Performancekunst mit Auftritten internationaler und lokaler KünstlerInnen. Drei
Nächte Performances, Musik, Diskussion – let´s get it started!

Feministische und queere Inhalte und Ästhetiken haben sich inzwischen
in vielen künstlerischen Feldern ausgedehnt und kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt. Queerness
und Performativität, die in einer offenen und innigen Beziehung leben, bringen diverse,
wunderschöne, aktivistische, utopische, provokative, störende, verzaubernde und
ermächtigende Performances hervor.
KünstlerInnen zeigen an drei Abenden die Vielfältigkeit der queeren Performancekunst auf
verschiedenen Ebenen. Statt sich auf eine der zahlreichen Interpretationen der Begriffe
„Queer“ oder „Performance“ festzulegen, liegen die Strategien des In-Frage-Stellens
(QUESTIONING) und der Selbstermächtigung (EMPOWERMENT) im Fokus des Festivals.
Bestehende Parameter der Bedeutungen von interdisziplinären, queeren Performances gilt
es zu erweitern.
*DeniceDenise sind Denice Bourbon und Denise Kottlett. Die beiden Performerinnen bilden
zusammen eine interdisziplinäre Superdiva aus Musik, Performance, Popkultur, Punk, Camp
und Glamour.
Continually feminist and queer content and aesthetics have emerged and evolved into many
artistic fields. Queerness and performativity, connected through an open and deep
relationship, produce diverse, wonderful, activist, utopian, provocative, disturbing, bewitching
and empowering performances.
On three nights performers will show the diversity of queer performance art on different
levels: directly on the stage, intermediary through an exhibition and theoretical within the
context of a panel discussion. Instead of delivering one of many descriptions of the concept
„queer“ or „performance“, the festival´s focus lies within the exploration of strategies of
QUESTIONING and EMPOWERING. The festival ´s aim is to extend the exisiting
parameters of what interdisciplinary, queer performances mean and can mean in the future.
*DeniceDenise are Denice Bourbon and Denise Kottlett. Together the two performance
artists form one interdisciplinary superdiva of music, performance, pop culture, punk, camp
and glamour.

Captain Cunt (A)
Captain Cunt, self-proclaimed flamboyant Femme-Boi, has a great passion for grotesque
compositions, transformative gender role play and self-made body extensions. In her
performances s*he is working on the deconstruction of hierarchical power relations from
queer*feminist perspectives while trying to reflect on her own privileges.
Captain Cunt has an attitude you can't take completely serious:
a bit glamorous, a bit laissez-faire, always on the edge of failure.

Oh Blimey (US)
Hailing from the heart of San Francisco, transplanted in Los Angeles, Oh Blimey is a rapper,
singer and songwriter armed with an unmatched passion for artistry. Oh Blimey's musical
background extends two generations, to a blues musician father and jazz musician
grandfather, which adds unique depth to her musical knowledge. Soon after discovering her
adoration for hip-hop and love of poetry, she recognized her own affinity for lyricism. At the
age of twelve, Oh Blimey gained clout battling MC's on the school yard and returned to the
craft to claim epic victories in the world's largest battle league, Grindtime Now, which in 2012
gained her a feature on SPIN Magazine’s “50 Biggest Moments in White Girl Rap of All
Time”. Blimey has since released two projects while narrowing her focus on writing and
performing tunes. Her go-getter mindset, dreamer's spirit, and West Coast flavor are all
reflected in her edgy-dynamic lyrics and her musical versatility is sure to be exhibited in
coming projects. A free tape is due from The Blimes this summer as a "snack" for the fans
while waiting on her full-length debut album, plus her upcoming EDM release with hip-hop
legend Too $hort can be previewed in Vibe Magazine & Complex Music write-ups under
"Weird-Science".

Here, let me satiate your desire, delve into my archive, gentle user.
I'm a performer who straddles comedy and performance art.
I'm a surrealist who puts the camp back in communism and the fun back in feminism.
I love to make you laugh and I'm serious about entertainment.
Though I'm new to the stage, I'm no spring chicken. I started out as a gallery based artist in
the 90s. I gave art up cos what I made was worthy and boring. It took me ten years to start
my practice again when I hatched my alter-eggo - Bird la Bird.
I favour the music hall tradition to gallery based peformance art.
I come from a queer femme perspective but my art isn't just about being femme and it's for
everyone.

Thomas Hörl und Peter Kozek, Zusammenarbeit als Künstlerduo seit 2003, seither
zahlreiche Ausstellungen, Performances und Interventionen im öffentlichen Raum.
„In unseren Arbeiten finden sich immer wieder Motive, die das paarweise Agieren
verbildlichen, Formen des Duos, Konstellationen und Choreographien, in denen der eine
dem anderen als ergänzender Widerpart, spiegelbildliches Vis á Vis oder ausgleichendes
Balance-Element gegenübergestellt ist. Sie alle sind auch Ausdruck des Dilemmas zu zweit
auch allein zu sein, sein zu müssen und zu wollen - performative Duette, die manchmal eben

Nadia Buyse is a trans-disciplinary artist and musician living in Portland. She has been in at
least 30 bands she can remember. She has toured the United States and Europe, playing in
a range of spaces from music festivals, punk clubs, house shows, and discotheques. She
has also exhibited work internationally and nationally, including the MDW Art Fair in Chicago,
Beta Spaces in New York, and dOCUMENTA (13). She has recently received an MFA in
Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art and shortly after participated at the ART
STAYS residency program in Slovenia, went on a European tour with her multimedia music
project DUBAIS, and performed in the Republic of Georgia.

One part Las Vegas Showgirl, one part Broadway Baby and one part Drag Queen, Rubyyy
has performed all her life; a graduate of the illustrious Sheridan College Music Theatre-Pop
Performance program, she has worked with some of the top theatre performers and
educators in Canada and some of the sleaziest and sexiest cabaret and burlesque
performers in the world. A professional actress, debuting at sixteen in The Vagina
Monologues, Rubyyy has worked in theatre and music theatre as an actress, singer, dancer,
choreographer and assistant director.

Sadie Lune (DE/US)
Sadie Lune is a multimedia artist, sex worker, and pleasure activist. She has won awards for
her films and performances, exhibited explicit whore-positive work in venues from a former
Army barracks latrine to the SFMOMA, and shown her cervix internationally (in homage to
the great Annie Sprinkle). Her writing on art and sex is published in books and magazines in
the United States and Europe such as Bend Over Magazine and $pread. She is featured in
Too Much Pussy, an explicit documentary directed by Emilie Jouvet about the Queer X Show
tour of Europe, and will appear in the upcoming adult comedy Mommy is Coming by Cheryl
Dunye.
