Die neue strahlenvernetzte Multi-NormSteuerleitung für Schienenfahrzeuge
Die europäische Normung hat mit der Reihe nach EN
50306 einen Maßstab gesetzt, der Steuerleitungen für
Schienenfahrzeuge mit verbessertem Verhalten im Brandfall
spezifiziert. In den einzelnen Teilen der Norm EN 50306
sind die hohen Anforderungen, sowie der Aufbau von Einzeladern als auch von Mehraderleitungen (geschirmt und
ungeschirmt) definiert. Die Anforderungen, sowohl an die
Adern als auch an die Leitungen, sind in allen Belangen
extrem hoch. Dies äußert sich in chemischer Beständigkeit
ebenso wie in mechanischen Anforderungen, einem breiten Temperaturbereich, exzellenten Brandeigenschaften
und geringen Werten für die Toxizität.
Mit der neuesten Steuerleitungsgeneration FLAMEX®
Control-X hat Nexans in seinem umfassenden ProduktPortfolio diese Norm in Produkte umgesetzt.
Der Name FLAMEX® ist der Markenname von Nexans
für Bahnleitungen, der Zusatz Control bezeichnet die Anwendung als Steuerleitung und das X steht für Strahlenvernetzung in unserem Spezialleitungswerk in Nürnberg.
Nexans bietet die Adern im höchsten Anwendungs-Level M und die Leitungen im Level MM
an. M bedeutet in diesem Fall eine sehr gute
Beständigkeit gegen sehr niedrige Temperaturen
(-40 °C), hohe Beständigkeiten gegen Öl und Kraftstoff
und die Einsetzbarkeit in der höchsten Gefahrenkategorie
nach EN 45545.
Die EN 50306 gilt europaweit und löst alle nationalen
Normen ab. Dennoch halten sich in Europa hartnäckig
einzelne nationale Prüfungen. Aus diesem Grund sind für
die FLAMEX® Control–X (Kurzform: FC-X) auch Brandprüfungen gemäß NF (Norme Francaise) und BS (British Standard) durchgeführt worden. Die FLAMEX® Control-X deckt
somit alle gängigen, europäischen Brandprüfungen
ab und ist darüber hinaus auch für Anwendungen
in Nordamerika geeignet, da nach der NFPA 130
der Test gem. UL1685 (Underwriter Labor­atories) bestanden wird.

The new e-beam crosslinked multi-standardcontrol cable for rolling stock applications
With EN 50306 the European standardization has set a
standard specifying railway rolling stock control cables
with improved fire performance.
In the different parts of the standard EN 50306 the high
requirements and the design of individual cores as well as
multicore cables (shielded and unshielded) are defined.
The requirements to the cores and the cables are extremely
high in all matters. This is manifested in chemical resistance
as well as in mechanical behaviour, a wide temperature
range, excellent fire properties and low values of toxicity.
With its latest series of control cable FLAMEX® Control-X
Nexans has implemented in its extensive product portfolio
this standard into products.
FLAMEX® is the brand name of Nexans for rolling stock
cables, the addition of Control means the application as a
control cable and the X stands for e-beam cross-linking in
our factory for special cables in Nuremberg.
Nexans provides the single cores in the highest
application-level M and the multicore types in
the level MM. M in this case means a very good
resistance to very low temperatures (- 40 ° C),
high resistance to oil and fuel, and the applicability in the
highest risk category according to EN 45545.
The EN 50306 is valid throughout Europe and will replace
all national standards. However, in Europe the compliance
with some individual national tests is still required. For this
reason also fire tests in accordance with NF (Norme Francaise) and BS (British Standard) have been conducted.
The FLAMEX® Control-X (short: FC-X) thus covers all common European fire tests and is also suitable for applications in North America, since according to the NFPA 130
the test acc. UL1685 is passed (Underwriters
Laboratories).
