Stefan Godecki takes what he comes across or what moves him and creates
something new from it. The personal memories of the artist, mixed with his
feelings, give rise to an idiosyncratic synthesis of form and colour, in painting,
architecture and product design.
Stefan Godecki schöpft aus dem, was ihm begegnet, ihn bewegt und verbindet
es zu etwas Neuem. Aus den persönlichen Erinnerungen des Künstlers, die
sich mit seinen Gefühlen vermischen, entsteht eine ganz eigene Synthese
aus Form und Farbe; in der Malerei, der Architektur und im Produktdesign.

Stefan Godecki was born in Katowice, Poland, in 1956.
He studied architecture at Gliwice Technical University, graduating in 1982.
Since 1985, he has designed and implemented a variety of trade fair and interior design projects in Europe, Asia and America.
He has been Managing Director of Waskönig GmbH (interior design and trade fair exhibits) since 1997.
From 1998 to 2000, he was a consultant for EXPO 2000 in Hanover.
He completed a doctoral thesis at Warsaw Technical University from 2002 to 2005 and obtained
his doctorate in architecture in 2005.
At the same time, he also held guest lectures in Warsaw.
Stefan Godecki wurde 1956 im polnischen Katowice geboren.
Sein Architektur-Studium an der Technischen Hochschule Gliwice beendete er 1982 als Dipl.-Ing. Architektur.
Seit 1985 übernahm er in Europa, Asien und Amerika für diverse Projekte auf den Gebieten der Innenarchitektur
und des Messebaues Aufgaben der Planung und Realisation.
Für die Waskönig GmbH Innenausbau und Messebau ist er seit 1997 als Geschäftsführer tätig.
Von 1998 bis 2000 arbeitete er als Berater für die EXPO 2000 in Hannover.
In den Jahren von 2002 bis 2005 absolvierte er in Warschau ein Doktor-Studium an der
Technischen Hochschule Warszawa und beendete es 2005 mit der Promotion zum Dr.-Ing. Architektur.
Während dieser Zeit hielt er an dieser Einrichtung auch Gastvorlesungen.

2005 Innovation Award – Category: products of high architectural quality awarded by the architecture magazines AIT, ABIT and Intelligente Architektur for ARCADE stand design.
Best Stand Award 2005 – awarded by the Stavanger Forum for the ONS 2005 stand of Verbundnetz Gas AG
Best of Messe 2007 – awarded by architecture magazine „Baumeister“ for the most architecturally successful
stand at the Bau 2007 trade fair in Munich
Deutscher Preis für Kommunikationsdesign 2000 – The award for high design quality verliehen vom Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen für MR. PAPP
Innovationspreis 2005 – Kategorie: Produkte von hoher architektonischer Qualität vergeben von den Architekturzeitschriften AIT, ABIT und Intelligente Architektur für ARCADE Standkonzept.
