Aufgabenstellung
Daimler stattet seine Fahrzeuge mit Reifen
verschiedener Hersteller aus. Für die Erschließung
neuer Zukunftsmärkte wie beispielsweise China
kommt dem internationalen Zertifikatsmanagement
eine immer größer werdende Bedeutung zu. Das
Automobilunternehmen stand daher vor der
Aufgabe, rasch eine leistungsfähige Lösung zu
etablieren, die das schnelle und flexible Management
von Herstellerzertifikaten zwischen den beteiligten
Unternehmen zulässt. Interne IT-Lösungen der Daimler
AG sind für die Open Collaboration mit Partnern nur
schwer nutzbar, weil externe Zugriffe Sicherheitsrisiken
für die hauseigene IT-Infrastruktur darstellen.

Lösungsansatz
Im Mai 2011 fiel die Entscheidung, in Zusammenarbeit
mit Fabasoft eine Cloud App für die Verwaltung von
Herstellerzertifikaten zu entwickeln. Die Unternehmen
legten dafür gemeinsam das Anforderungsprofil
fest. Das Ziel war die Entwicklung einer BusinessAnwendung, die allen Automobilunternehmen
und Reifenherstellern weltweit über das Internet
zur Verfügung steht, für das Management von
Reifenzertifikaten sowie für die Bestätigung und
Freigabe der Zertifikate über einen formalen
Geschäftsprozess (Workflow).

nutzen. Mitarbeiter der Daimler AG und der

Zertifikatsdokumente. Das bedeutet mehr Agilität
und damit deutliche Wettbewerbvorteile.
Die europäische Business Cloud
Die Fabasoft Cloud ist die europäische Business
Cloud für B2B Collaboration. Die Fabasoft Cloud
ermöglicht Unternehmen die Zusammenarbeit
mit Geschäftspartnern (B2B Collaboration) – über
Unternehmens- und Ländergrenzen hinweg.
Die Fabasoft Cloud ist ein klares Bekenntnis zu
Informationstechnologie „Made in Europe“. Sie
ist von Europäern für Europa gemacht und wird
in europäischen Rechenzentren betrieben. Sie
erfüllt höchste Anforderungen für Datensicherheit,

5-tägigen Workshops im August auf Basis der
vorbereiteten Spezifikationen. Nach Abschluss der
Qualitätssicherung Anfang September begannen
Mitarbeiter der Daimler AG mit der Erfassung von
Unterlagen. Für jeden Reifenhersteller wurde dafür
ein gesonderter Teamroom eingerichtet. Damit ist
sichergestellt, dass jeder Hersteller in der Cloud auch
nur die eigenen Zertifikate sehen und bearbeiten
kann.

Zertifizierte Sicherheit und Zuverlässigkeit
Die Fabasoft Cloud ist durch ein Höchstmaß an
Sicherheit gekennzeichnet. Dies bestätigen neben
dem Certified Cloud Service Zertifikat des TÜV
Rheinland auch noch andere international anerkannte
Sicherheitsstandards, wie ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO
9001 und ISAE3402 Type 2.

Task
Daimler equips its vehicles with tires made by different
manufacturers. To expand and develop future
markets such as China, more and more emphasis
is placed on the international management of
certificates. The automotive company was facing the
challenge of needing to quickly implement a solution
that enabled the fast and flexible management of
manufacturer certificates between the participating
companies. Daimler AG’s internal IT solutions for open
collaboration with partners are unsuitable because
external accesses represent security risks for their inhouse IT infrastructure. Data transfer via e-mail, FTP
or USB flash drive is insecure, tedious and does not
fulfill the requirements of compliance standards.

