitte die
Batterien. Bewahren Sie Ihre Hörgeräte im schützenden Etui auf; lassen Sie

dabei das Batteriefach offen, damit eventuell vorhandene Feuchtigkeit entweichen kann.
4. Schützen Sie Ihre Geräte vor hoher Feuchtigkeit und Hitze! Entfernen Sie sie immer
vor dem Duschen, Baden oder Schwimmen. Lassen Sie sie nicht hinter
Fensterscheiben oder im Auto liegen. Vermeiden Sie starke Erschütterungen.
5. Wir empfehlen Ihnen die tägliche Reinigung und Trocknung Ihrer Hörgeräte. Ihr
Hörgeräte-Akustiker berät Sie gerne. Benutzen Sie nie Haushalts-Reinigungsmittel
(wie Waschpulver, Seife usw.) für die Reinigung.
6. Haarlack, Gesichtspflegemittel und Make-up können Ihre Hörgeräte beschädigen.
Entfernen Sie die Geräte, bevor Sie Kosmetika anwenden.
7. Bei Schmerzen oder Entzündungen im oder hinter dem Ohr wenden Sie sich bitte
an Ihren Hörgeräte-Akustiker.
Das Symbol mit dem durchgestrichenen Abfalleimer macht Sie darauf aufmerksam, dass dieses Hörgerät nicht als normaler Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden
darf. Bitte entsorgen Sie alte oder nicht mehr gebrauchte Hörgeräte an den für
die Entsorgung von Elektronikabfall vorgesehenen Sammelstellen oder geben Sie die
Hörgeräte Ihrem Hörgeräte-Akustiker zur Entsorgung. Eine fachgerechte Entsorgung
schützt Umwelt und Gesundheit.

FM-Systeme verbessern die Kommunikation entscheidend, wenn Lärm, Distanz oder
Nachhall Schwierigkeiten bereiten. Ein FM-System besteht aus einem FM-Empfänger,
der direkt auf Ihr MAXX Hörsystem aufgesteckt wird, und einem FM-Sender
(z. B. SmartLink). Der Sender wird in der Nähe der sprechenden Person aufgestellt
oder direkt an Ihrem TV-, Rundfunk- oder Telefonapparat angeschlossen.

Service und Garantie
Phonak bietet Ihnen eine umfassende, weltweite Garantieleistung an, gültig ab dem
Verkaufsdatum. Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Hörgeräte-Akustiker nach der im Erwerbsland
gültigen Garantie-Dauer. Die Garantie erstreckt sich auf die Reparatur im Fall von
Verarbeitungs- und Materialfehlern. Keine Garantieansprüche bestehen bei Vorliegen
eines normalen Verschleißes, unsachgemäßer Behandlung oder Pflege, chemischer
Einflüsse, eingedrungener Feuchtigkeit oder Überbeanspruchung. Bei Schäden, die
durch Dritte oder nicht autorisierte Servicestellen verursacht werden, erlischt die
Phonak Garantie. Die Garantieansprüche gelten für Phonak Produkte mit nachfolgend
aufgeführten Daten:

Congratulations on choosing a MAXX hearing system. MAXX is a Swiss quality product
made by Phonak.
Please read this manual carefully to benefit from all the features of your new MAXX
hearing system. With proper care and usage, your MAXX hearing system will reliably
and effectively support your hearing needs for many years.

Replacing the battery
1. Set the hearing instrument’s program selector switch to O (OFF position).
2. Open the battery compartment and remove the old battery.
3. Remove the protective foil from the new battery.
4. Insert the new battery (type 13) with the + sign (flat side of the battery) in line
with the + mark on the battery compartment.
5. Close the battery drawer.
Important: Handle the battery drawer gently – operation requires only a minimum of
force. If there is any resistance when closing the battery drawer, ensure that the
battery is correctly inserted. The drawer will not close if the battery is upside down.
Low battery warning: An acoustic signal (4 x 2 tones) gives you an early warning that
the battery is approaching exhaustion.

Operation
The program selector switch E has three positions (MAXX):
• O: The instrument is switched off.
• T: Activates the telephone / induction coil.
• M: The microphone is switched on.

Position «O»: The instrument is switched off.
Position «•» (green dot): The instrument is switched on.
Position «P»: Selects between microphone and telecoil. Each press of the switch to «P»
automatically selects the next hearing program. The switch does not stay in the «P»
position; after you have selected a program it returns to the «•» position (green dot).
Volume control D
Switch on the instrument. Wait two seconds for the hearing system to activate, then
adjust the desired volume.

