Workshop / EAIVT Internal Social Network
Visit this workshop to learn all about the new forms of communication and possibilities that
are integrated in our brand new website. You will be introduced to this state of the art
technology that is used by many large companies to manage internal communications. We
will show you how to navigate through our members’ area and the best ways to present
yourself online. Did you know that you can access a list of participants with pictures through
your smart phone?
Hosted by Sandro Belfanti, MSc. ETIT
Workshop / JATO EU Car Market Data
One of the most popular requests regarding workshops by our last year’s participants was to
include a topic about figures of the European car market. This year, EAIVT joined up with
JATO. JATO is hosting a database with all information about the new cars, equipments,
prices and promotions in every country. They will introduce themselves, talk about their
offers and deliver an overview about the market structure in Europe.
Hosted by Thomas Wittrock, JATO Dynamics
Workshop / The EU Car Market - Non-Compliance and Obstruction
Meet the EAIVT-"Car Market Watchdogs": Our workgroup focuses on the new car market
and makes sure that the manufacturers and national authorities respect EU regulations on
sales and distribution of cars. This workshop will include actual working cases like Mitsubishi
and Volkswagen.
Hosted by Dr. Thomas Herzig, Eurobill
Workshop / Google Trends in the Automotive Market
From the increasing expectations of the tech-savvy online audience to the growing demands
of drivers and car buyers…, we will hear and discuss how dealerships (must) change the
way of doing business and what consumers expect from the car dealer today.
The workshop on trends in the automotive market is hosted by Fleur Engelberts, Google
Workshop / NAATA How to Increase Your Margins
Learn about the opportunities for European dealers importing North-American vehicles.
NAATA / AASA will show you how you can double your margins and increase showroom
traffic with vehicles from NAATA / AASA members.
Hosted by Wouter Van Essen and Andrew Pilsworth, NAATA/AASA board members
Workshop / EU Competition Policy and the Automotive Market
The current change in the Block Exemption Regulations (BER) from sector-specific to
industry-general raises fears among automotive dealers that the market may increasingly and to the detriment of dealers - come under the control of the manufacturers.
The workshop will discuss how DG Competition approaches any competition issues in car
distribution, how the new BER meets the challenges of the market and what automotive
dealers can do when they face competition issues in their trade.
The workshop is hosted by John Clark and Maria Kafetzidou, EU-Commission, DG Comp.
Friday Evening
Group Dinner
We will meet Friday, 7 June 2013, at 19:30 at the entrance of the Steigenberger Grandhotel.
The dinner will take place at the Le Plaza which is located on Boulevard Adolphe Max 188126 in 1000 Brussels.
The spacious hall was the first movie theatre in Brussels. Nowadays it’s fully restored and
used as an exquisite dining room by the Le Plaza Hotel.

After Dinner Party
The “After Dinner Party” takes place in a former church that has been turned into a night club
that looks absolutely stunning. Tickets can be purchased from the EAIVT Helpdesk during