Implementation
Owing to the extensive preparation and efficient
collaboration, the Cloud App was quickly
implemented. The development was carried out
during a 5 day workshop in August based on the
previously defined specifications. Upon completion
of quality assurance at the beginning of September,
Daimler AG employees began with the compilation
of documents. A separate team room was set up for
each manufacturer. This way each manufacturer can
only see and edit its own certificates.
Certified security and reliability
The highest degree of security is a hallmark of the
Fabasoft Cloud. This is confirmed by the “Certified
Cloud Service” certificate from TÜV Rheinland and by
other internationally recognised security standards
such as ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 9001 and ISAE
3402 Type 2.
Objectives met
The management of certificates in Fabasoft Cloud
means significant cost reductions for the participating
companies. The Cloud App was immediately globally
available, without investment costs or project effort.
The solution leads to a significant improvement in
quality regarding the handling of certificates since

Bei The Mobility House handelt es sich um ein

sind sehr vernetzt, arbeiten viel von unterwegs und
vom Home Office aus. Stefan Ritter wollte seinem
Team die Möglichkeit geben, von überall zu arbeiten
und hat deshalb schon von Beginn an auf CloudLösungen gesetzt. Dabei kamen unterschiedliche
Cloud-Anbieter zum Einsatz, bevor sich die
Mitarbeiter von The Mobility House für die Fabasoft
Cloud entschieden.

Lösungen

Ein wachsendes Unternehmen benötigt in einem
dynamischen Marktumfeld eine Cloud-Lösung, die
problemlos erweiterbar, effizient, sicher und ständig
verfügbar ist. Rund 25 Prozent der Mitarbeiter arbeiten
von unterwegs. Für sie ist es wichtig, unkompliziert
mit Windows- und Apple-Computern wie auch mit
iPhone und iPad auf das Netzwerklaufwerk zugreifen
zu können. Das Unternehmen hat seit seiner Gründung
mit Cloud-Lösungen gearbeitet – zuerst mit Dropbox,
dann mit Box. „Wir haben nach einer besseren Cloud-
Lösung mit einfacher Benutzerführung gesucht,
deren Server im EU-Wirtschaftsraum stehen“, erklärt
Geschäftsführer Stefan Ritter die Beweggründe für
den Wechsel. Er suchte nach einem Anbieter mit
Daten-, Zugriffs-, Rechts- und Versorgungssicherheit
sowie zertifizierten Mindestqualitätsstandards –
einem Cloud-Dienst mit europäischer Prägung.
Lösungsansatz
Anbieters: „Wir wollten unsere Daten nicht auf USServern gespeichert haben. Unsere Recherche
führte uns zu Fabasoft, wo wir sogar die Möglichkeit
haben, unsere Daten im von uns gewünschten Land
zu speichern.“ Zwar gab es bei der Synchronisation
der Daten Anlaufschwierigkeiten. „Dies haben die
Techniker von Fabasoft innerhalb kürzester Zeit
gelöst“, so Ritter. „In der Fabasoft Cloud können wir
nun die komplette Organisation abbilden“, erklärt
Ritter. „Die Rechtevergabe funktioniert bei uns über
die Organisation und nicht namensbasiert.“
Derzeit sind rund 30 Perfektionisten, Idealisten und
Techniker täglich für The Mobility House-Kunden auf
der Suche nach der besseren Lösung, dem optimalen
Prozess und einem noch besseren Produktdetail für
zukunftsweisende Elektromobilität. Diese Personen
wollen in einer Cloud arbeiten, die genauso gut
funktioniert, wie jenes Produkt, das sie anbieten.
Der Wissens- und Dokumentaustausch soll über ein
Netzwerklaufwerk funktionieren, auf das Mitarbeiter
geräteunabhängig zugreifen können.

Umsetzung
Die Implementierung der Fabasoft Cloud als
Plattform für unternehmensweites Arbeiten in der
Cloud hat nur wenige Wochen gedauert. „Wir haben
die Teamroom-Struktur angelegt, Rechte vergeben,
alle Daten in die Fabasoft Cloud hinübergeschaufelt
und die Mitarbeiteraccounts eingerichtet. Die
Umsetzung ist sehr rasch geschehen“, streicht
Stefan Ritter rückblickend hervor. Anfangs stand
der Softwareanbieter Fabasoft gar nicht im Fokus
von The Mobility House. „Wir hatten ursprünglich
einen anderen Favoriten“, so Ritter. Dennoch fiel
die Entscheidung zugunsten eines europäischen