To increase volume: turn the volume control upwards (acoustic signal = loudest
setting)
To decrease volume: turn the volume control downwards (acoustic signal= quietest
setting)
Left and right hearing system
It is important to use the correct instrument for each ear. Your hearing care
professional can mark your hearing instruments as follows:
Blue = left
Red = right
There is a colored mark inside the battery drawer (open the battery drawer and remove
the battery).
Tamper-proofing
Your MAXX hearing system can be fitted with a tamper-proof system to protect
children from battery-related hazards. Please ask your hearing care professional.

Warning
1. Hearing instrument batteries are toxic when swallowed!
Keep them out of the reach of children and pets. If batteries are swallowed, please
seek the advice of a medical practitioner!
2. Use only hearing instruments that have been specially programmed for you
by a hearing care professional. Other instruments may be ineffective and may,
in certain cases, even damage your hearing.
3. X-ray radiation may adversely affect the correct functioning of your
instruments. We recommend that you remove them before undergoing X-ray
procedures and keep them outside the room.
4. Hearing instruments with a directional microphone (MAXX 211 D) reduce
mainly background sounds. Warning signals coming from behind, such as signals
from approaching vehicles, are partially or completely suppressed.
Important points
1. Always use new batteries as replacements.
2. You can return empty batteries to your hearing care professional.

3. If you will not be using your hearing instruments for a longer period of time, be
sure to remove the batteries. Store your hearing instruments safely in their case
and leave the battery compartment open to allow any moisture to evaporate.
4. Protect your instruments from excess moisture and heat. Always remove them
when bathing, showering or swimming. Do not leave instruments near windows
or car windscreens. Avoid heavy knocks or vibration.
5. We recommend cleaning and drying your hearing instruments daily. Your
hearing care professional will be glad to advise you. Never use household
cleaning materials (detergent, washing powder, soap) for this purpose.
6. Hair spray, creams and make-up can damage hearing instruments. Remove them
before applying cosmetics.
7. Should you experience pain or inflammation in or behind your ear, please
contact your hearing care professional.
The symbol with the crossed out disposal bin indicates that this hearing
instrument shall not be treated as household waste. Please hand over your
old or unused hearing instrument to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment or bring your old hearing instrument to your hearing care professional for appropriate disposal. By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative effects
on the environment and human health.

FM systems greatly improve communication in situations where noise, distance or
reverberation are a problem. An FM system consists of an FM receiver that attaches
directly to your MAXX hearing system, and an FM transmitter (e.g. SmartLink). The
transmitter may be positioned close to the speaker, or connected directly to your radio,
TV or telephone, from here it cordlessly transmits the signal to your MAXX.

Service and Warranty
Phonak offers you a comprehensive global warranty which becomes effective on the
date of purchase. Please ask your hearing care professional about the details and duration. This warranty covers any repairs due to defects in material and/or workmanship. The
warranty does not cover damage from improper handling or care, exposure to chemicals,
immersion in water or undue stress. Damage caused by third parties or non-authorized
service centers renders the Phonak warranty null and void. This warranty does not
include any services performed by a hearing care professional in their office. This
warranty applies to the Phonak products listed below:

Remplacement de la pile
1. Arrêtez l’appareil en plaçant le commutateur de programme en position O.
2. Ouvrez le tiroir de pile et enlevez l’ancienne pile.
3. Retirez l’autocollant de protection de la nouvelle pile (type 13).
4. Mettez la nouvelle pile en place de telle sorte que son signe «+» (côté plat) soit
orienté vers le signe «+» marqué dans le compartiment de pile.
5. Refermez le tiroir de pile.
Important: Manipulez délicatement le tiroir de pile – il doit pivoter facilement, sans
forcer. Si vous sentez une résistance en le fermant, assurez-vous s.v.p. que la pile a été
correctement mise en place. Le tiroir de pile ne peut pas se fermer si la pile est mal
placée.
Indication d’usure de la pile: Un signal sonore (4 x 2 tons) vous informe en temps utile
que la pile est presque usée.

Utilisation
Commutateur de programme à 3 positions E (MAXX):
• O: L’appareil est arrêté.
• T: Le capteur téléphonique est activé.
• M: Le microphone est activé

Position «O»: L’appareil est arrêté.
Position «•» (point vert): L’appareil est en marche.
Position «P»: Chaque pression sélectionne le mode ou le programme suivant. Le commutateur ne reste pas en position «P», mais revient en position «•» (point vert) après la
sélection du mode souhaité.
Réglage du volume sonore D
Mettez l’appareil en marche. Attendez deux secondes jusqu’à ce que l’ordinateur auditif
soit activé et réglez le volume sonore au niveau souhaité.

