Maier Sports, the expert for customized fit,
presents the new category bicycle touring
for spring/summer 2016. The South German
company realised that many outdoor enthusiasts
enjoy cycling as well as hiking. Therefore, they
designed an innovative line for bicycle tours pants, mid-layers and jackets suitable for biking,
hiking and just for wearing in the city.
The bi-elastic, convertible pants Thüringen
(Ladies) and Anhalt (Men) for hiking and cycling
are tailored to wear cycling pants underneath.
The areas in contact with the saddle are
reinforced with abrasion-resistant inserts. This
design has also benefits for hikers, e. g. while
sitting on a rock or a trunk. The width of the
pants is adjustable at the calf for cycling and, in
no time, they become comfortable, loose pants
again when off the bike. The trousers feature
an extra-high waist so that they fit nicely at the
back when bending forward. They are available
as short version as well, Brandenburg for women
and Sachsen for men.
Available to match is the versatile cycle touring
and outdoor jacket Cycle with best all-weather
protection thanks to mTEX 10.000 membrane.
The ventilation system ensures excellent
climate management – also well suited for long
approaches. The long splash guard is useful for
hiking and for a break on a wet bench. The backof-hand elongation is a typical feature of cycling
jackets.