Mit der Fabasoft Cloud haben die Mitarbeiter von
The Mobility House seit 01.01.2013 eine innovative
Cloud-Lösung, mit der sie einfach und sicher auf das
Netzlaufwerk zugreifen und die Daten bearbeiten
können. „Für uns ist es sehr wertvoll, dass wir jetzt
auch über das iPad mit den ganzen Daten arbeiten
können. Dabei ist die Fabasoft Cloud-App sehr
hilfreich.“ Die Dateiablage funktioniert einwandfrei.
Auch die Vertragsverwaltung wird genutzt. Die
Mitarbeiter von The Mobility House wissen zwar über
die Möglichkeit von Geschäftsprozessmanagement
Bescheid, welches Fabasoft Cloud für leichteres
und effizienteres Arbeiten anbietet, „wir haben dies
aus Zeitgründen derzeit noch nicht umgesetzt“,
stellt Ritter mit Bedauern fest. Mit Fabasoft hat
The Mobility House einen soliden und innovativen
Partner gefunden und forciert die Zusammenarbeit
in Zukunft noch mehr: „Voraussichtlich werden wir
die Anzahl der Accounts in naher Zukunft nochmals
erhöhen“, verweist Ritter auf das positive Wachstum
seines Unternehmens.

employees are very mobile and often work on the
move or from home. Managing Director, Stefan Ritter,
wanted to enable his team to work from anywhere
and therefore looked towards cloud solutions from
the beginning. Different cloud providers were used
before The Mobility House employees opted for
Fabasoft Cloud.

A growing company in a dynamic market environment

has been working with cloud solutions since its
foundation – first with dropbox and then with box.

their wish list was a provider offering data, access,
legal and availability security as well as certified

A team of 30 perfectionists, idealists and technicians
are constantly searching for the best solution, the
optimum process or an even better product detail
for cutting edge electromobility for The Mobility
House customers. They want to work in a cloud that
works just as well as the products that they offer. The
exchange of knowledge and documents should take
place via a network drive that employees can access
with any device.

Although there were initial difficulties with the data
synchronization, “These were solved extremely quickly
by the Fabasoft technicians”, explained Stefan Ritter.
“In Fabasoft Cloud we were able to model our entire
organization. We can therefore assign access rights
based on the organization and organizational units
rather than individual names.”
Achievement of objectives
Implementation
DThe implementation of Fabasoft Cloud as a platform
for company-wide collaboration in the cloud lasted
just a few weeks. “We set up the Teamroom structure,
assigned access rights, imported all the data into
Fabasoft Cloud and activated the employee accounts.
The implementation itself went very quickly“,
assessed Stefan Ritter. Initially Fabasoft was not under
consideration by The Mobility House. “Our original
favorite was Mybox. This is not a bad product and is
better known than Fabasoft Cloud.” But the decision
fell in favor of a European provider. “We didn’t want to

With Fabasoft Cloud The Mobility House employees
have enjoyed an innovative cloud solution since
January 1, 2013 with which they easily and securely
access the network drive and work with the data. “To
be able to work with the data using iPads is extremely
valuable for us. The Fabasoft Cloud app makes this
easy. The data storage works perfectly. We also use
the contract management app. The Mobility House
employees know about the business processes that
Fabasoft Cloud offers for easy and efficient work, but
unfortunately we haven’t yet had time to implement
them.” With Fabasoft The Mobility House has found
a reliable and innovative partner and plans to further
develop the collaboration. “We are looking to increase
the number of accounts in the near future.” – Stefan

Der Kreisverband Böblingen des Deutschen Roten
Kreuzes und seine Ortsvereine erbringen, als
Teil der weltweit größten Hilfsorganisation, eine
Vielzahl von Leistungen: Bevölkerungsschutz und
Katastrophenhilfe, Sanitäts- und Betreuungsdienst,
Rettungsdienst und Integrierte Rettungsleitstelle
für den Landkreis Böblingen, Krankentransport,
Ambulante Dienste, wie MenüService oder HausNotruf, sowie Betrieb von elf Altenpflegeheimen.
Im DRK-Zentrum in Sindelfingen wird die Arbeit der
1.500 ehrenamtlichen und rund 1.000 hauptamtlichen
Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter koordiniert und
unterstützt.

