Slam Dunk Contest
Kids Skills Relay
Slam Dunk Contest
Der Staffelbewerb wird am Mittwochabend um
18 Uhr in der Stadthalle B abgehalten und ist ausschließlich für Kids der Jahrgänge 2001 und jünger
zugänglich. Teams melden sich unter jenem Namen
an, wie sie für das Turnier genannt haben. Für die
Teilnahme ist ein Minimum an 6 Aktiven notwendig. Mädchen und Jungen spielen gegeneinander
(werden nicht in unterschiedliche Bewerbe getrennt). Teams können gemischt sein. Beim Bewerb
geht es darum, als Team so schnell wie möglich
einen Slalom-Parcours (Stangenwald) zu umlaufen,
während man den Basketball dribbelt. Der Bewerb
wird von Schiedsrichtern überwacht. Vor der ersten
Runde werden die Regeln des Bewerbes ausführlich
erklärt. Gewonnen hat jeweils das Team, dessen letzter Läufer den Stangenwald ohne Regelübertretung
absolviert (zu seinem Team zurückkehrt).
Ein Klassiker ist der Dunking Contest am Freitag um
19 Uhr, Stadthalle B. Im Slam Dunk Contest treten
die Athleten zu einem von einer fünfköpfigen Jury
beurteilten Bewerb im Stopfen an. Die Jury vergibt bis
zum Finale Scores von 1 bis 6, das Finale selbst wird
zwischen 2 Sportlern ausgetragen und mit A und BNoten bewertet. Bei vergangenen Osterturnieren kam
die Mehrheit der Slam Dunk-Sieger aus Deutschland,
doch die internationale Konkurrenz wird ständig
stärker. Die Vorausscheidung findet am Freitag um
17.45 Uhr in der Stadthalle A statt. Dem Sieger winkt
eine vollständige Basketball-Ausstaffierung von
unseren Sponsoren.
The competition takes place on Wednesday evening
at 6 p.m. in Stadthalle B. It is open to age group 2001
and younger. Teams may sign up under the name
they subscribed under for the regular tournament.
In order to participate in the Kids Skills Relay, your
team needs 6 athletes. Girls and boys are competing
against each others teams (they are not separated
into two different competitions).
A classic at the Osterturnier, the Slam Dunk Contest
represents the annual highlight on Friday at 7 p.m. In
this event, the finest young athletes gather to show
their jumping and dunking abilities judged by a jury of
5 independent experts. The jury awards scores from
1 to 6 before the finals, the finals themselves are carried out between two and are voted with either A or
B- marks. The majority of Slam Dunk champions in
the past came from Germany, but the international
competition grows stronger each year. Tryouts are
held on Friday afternoon, 5.45 p.m., Stadthalle A. The
winner of the main event is presented with attractive
prices such as a whole set of basketball gear from our
sponsors.

Mixed Free Throws
Bewerb für gemischte Teams am Donnerstagabend,
19 Uhr. Jedes Team besteht aus 6 TeilnehmerInnen
(nur aktive Turnierteilnehmer), die abwechselnd
hintereinander aufgestellt Freiwürfe werfen. Ein
Durchgang dauert 90 Sekunden, die Teams mit den
meisten getroffenen Freiwürfen (pro Runde) steigen
in die nächste Runde auf. Das Alter und Geschlecht
innerhalb des Teams darf variieren. Coaches/ erwachsene Betreuer dürfen nicht teilnehmen.

The Kids Skills Relay is about dribbling a basketball
around a slalom section as quickly as possible. The
competition is supervised by referees. Instructions/
rules are explained before the start of the first run.

without breaking any competition rules.

Competition for mixed teams, which is played on
Thursday at 7 p.m. Each team contains of 6 boys/ girls
who have to be registered tournament participants.
They have to form a line and attempt free throws
from the corner of the free throw line. Each run is 90
seconds. The Team with the most made free throws
(counted separately in each run) reaches the next
round. Teams may play athletes of varying ages and
sexes. No coaches/ adults allowed.
