The abortionist who reassembles the arms and legs of a tiny baby to make sure all its parts have been torn from its mother’s body can hardly doubt whether it is a human being. The real question for him and for all of us is whether that tiny human life has a God-given right to be protected by the law–the same right we have.” Ronald Reagan Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time July 20, 2014 Those who are just must be kind. FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Dear Parishioners, This Sunday I am turning over this space to our long-time Parish Music Director, Josephine Sanges, who has an important message to share with all of you. “Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima, In the 26 years that I have had the privilege to work here at Our Lady of Fatima so many wonderful memories come to mind, far too many to mention. In that time I have been very fortunate to work for kind and generous pastors, Msgr. Breen, Msgr, Brennan and Msgr. Mahoney, each having always been very supportive of me and of Music Ministry in our parish. The priests, the parish staff, Stephen Smith, the members of our parish choirs, and parishioners here at Our Lady of Fatima have become an extended family to me throughout my time here, and for that I will always be grateful. Life presents itself with many new challenges along the way, and with those challenges, change is inevitable. I have recently accepted the position of Director of Music at my home parish of Notre Dame beginning September 1st. I have always considered Our Lady of Fatima a second home and leaving here is so very bitter sweet. Please keep me in your prayers as I will keep you in mine. I will always remember Our Lady of Fatima with great fondness. Never stop singing!” Josephine Sanges I am quite certain that all of you want to join me in expressing our heartfelt thanks to Josephine Sanges for her many years of dedicated and faithful service here at Our Lady of Fatima. Her extraordinary voice has always graced and enriched our parish liturgies. She has worked tirelessly with our choirs and has served as a generous, cooperative and supportive member of our Pastoral Staff. She has been a vitally important part of our parish life and, although we sincerely wish her well in her new position, we know that we will miss her very, very much! It is my hope that sometime in September we will have a Farewell Celebration for Josephine to express our gratitude. With her gracious assistance I have begun to interview candidates for the position of Parish Music Director. Josephine, please know that our prayers go with you and that you will always have a special place in all of our hearts! Msgr. Mahoney MONSIGNOR BREEN We wish to announce that Msgr.