Um rascher und effizienter die Organisationstätigkeiten
abwickeln zu können, wurde im Rahmen einer
Klausurtagung nach einer Software als ServiceLösung gesucht, die ohne IT-Projekt einsetzbar
und bereits praxiserprobt ist. Die Lösung soll
es den Funktionsträgern und Mitarbeitern des
Kreisverbandes, ob im Ehren- oder Hauptamt,
ermöglichen, rasch Informationen zu teilen aber auch
nach entsprechenden Daten zu recherchieren.

Chronologie
Im Rahmen einer Klausurtagung wird die
Weiterentwicklung der IT festgelegt. Hierbei wird
verstärkt der Informationsfluss innerhalb des
Verbandes, das Management von Ressourcen, wie
Fahrzeuge, Besprechungs- und Unterrichtsräume
und Gerätschaften wie auch die Terminkoordinierung
betrachtet. Die Teilnehmer der Klausurtagung
schlagen die Einführung einer Cloud-Lösung vor und
entscheiden sich für die Produkte der Firma Fabasoft.

Das Präsidium des DRK-Kreisverbandes Böblingen e.
V. beschließt die Einführung von Fabasoft Cloud für
die ehren- und hauptamtlichen Funktionsträger.
In der Vorbereitungsphase einer jeden Sitzung werden
die Vorlagenentwürfe im Teamroom eingestellt,
so dass eine koordinierte und nachvollziehbare
Bearbeitung der Vorlagen erfolgen kann. So sind
bei Bedarf Änderungen noch am Tag der Sitzung
möglich.
Die Zusammenarbeit mit den Ortsvereinen
Um einen schnellen und sicheren Informationsaustausch zwischen dem Kreisverband und den
Ortsvereinen sicher zu stellen, wird für jeden
Ortsverein ein entsprechender Teamroom zur
Verfügung gestellt.
Das Nachschlagewerk
Satzungen,
Ordnungen
und
Richtlinien
gehören ebenso zur täglichen Rotkreuzarbeit
wie
entsprechende
Rundschreiben
und
Fachinformationen der übergeordneten Verbände.
Im Teamroom „Bibliothek“ stehen alle erforderlichen
Daten zur Verfügung. Für die benutzerfreundliche
Volltext-Suche in Inhalten und Fachdaten steht
Mindbreeze als fixer Bestandteil von Fabasoft Cloud
zur Verfügung.

Februar 2013
Die Vorsitzenden der 25 DRK-Ortsvereine werden
über die Einführung von Fabasoft Cloud informiert
und stimmen der Umsetzung zu.
Die
Mitglieder
des
Präsidiums
sowie
die
hauptamtlichen Führungskräfte werden mit iPads
der vierten Generation ausgestattet.
Zur ersten papierlosen Sitzung des Präsidiums
wird über die Cloud eingeladen. Alle erforderlichen
Sitzungsunterlagen
befinden
sich
in
einem
entsprechenden Teamroom.
Die Gremienarbeit
Neben der Mitgliederversammlung sind das
Präsidium,
der
geschäftsführende
Vorstand
sowie
die
Gesellschafterversammlungen
der
Tochtergesellschaften
die
beschlussfassenden
Organe des Verbandes. Die Mitglieder der jeweiligen
Organe wurden mit iPads ausgestattet. Für jedes
Gremium wurde ein entprechender Teamroom
Die Abstimmung von Terminen sowie die Information
über stattfindende Veranstaltungen konnte über
den Terminkalender realisiert werden. Mühsames
Abfragen von möglichen Terminen, auch mit externen
Teilnehmern, entfällt.
Das Ressourcenmanagement
Das
Führen
von
Belegungsplänen
und
Fahrzeugbüchern gehört im DRKKreisverband
Böblingen der Vergangenheit an. Die Buchung
von
Besprechungsräumen,
Lehrsälen
oder
Dienstfahrzeugen erfolgt über die Cloud. Schnell und
einfach können freie Raumkapazitäten abgefragt und
gebucht werden.
Die Cloud an der Einsatzstelle
Die Kombination von iPad und Cloud ermöglicht es,
den ehren- und hauptamtlichen Führungskräften
der Einsatzformationen des DRK-Kreisverbandes
Böblingen an der Einsatzstelle schnell auf notwendige
Informationen wie Alarm- und Ausrückordnungen,
Ansprechpartner oder auch Notfallpläne zu zugreifen
- ein klares Plus auch zum Wohle der Hilfsbedürftigen,
für die das Rote Kreuz im Einsatz ist.

