Foreword by District Apostle
Greetings, dear youth:
I welcome you to this year’s Day of the Youth for the
Mid-Germany district (MJT 2015). Nowadays, we often speak
in superlatives, but this Day of the Youth will exceed our
expectations in various ways. This is the first time a chief
apostle will serve our youth in middle Germany.
We welcome as our guests, district apostle Leonard Kolb
(USA) and our future district apostle Ruediger Krause
(district of Northern Germany). Never before has the day of
the youth for middle Germany lasted for so many days!
It was my wish from the beginning that you actively look forward to and prepare for this event. It is my great joy that you
did. Many times I felt great anticipation, but also enthusiastic
curiosity whenever you were looking forward to this feast of
faith. The preparation teams have been facing big challenges, but they also did their work with great joy. The result of
this will be many highlights on the property of Erfurt trade
fair. The day of the youth will start with an open-air-service
on Ascension Day and finds its crowning completion with the
service conducted by our Chief Apostle on Sunday.
»Ye shall be witnesses unto me« (ref. Acts 1, 8)
This is the official motto of MJT 2015. We live in a time where
a decline of christian faith can be observed in our western
world. As New Apostolic christians, we do not only want to
regret this tendency, but let us set a goal by the day of the
youth and show our true colors in the truest sense of the
word. On Friday we will explore the city of Erfurt, wearing
our colored »MJT« scarfs. As the highlight we will form a
huge choir on the stairs in front of the cathedral.
The days of our gathering in Erfurt will give everybody an
opportunity to see »old« friends again, to make interesting
contacts, and new friendships. Make use of this time to
exchange your ideas enthusiastically, to pray together, and
to chill out.
Filled with unforgettable impressions and sustainable power

Greetings from the mayor of Erfurt
Dear participants, dear guests:
Receive my heartfelt greetings and welcome to the Day of
the Youth for Mid-Germany of the New Apostolic Church in
the capital of the state Thuringia. I feel great joy that this
year the Day of the Youth of the New Apostolic Church takes
place in Erfurt again. For this reason, young Christians will
come together to talk to each other, to praise God and for the
divine service on the Erfurt trade fair property.
For me, it is a special joy that the participants not only come
from middle Germany, but that I can greet the young Christian guests from Poland, Belarus, Slovakia and South Africa.
While the service with Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider,
head of the New Apostolic Church, will be the highlight of the
Day of the Youth, on behalf of me, the Mayor and a citizen of
Erfurt, I would also like to suggest that you take advantage
of the sites in your host city.
Erfurt’s eventful history is more than 1,270 years old.
The center of the city, which is nearly completely preserved
from the medieval times, can be experienced in almost
every corner. Utilize your visit to the capital of Thuringia;

Motto thoughts
MOTTO THOUGHTS
»Ye shall be witnesses unto me«
(Acts of the Apostles 1, 8)
Jesus says Goodbye to his disciples – again. It is just a few
weeks ago that became true what he had foretold. Die.
And rise again. And then meeting him – the Risen one.
Fully unpredictable. Very personal. Very close. An emotional
roller coaster. And now a new Goodbye – forever?
The motto of the Youth Day challenges us to live as Christians in a believable way, to accept our fellow Christians in
their struggle to be believable and to share our motivations
in a true modern sense. Jesus believed in us when he said:
»Be my witnesses!«
But Jesus did not leave without comfort and not without an
order. That is how his friends knew him. He would stay with
them in the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost should
comfort them, accompany them and make them witnesses
in Jesus' stead.
The cry of »Be witness« is to every Christian, regardless
of age, sex or order: do we live our lives as witnesses or do
we just use empty phrases? What do we use to advertise
ourselves? The fruits Paul is writing about in the Galaterbrief: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness,
Selfcontrol? Are these values old or visionary?

Important general organisational instructions
WELCOME TO YOUR CENTRAL GERMAN YOUTH DAY 2015!
To ease your arrival, we have prepared an overview with
some useful information for you:
Orientation
The back cover of your CYD guide shows two useful plans:
• A general map of the exhibition grounds
• An overview of the event locations
Moreover, there is an overview of plans posted on the
exhibition grounds, on which you can orient and inform you.
On the plans it is also seen where to find the supply hall
(hall 3), the sleeping hall (hall 2) and the car parking.
Wristbands
The wristband should always be on your arm. All wristbands
are valid for admission into the supply room, and thus to
attend all meals as well as for the receipt of the packed
lunch (lunch on Friday and Sunday). Also on Friday it enables
you to free travel by tram to the city of Erfurt and back.
With the red wristband you have access to the sleeping hall.
With the green wristband you have access to the outside
area, where tents and caravans are located.
Info point and guides
In case of questions or problems of any kind, you can ask the
guides (in orange vest).
The information center in the entrance area is also an
important point of contact for your concern.
In addition, the info point can be contacted by phone 24/7
with the following number: +49 361 4002000
Medical help
If you need medical assistance, please get in the medical
service at the entrance. Call 112 for help in an emergency!
Mobile phone and powerbank
At the exhibition center the charging of mobile phones of all
participants is not feasible. This is why you get the power
bank prior to arrival. Please ensure that this is fully charged
when you arrive. At the entrance of hall 2, a station will be
installed where power banks (no mobile phones) can be
recharged.

Timetable for big City Rally
»Erfurt is the best place«, said Luther about the university
town and called the town, which is situated at the Via Regia,
as his mother, whom he owed everything.
This is just one piece of the manifold history of Erfurt.
One can read the town’s history like an open book – if you
know how to. Join us on a discovery tour to the most exciting
places in Erfurt’s history. Meet the Blaumacher, Stinkreichen, Kurve-Kratzern, Puffbohnen und Bachen.
Everyone a true Erfurtian.

When you’re only looking after you own honour.

Don’t say »Your will be done«
When you can’t bear destiny’s blows.
Don’t say »Give us this day our daily bread«
When you don’t give to the poor.
Don’t ask the »forgivness of your sins«
When you live in bitterness with your family.
Don’t say »Lead us not into temptation«
When you deal the evil everyday.
Don’t ask »Deliver us from evil«
When you’re not looking for the good.

»Love and serve all humanity.
Assist everyone.
Be happy, be courteous.
Be a dynamo of irrepressible joy.
Recognize God and goodness in every face.
There is no saint without a past
and no sinner without a future.
Praise everyone.
If you cannot praise someone,
let them out of your life.
Be original, be inventive. Be courageous.
Take courage again and again.
Do not imitate; be strong, be upright.
Do not lean on the crutches of others.
Think with your own head. Be yourself.
All perfection and every divine virtue
are hidden within you.
Reveal them to the world.
Wisdom, too, is already within you.
Let it shine forth.
Let the Lord's grace set you free.
Let your life be that of the rose; in silence,
it speaks the language of fragrance.«

Being a witness for Christ is easier said than done.

»Sacraments for the Departed...«
Network Apostolic History e.V. | S. Müller-Bahr | Language: DE
Evolution of our understanding regarding the Eternity.
In 1872, a member in a congregation in Amsterdam had a
stillbirth, causing deep sorrow amongst the congregants.
It was due to this, that the then Apostle Schwarz implemented dispensing sacraments to a living vessel, as a connection to the departed. This was the first dispensation on behalf
of the departed and is still practiced today. S. Müller-Bahr
takes us through developments since that first time and
reminds us of the viewpoint and practice of the church today.
