This year, our parish goals are as follows: Parish Goal 2014: $14,714.00 Parish Stretch Goal 2014: $18,117.00 This year’s AAA will continue to support the many good works of the ministries throughout the Archdiocese. This appeal is meant to instill in us all a heart and spirit of gratitude, reminding us that God will always be there. Through this campaign, we are called on to answer the cry of the poor; to help those who are in need; to feed, shelter, clothe, teach, and bring the Faith to those who are in need of hearing the good news of the Gospel. Thousands of people in the four counties served by the Archdiocese of Newark are assisted each year through various programs and ministries funded by the Appeal. Our parish also benefits by receiving a rebate from the appeal if it exceeds its goal. -----------------To learn more about the ministries of the Archdiocese of Newark, please visit www.rcanaaa.org, like us on Facebook at Please be aware that in case of heavy snow and ice on the ground, the 7:00 AM weekday Mass will be canceled. You want it, and I want it for You, with You, in You and from You; may every action of mine be perfect in Your Presence. May each and every act of mine be in itself supernatural, in conformity to the power of Your Sanctifying Grace and all Your other Graces. O my God and my All... Blessed Fr. Justin Russolillo, SDV, Spirit of Prayer, page 196 Learn more about Blessed Fr. Justin visiting the Vocationist Fathers’ website - vocationistfathers.org 2014 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal My Dear Friends in Christ, This year the theme of the Appeal is, When I called, You answered. It comes from Psalm 138 where the psalmist thanks God for hearing his prayer. God calls us also and we answer in many ways. The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is one way God calls and our participation is our answer to Him. The Archbishop’s Annual Appeal provides the poor with food, shelter and clothing; makes religious education, spiritual guidance and CYO athletics available for the young; insures the future leadership of the Church with seminarian education and training; and most importantly, brings Christ’s Good News to the people of the Archdiocese. Supporting the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is our thanks to God for hearing our prayers I respectfully ask for your support by again joining me in making a generous gift to the 2014 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. Please keep me in your prayers and know that you are always remembered in mine. Sincerely in the Lord, Most Reverend John J. Myers Archbishop of Newark “I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. 2 I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame. 3 When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.” Psalm 138: 1-3