Overview
The Böblingen Red Cross district association and
its local associations provide a range of services
as part of the largest worldwide help organisation:
Civil defense and emergency aid, sanitary and care
services, emergency services and integrated rescue
coordination center for the Böblingen district,
ambulance service, community services such as
home catering or home emergency calls as well as the
running of eleven nursing homes for the elderly. The
German Red Cross centre in Sindelfingen coordinates
and supports the work of the 1,500 voluntary and
1,000 full-time employees.

Chronology of Fabasoft Cloud usage
The further development of IT was determined as
part of a closed meeting. A strong focus was placed
on the information flow within the association, the
management of resources such as vehicles, meeting
rooms, seminar rooms and equipment as well as
the coordination of appointments. Those present at
the meeting suggested the introduction of a cloud
solution and opted for the products from Fabasoft.
Changes can therefore be made right up to the day
of the meeting if needed.
Unite locations with collaboration
In order to ensure a quick and secure exchange of
information between the district association and local
associations a team room is set up for each local
association.

The chairmen of the 25 German Red Cross local

board members and the full-time managers are
equipped with fourth generation iPads. The first
invitations to a paper-free board meeting are sent
via the cloud. All necessary meeting documents are
contained in the corresponding Teamroom.
Statutes, regulations and guidelines such as
newsletters and specialist information from superior
associations are also part of daily Red Cross work.
All relevant information is available in the Teamroom
“Library”. Mindbreeze – the integrated user-friendly,
full-text search in the Fabasoft Cloud – makes content
and specialist data easily available.
Appointment calendar
The coordination of appointments and information
about events is conducted via the team calendar. This
removes the time-consuming process of inquiring
about possible appointments, both internally and with
external participants.
Resource management
Committee work
Alongside the general meeting, the executive board,
the managing directors and executive partners of
sister companies are the decision-making bodies of
the association. The members of the relevant bodies
are equipped with iPads.
Making allocation plans and vehicle books belongs
to the past for the Red Cross District Association
Böblingen. The booking of meeting rooms, seminar
rooms and company vehicles now takes place via the
cloud. The availability of rooms and relevant bookings
can now all be managed quickly and easily online.
The cloud on deployment
A Teamroom was set up for each committee in which
the invitations, proposed resolutions and other
information are saved.
In the preparation phase of a meeting the draft
proposals are adjusted in the team room to enable
a coordinated and traceable handling of the
proposals.
The combination of iPad and cloud allows Red Cross
District Association Böblingen’s voluntary and fulltime deployment formation leaders at the scene of
deployment to quickly access necessary information
such as alarm and call-out orders, contact persons and
emergency plans – a clear and potentially life-saving
advantage to those being aided by the Red Cross.

4.1 Gewissheit, wo die Daten sind: Cloud Lokationen
Die Fabasoft Cloud gibt den Kunden mit dem weltweit einzigartigen Konzept der Cloud
Lokationen die Wahlfreiheit und Gewissheit, wo die Speicherung der Cloud-Daten erfolgt. An
jeder Cloud-Lokation – aktuell in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz – werden die Daten
jeweils in zwei geographisch getrennten High-Tech Rechenzentren synchron gespeichert. Sowohl
die Datenübertragung als auch die Datenspeicherung in den Rechenzentren erfolgt verschlüsselt.
Fabasoft setzt nicht auf ‚Infrastructure-as-a-Service‘-Angebote anderer Hersteller auf. Der
gesamte Source Code für die Fabasoft Cloud – inklusive Betriebssystem (CentOS) und Datenbank
(PostgreSQL) – ist bei Fabasoft verfügbar. Die Fabasoft Cloud garantiert, dass Daten Europa nicht
verlassen und ermöglicht gleichzeitig die sichere und grenzenlose Zusammenarbeit mit

