Four weeks ago we happily announced that the very first two tenants, Ecovis R&D Consulting and Antal International already moved in the DRC Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building. Following a long German tradition the German Centre team brought the typical gifts bread and salt to welcome the new tenants and paid them a little housewarming visit. Bringing bread and salt is supposed to convey blessings and all the best wishes to our newly moved tenants and welcome them to the German Centre community. Bread and salt are dietary staples, while bread symbolizes our "daily bread" and salt can be regarded as one of the precious possessions of wealthy households in early cultures. Once again the German Centre Beijing warmly welcomes its first two tenants at the DRC building and is looking forward to further successful cooperation. Welcome on board! Did you know...? ...that the Christian communities of Beijing welcome a new Protestant and a new Catholic priest? The Catholic community in Beijing (Katholische St. Joseph Freinademetz Gemeinde) warmly welcomes its new Catholic priest Franz Herz. He was born in 1962 in Austria and had his ordination of the priesthood in 1988. He has been acting as priest since 2011 in St. Anton, Vienna. His official inauguration here in Beijing will take place the 10 October 2015 in the German embassy. The Protestant community (Evangelische Gemeinde Deutscher Sprache Peking) warmly welcomes Ralf Richter as new Protestant priest in Beijing. Born in 1963 in Hessen, he graduated in Theology in Marburg and Tübingen. Since 1998 he has been acting as priest in Hessen. His official inauguration in Beijing will take place the 31 October 2015 during the Reformation day in the German embassy of Beijing. Contact us German Centre for Industry and Trade Beijing Co.
