Badeschiff
Berlins Südosten beginnt im Stadtkern
und reicht bis in die Natur. 800 Jahre
Stadtgeschichte, bedeutsame Industriedenkmale, lebendige Urbanität
mit Shopping und Kultur treffen auf
eiszeitlich geformte Hügellandschaften
und Wälder. Vor allem der ausgedehnte
Treptower Park entlang der Spree macht
Besuchern die zentrumsnahe Erholung
möglich. Dort befinden sich das größte
sowjetische Ehrenmal Westeuropas und
der Treptower Hafen, eine Anlegestelle
für viele Ausflugsschiffe. Nachtschwärmer zieht es in die Arena Berlin, in
der großen Halle finden regelmäßig
Konzerte, Messen und Partys statt. Im
Sommer ist das dort vor Anker gegangene Badeschiff ein beliebter Treffpunkt,
um sich etwas abzukühlen. Im Winter
dann wird das Areal kurzerhand zu einer
riesigen Saunalandschaft umgestaltet.
Köpenick ist der grünste Stadtteil Berlins: An der Mündung der Dahme in die
Spree liegt die historische Altstadt. Das
Ufer des nahegelegenen Müggelsees ist
ein Paradies für Badegäste, Segler und
Freizeitkapitäne.

This south-eastern borough stretches
from the city centre to the countryside
around Berlin. Home to 800 years of
history and key industrial monuments,
it combines a vibrant street life with
shops, restaurants and culture with hills
and forests formed in the ice-age. Above
all, the spreading Treptow Park along
the River Spree ensures that residents
and visitors can unwind close to the
city centre. The park is home to western
Europe‘s largest Soviet War Memorial, as
well as Treptow Harbour, a starting point
for many boat tours.The large Arena
Berlin hall regularly hosts concerts, trade
fairs and parties. This is also where the
popular Badeschiff pool anchors for the
summer – a unique swimming pool
complex made from converted barges.
In winter, the area is transformed into
a vast sauna landscape. Köpenick is
Berlin’s greenest district: the district’s
historical old town is located where the
river Dahme joins the Spree. Müggelsee
lake, Berlin’s largest lake, is only a few
minutes away and a paradise for swimming, sailing and recreation.