Der Teamroom ist das zentrale Element in der Fabasoft Cloud für die Zusammenarbeit mit
Geschäftspartnern (B2B Collaboration) über Unternehmens- und Ländergrenzen hinweg. Ein
Teamroom ist ein geschützter Arbeitsbereich in der Cloud, zu dem nur Personen Zugang haben,
die explizit berechtigt sind, zur Zusammenarbeit eingeladen wurden und sich sicher
authentifizieren.

4.7 Automatische Synchronisierung
Über die lokale Client-Anwendung für Microsoft Windows und für Apple OS/X unterstützt die
Fabasoft Cloud die automatische Synchronisierung von Teamrooms in der Cloud mit einem
lokalen Arbeitsplatz-Verzeichnis. Das bedeutet, Informationen und Dokumente sind auch am
Arbeitsplatz verfügbar, wenn keine Internetverbindung besteht.
4.8 Einfache Integration in bestehende Umgebungen
Die Fabasoft Cloud setzt auf Plattform- und Hersteller-unabhängige Standards. Beispielsweise ist
der Zugriff auf Teamrooms in der Cloud auch über ein Netzwerklaufwerk (WebDAV) im Microsoft
Windows Explorer oder Apple OS/X Finder möglich. Damit können alle Produkte und
Anwendungen, die Verzeichnispfade unterstützen, direkt in die Fabasoft Cloud speichern oder
aus der Fabasoft Cloud lesen. Ohne jeglichen Integrationsaufwand.
4.9 Elegante, einfache und intuitive Bedienung
Die Fabasoft Cloud bietet eine intuitive, einfache und elegante Benutzeroberfläche, die auf dem
modernen Web-Standard HTML5 basiert. Die Bedienung ist in jedem handelsüblichen

4.10 Semantische Volltextsuche
Die Enterprise Search Technologie der Firma Mindbreeze GmbH (www.mindbreeze.com)
erschließt Informationen und Dokumente in der Fabasoft Cloud in einem semantischen
Suchindex. Damit findet ein Benutzer über ein einfaches Suchfeld sofort das Wesentliche aus
jenen Teamrooms, für die er die Zugriffsrechte besitzt. Über kontextbezogene, dynamische
Informationselemente (Facets) navigiert der Benutzer effizient und rasch in der Trefferliste.
4.11 Mobiler Zugriff
Die Fabasoft Cloud App für Apple iOS und Android erleichtern auch unterwegs den sicheren
Zugriff auf Informationen und Dokumente in der Cloud. Das Synchronisieren von Informationen
und Dokumenten auf mobile Geräte vereinfacht den Zugriff ohne Internet-Verbindung.

4 The Fabasoft Cloud
4.1 Assurance of knowing where your data is: Cloud locations
With the worldwide unique concept of cloud locations, the Fabasoft Cloud gives customers the
freedom of choice and the assurance of knowing where their data is stored. At each cloud
location – currently in Germany, Austria and Switzerland – the data is stored synchronously in
two geographically separated high-tech data centres. All data transfer and data storage is
encrypted. Fabasoft does not use “Infrastructure as a Service” offerings from third party
providers. The entire Fabasoft Cloud source code – including operating system (CentOS) and data
base (PostgreSQL) – is available at Fabasoft. The Fabasoft Cloud guarantees that your data does
not leave Europe and simultaneously enables the smooth and secure collaboration with
international business partners.
4.2 Assurance of knowing who you are sharing it with
The Fabasoft Cloud protects the access to company data in the cloud. To prevent the misuse of a
user’s personal login data, Fabasoft sends a mobile PIN via email or SMS to the respective user.
Furthermore, the Fabasoft Cloud supports additional business login procedures such as singlesign-on (certificates), Active Directory and digital identities (ID card in Germany, SuisseID in
Switzerland and the Citizen Card with mobile signature in Austria).
4.3 Trust in the service partner: Legal security to European standards
Fabasoft offers its customers a European contractual partner, standard cloud contracts according
to European law as well as transparency and clarity regarding the agreed performance including
contractually guaranteed service levels. The actual service levels achieved are published under

