MOGUNTIA has the most modern spiee plant in Europe. Situated in Kirchbichl, with 12000 square meters and an annual capacity of
18000 t of spices and additives, the plant is continually developing and expanding.
Quality Management
The Moguntia factory utilises a state-of-the-art material flow concept. Computer-guided robots gather all the
ingredients of each recipe into dedicated large or small
containers. This automated dosage system guarantees a
recipe with 100% - accuracy.
Blending
The unique mixing technology utilising special dedicated containers for each batch
allows for complete clean-down between product changes. This guarantees a high
Ievei of hygiene and product safety.
New definition of the term „hygiene“
Detectors in all areas of the production plant and in the warehouses prevent unwanted
pests. All components of the production machinery are exclusively made of premium
quality high-grade stainless steel.
FRIOSAFE® - Cooler for better taste
MOGUNTIA was the first company in the world to develop this unique cold-grinding
procedure for spices FRIOSAFE®. The essential oils in the spices are concentrated by
liquid nitrogen. A unique and sophisticated cutting technology allows grinding without
heat generation, which prevents the volatilisation of the valuable essential oils. This
technique increases the taste profile by 25-30%.
CleanTec® steam sterilization
Spices undergo brief treatment with high temperature
saturated steam. This process- similar to ultra-heatingeliminates
nearly all micro-organisms in the spices. This technique is the
most natural form of microbiological reduction and offers the
advantage of an efficient and proteelive treatment of the spices
with consistent quality.
