Tool Manager Europe (m/w)
This position will manage a support and development team focused on continuous
improvement and the maintenance, support and development of tools and platforms for the
sole purpose to increase productivity with in Dematic.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:









Facilitate the architecture, design, development and support of tools and platforms both command line and web based – that are continuously building, testing and
deploying software and infrastructure
Closely manage the project execution of cross-functional technical projects that
interfacing with several software development and infrastructure teams
Design and development of business relationships with suppliers and support
organizations to ensure that all applications effectively and efficiently service supports
the company and its business
Support and maintain key platforms such PLM (Siemens Teamcenter), EPM (MS
Project Server) and CAD (Autodesk, Siemens NX)
Budgets, Help desk, License management, Vendor management, Invoicing and 3rd
party support
Manage a technical team that meets and exceeds internal customers’ expectations
and achieve continuous improvement of service levels
Frequently collaborate and communicate with development and infrastructure
operations managers to define and explain tools plans/roadmaps, goals and set
priorities and manage expectations
Provide ongoing coaching and guidance of technical staff for their growth and
development (process and technical)
Support customer base through regular reviews and interactions

a bachelor's degree or master's degree or a PhD degree is required and several years
of relevant professional work experience
3+ years managerial experience (IT or software related experience preferred)
Experience managing software development projects (DevOps tooling preferred)
Effective leadership and coaching skills: ability to guide, motivate, and inspire others
Excellent communication skills--written/verbal, keeps others informed, involves the right
people in decision making, is proactive and displays strong initiative
Ability to appropriately balance strategic goals with tactical implementation
Experience with agile software development practices (Scrum, Sprints, Kanban, etc.)
Ability to envision processes and procedures to address working dynamics within the
group
Working knowledge of continuous build, test & deployment best practices and log
collection/analysis tools, IT-Governance
Experience in Program Management
German and English in word and writing