4.4 Trust in the service quality: Fabasoft Cloud certified by TÜV Rheinland
After completing the extensive certification process, Fabasoft has been awarded “Certified Cloud
Service” status by TÜV Rheinland. The Fabasoft Cloud was tested extensively against the
quantitative and qualitative requirements of TÜV Rheinland’s exhaustive testing catalogue. In
December 2013 Fabasoft received the “Certified Cloud Service” certificate for the Fabasoft Cloud
to became the eighth company to successfully complete the testing procedure.
TÜV Rheinland certifies companies in cloud security. The basis is their self-developed, extensive
requirement catalogue for security and compliance for cloud services. The certificate “Certified
Cloud Service” orientates itself around the high demands of the German Federal Data Protection
Act, information security management according to ISO 27001 and around the IT Baseline
Protection from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

4.6 Fabasoft Cloud Teamrooms
The Teamroom is the central element in the Fabasoft Cloud for the collaboration with business
partners (B2B collaboration) across company and country boundaries. A Teamroom is a
protected working area in the cloud to which only explicitly authorised and invited persons who
have securely authenticated themselves have access.

4.7 Automatic synchronisation
Via the local client application for Microsoft Windows and Apple OS/X the Fabasoft Cloud
supports the automatic synchronisation of Teamrooms in the cloud with a local desktop
directory. This means that information and documents are also available on your desktop, even if
you do not have an internet connection.
4.8 Easy integration in existing environments
The Fabasoft Cloud focuses on platform and manufacturer-independent standards. Teamrooms,
for example, can be directly accessed via a network drive (WebDAV) in Microsoft Windows
Explorer and Apple OS/X Finder. This means that all products and applications that support
directory paths can save to or read from the Fabasoft Cloud. Without any integration effort.
4.9 Elegant, effortless and intuitive user experience
The Fabasoft Cloud offers an intuitive, user-friendly and elegant user interface based on the
modern web standard HTML5. The interface can be used in all common web browsers (Chrome,
Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari).
4.10 Semantic full-text search
Enterprise search technology from Mindbreeze GmbH (www.mindbreeze.com) consolidates
information and documents in the Fabasoft Cloud into a semantic search index. This enables
users to find what they need across all Teamrooms where they have access rights via one single
search field. Context-based, dynamic filters navigate the user efficiently and quickly through their
results lists.
4.11 Mobile access
The Fabasoft Cloud app for Apple iOS and Android give customers an optimised experience for
working securely on the move. The synchronisation of information and documents on mobile
devices means you can easily work on the move even if you do not have an internet connection.
4.12 Software accessibility: Cloud for all
The Fabasoft Cloud is optimised for usage by people with special needs – both in the web
browser and on mobile devices.
4.13 As company in the cloud: Business trust relationships
The Fabasoft Cloud forms a business network in which businesses can build sustainable
relationships of trust via cloud organisations for business-to-business collaboration. For this each
company sets up a cloud organisation for its employees in the Fabasoft Cloud. With the concept
of cloud organisations the Fabasoft Cloud enables a corporate DNA for companies in the cloud.
Via a cloud organisation a company can model its organisational structure – these organisational
units can then be used for assigning access rights in Teamrooms, for example.

If an employee leaves the company, then the cloud organisation makes sure that the documents
that the user created and used remain under the full control and possession of the company.

and drafts for committee meetings alone, not to mention the

Self-explanatory website navigation and structure
Starting from the homepage of the new website www.fabasoft.com complete with video and key messages,
you easily delve into more detailed information via the top menu topics “Trust”, “Solutions”, “Pricing”, “About
us”, “Blog”, and “Investors”. Even on the homepage, you are immersed in the Fabasoft world and feel the
company’s philosophy and values. Via the “About us” button and the drop-down menu point “Fabasoft
