• Training can be done during work and can be more specifically
adapted to the problems and challenges of the work context
• Documentation and repetition are very easy
• Modules of training can easily be used in other courses
• Computer technology allows the use of many media: pictures,
graphics, movies, flash streams, etc..
Disadvantages
Disadvantages of E - Learning
• E-learning is dominated by technology; some
participants might have difficulties to handle it
• Usually participants need training on the IT system first
before they can participate in the training
• There are only few good teaching products and in most
cases courses need to be newly developed
• Quality tutors are scarce and need to be trained
• Constraints of IT technology sometimes limit the best
use of media.
