A bandeira dos Estados Unidos também conhecida como The Stars
andStripes, foi adotada em 14 de junho de 1777, por resolução do Segundo
Congresso Nacional.
Antes de chegar a sua atual versão, a bandeira dos Estados Unidos
sofreu 26 modificações no decorrer da história. A última modificação, que
estabeleceu a configuração atual com 50 estrelas, ocorreu em 4 de junho de
1960.
Significado
As 50 estrelas da bandeira representam todos os Estados. Já as faixas
(nas cores vermelha e branca), simbolizam as 13 colônias que deram origem
aos Estados Unidos.
A cor vermelha presente na bandeira simboliza valor e resistência.
Já a cor branca representa a pureza.
O azul simboliza a justiça e a perseverança.

The American Flag
The United States Flag, also known “The Stars and Stripes”, was had on
June 14th 1777, for a resolution of the Second National Congress.
Before the arrival of the current version, the United States Flag had
suffered 26 changings during its history. The last changing, which set up the
current configuration with 50 stars, happened on June 14th 1960.
Meaning
The 50 stars on the Flag, symbolize all the States. However the stripes
(in red and white colors), are the 13 colonies which originated the United States.
The red color on the Flag symbolizes value and resistance.
However the white color symbolizes the purity.
The blue one symbolizes the justice and the perseverance.
