“Do Princípio”
Um concerto viagem numa carreira de mais de 10 anos iniciada com os
Toranja. Autor de várias composições de referência da nova música portuguesa, foi há mais de dez anos que Tiago Bettencourt embarcou naquela
que seria a sua primeira aventura em estúdio, com os Toranja, marcando
para sempre o panorama musical português. A riqueza da simplicidade dos
seus poemas e melodias depressa captou a atenção do público.
A concert-journey through a career spanning over ten years that began
with the band Toranja. The author of many songs that became part of the
cannon of Portuguese music, Tiago Bettencourt embarked on his first studio adventure more than ten years ago with Toranja, forever influencing
the Portuguese music scene. The richness of the simplicity of his lyrics and
melodies quickly grabbed the public’s attention.

espetáculo a solo: “Voz da Razão”. O novo material que

Luís Franco-Bastos is back on the road with a new solo
show: ‘Voz da Razão‘ (The Voice of Reason). His new
material is based on a new perspective of the world,
in a new stage of his life now that he has reached personal and artistic maturity. His vocal schizophrenia
and his characters are still on stage, but Luís Franco-Bastos has his voice heard through the others.

“Lanzarote: a janela de Saramago” é uma exposição fotográfica sobre a
relação entre o Nobel da Literatura falecido em 2010 e a ilha que escolheu
para viver. Esta exposição é um diário/caderno de notas sobre o olhar sensorial e apaixonado do escritor, visto e filtrado pelo olhar de um fotógrafo
que em 1998 esteve em Lanzarote para o retratar, e que 15 anos depois
regressa para capturar novas imagens e tentar captar o que aquela terra,
no meio do oceano, representou para o único prémio Nobel de Literatura
da língua portuguesa.
‘Lanzarote: Saramago’s Window’ is a photography exhibition about the relationship between the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature who died in
2010 and the island he chose to live in. This exhibition is a diary/notebook
about the writer’s sensorial, passionate perspective seen through the eyes
of a photographer who in 1998 visited Lanzarote to portrait the author. Fifteen years later, he is back to take new pictures and try to capture what
the island represented for the only Portuguese-speaking writer to win the
Nobel Prize for Literature.

“BailArte Flamenco” é um espetáculo de cante, guitarra, cajón e baile flamenco. Tem como protagonistas os prestigiados bailaores Ramón Martínez
e Alicia Márquez. Este é um espetáculo de flamenco primitivo, no qual a
essência mais pura do corpo expressa-se sem complexos, sem normas, dois
corpos que dançam sem estar sujeitos a estereótipos, e que respondem ao
desejo de reencontrar-se com o seu impulso vital, com a sua alma.
‘BailArte Flamenco’ is a show of cante, guitar, cajón and baile flamenco. The
renowned bailaores Ramón Martínez and Alicia Márquez are the leading
dancers of this show. In this show of primitive flamenco, the purest essence
of the body expresses itself without complexes or norms. Two bodies dance
without being subjected to stereotypes, and respond to the wish of being
reunited with their vital impulse, their soul.

Quarteira celebra mais uma festa do desporto com a realização da Taça de
Triatlo da Europa e do XV Triatlo Prof. Carlos Gravata, que reúne a nata europeia da modalidade. No arranque de mais um ciclo olímpico, de olhos
postos nos Jogos do Rio de Janeiro, em 2016, os atletas irão, decerto, apostar num começo em grande pelo que se prevê uma competição intensa. A
prova é pontuável para a Taça de Portugal de Triatlo.
Quarteira celebrates sports with the 15th edition of Triathlon European Cup
and Prof. Carlos Gravata Triathlon, which will be gathering the best European athletes of this sport. At the beginning of another Olympic cycle, and
with their eyes set on the 2016 Rio Olympics, the athletes will certainly be
aiming for a great start and so competition is likely to be fierce. This competition counts towards the Triathlon Portugal Cup.

No dia 10 de abril realiza-se a Festa Grande da Mãe Soberana que constitui
o momento mais alto das celebrações em honra da padroeira da cidade.
Depois de no domingo de Páscoa ter-se celebrado a Festa Pequena, a Santa
regressa ao seu altar numa tradição que movimenta milhares de fiéis. Para
além do programa litúrgico, o fogo de artifício é o culminar de uma Festa
que tem também uma forte componente cultural e turística.
On the 10th of April the “Festa Grande” will be taking place in honour of
Mãe Soberana. It is the highlight of the celebrations of the Patron Saint.
According to a tradition with thousands of followers, the Saint is back on
the altar after Easter Sunday’s ‘Festa Pequena’. Besides the religious programme, the firework display is the culmination of these festivities with a
strong cultural and touristic element.

A 7.ª edição do Algarve Spa Week, este
ano subordinada ao tema “Spa & Desporto”, decorre de 9 a 17 de abril para
promover os melhores Spas em hotéis
de 5 estrelas no Algarve. Durante 9
dias, os 10 Spas aderentes propõem
um menu de Spa desenvolvido especialmente para o evento com 50% de
desconto. No âmbito do tema desporto cada Spa promove um workshop
desportivo de acesso gratuito a todos

and 15th May, visit the exhibition dedicated to nature,
and take part in the numerous outdoor activities and
experiences available at Passeio das Dunas in Quarteira. Walks, birdwatching, donkey rides, cycling, and
boat rides are some of the many options for you to
enjoy while contacting with nature. The exhibition is
part of Algarve Nature Week, a 10-day initiative which
shows the best of nature tourism in the Algarve. Between 13th and 22nd May enjoy the special offers for