Plus fort: tournez le bouton vers le haut (signal sonore = volume maximal)
Plus faible: tournez le bouton vers le bas (signal sonore = volume minimal)
Identification gauche/droite du système auditif
Il est important de placer chaque appareil sur l’oreille pour laquelle il a été prévu. Votre
audioprothésiste a pu identifier vos appareils de la façon suivante:
Bleu = appareil gauche
Rouge = appareil droit
Votre trouverez cette identification à l’intérieur du tiroir de pile (ouvrez s.v.p. le tiroir
de pile et enlevez la pile).
Verrouillage de sécurité pour les enfants
Pour écarter tout danger que représenterait la petite pile pour un enfant, votre ordinateur auditif MAXX peut être équipé d’un verrouillage de sécurité pour les enfants.
Renseignez-vous s.v.p. auprès de votre audioprothésiste.

Précautions
1. Les piles des aides auditives sont toxiques! Ne laissez jamais les piles à la portée
des enfants ou des animaux domestiques. Si des piles sont avalées, demandez
immédiatement l’assistance d’un service médical.
2. Utilisez exclusivement des appareils réalisés pour votre oreille et programmés
spécialement pour votre propre audition par un spécialiste. Un appareil inadapté
serait pour vous inefficace, voire dangereux pour votre audition.
3. Les rayons X peuvent affecter le fonctionnement correct de vos appareils. Nous
vous recommandons de les retirer avant de passer une radio et de les laisser en
dehors de la salle d’examen.
4. Les ordinateurs auditifs en mode directional (MAXX 211 D) atténuent principalement les sons venant de l’arrière. Des signaux d’alerte venant de l’arrière ou
des klaxons de voiture approchant derrière vous risquent d’être partiellement ou
totalement supprimés.
Recommandations importantes
1. Utilisez toujours des piles en bon état.
2. Vous pouvez rendre les piles usées à votre audioprothésiste.
3. Retirez les piles de vos ordinateurs auditifs si vous devez ne pas les utiliser

pendant quelque temps. Rangez vos ordinateurs auditifs dans leurs coffrets de
protection en laissant leurs compartiments de pile ouverts pour les aérer.
4. N'exposez pas vos ordinateurs auditifs à une humidité excessive ou à de trop
fortes températures. Retirez-les toujours avant de prendre une douche ou un
bain. Ne les laissez pas derrière une fenêtre ou dans une voiture au soleil. Evitez
les chocs et les vibrations.
5. Un nettoyage quotidien de vos ordinateurs auditifs est vivement conseillé, ainsi
que l'emploi d'un système déshydratant. Votre audioprothésiste vous conseillera
volontiers. N’utilisez jamais de détergents (lessive, savon,...).
6. Retirez vos ordinateurs auditifs avant d'utiliser des sprays pour les cheveux ou
des produits de maquillage qui pourraient les détériorer.
7. Si vous ressentez la moindre irritation ou inflammation dans ou derrière l’oreille,
contactez votre audioprothésiste.
Le symbole représentant une poubelle barrée indique que cette aide auditive, quand elle sera usagée ou si elle est inutilisée, ne devra pas être considérée comme un déchet ménager mais rapportée aux points de collecte pour
le recyclage des équipements électriques et électroniques. Vous pouvez aussi rendre vos anciennes aides auditives à votre audioprothésiste qui les jettera de façon
appropriée. En veillant à éliminer ce produit dans les règles, vous contribuerez à
éviter les risques potentiels pour l'environnement et la santé.

Les systèmes FM permettent d’améliorer considérablement toute communication perturbée par le bruit, la distance ou la réverbération. Un système de communication FM
est composé d’un récepteur, directement enclenché sur votre aide auditive MAXX, et
d’un émetteur (p. ex. SmartLink). L’émetteur est placé à proximité de votre interlocuteur ou est directement connecté à votre téléviseur, appareil radio, téléphone, etc.
Il prélève le signal utile et le transmet par ondes radio, sans fil, jusqu’au recepteur FM
de votre appareil MAXX.

Service et garantie
Phonak vous offre une garantie mondiale de vos appareils à partir de la date d’achat.
Renseignez-vous auprès de votre audioprothésiste sur la durée de la garantie dans le
pays où l’appareil a été acheté. La garantie couvre les frais de réparation des appareils
en cas de pièces défectueuses ou de défauts de fabrication. La garantie ne s’applique
pas en cas d’usure normale de l’appareil ou de dommages qui résulteraient d’une erreur
de manipulation, d’un défaut d’entretien, de dégradations par des agents chimiques, de
pénétration d’humidité ou d’utilisation inadéquate. Cette garantie ne couvre aucun des
services fournis par l'audioprothésiste dans son laboratoire. Tout dommage occasionné
par un tiers ou par un centre de réparation non agréé, annule l’effet de la garantie
Phonak. Garantie légale (France): La société Phonak reste tenue de la garantie légale
contre les conséquences des défauts ou vices cachés de la chose vendue.
