Objectives:
Undergrounding of low and medium voltage electric power distribution networks, is
possible today thanks to technology developed which have advantages in terms of
environment, energy efficiency and reliability. Nevertheless, the undergrounding
development presents a cost that must be compatible with the requirements of the price of
electricity delivered to consumers.
A first seminar was held on this theme in 2009 in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil. Given the
success of this first meeting, the organizers decided to hold a second seminar: Cabos'11,
8 to 10 November 2011.
The objective of Cabos'11 will take stock of the state of the art, new achievements and
future prospects of undergrounding distribution networks.
