Das in Westpolen gelegene Zielona Góra, ist eine Stadt, die etwa 120 tsd.
Einwohner zählt. Die bildhafte Altstadt mit dem in der Mitte dominierenden
Rathaus wird von Hügel und Wäldern umgeziegelt, die fast die Hälfte der
Stadt bilden. Der am meisten charakterische Ort ist Weinhügel (Winne

Wzgórze) mit dem über die Stadt herausragende Palmenhaus. Am Fu

ügels befindet sich das moderne Einhaufszentrum, das sich in histoHügels
rischen Gebäuden von den alten Werken der Wollindustrie „Polska Wełna“
(„Polnische Wolle“) befindet. Die sich dynamisch entwickelnde Universität
von Zielona Góra (Uniwersytet Zielonogórski) bildet Studenten an vielen
Studienrichtungen, darunter an der Fakultät Astronomie. An der Spitze der
Stadt gibt es Braniborska Turm (Wieża Braniborska), wo sich da astronomische
Observatorium befindet, dessen Mitarbeiter sich mit der Beobachtung des
Himmels beschäftigen, und zwar mit der Beobachtung von Pulsaren.
Zielona Góra, which is located on the west of Poland, is a city with less than 120 thousand residents. The picturesque Old Town
with the Town Hall dominant in the center is surrounded by hills and forests, which constitute almost half of the city. The most
characteristic place is the Wine Hill with the Palm House over the city. At its foot, there is a modern shopping center located
in historic buildings of the former factory of the Woollen Industry Plant "Polish Wool". The rapidly growing University of Zielona
Góra educates students in many fields including Astronomy. At the "top" of the city, the Braniborska Tower stands, where the
Astronomical Observatory is situated, the staff of which deal with observation of the sky, studying mainly the pulsars.

Ogromną zaletą Zielonej Góry jest jej usytuowanie w sieci komunikacyjnej.
Miasto leży nieomal na skrzyżowaniu międzynarodowych szlaków drogowych
i kolejowych łączących Skandynawię z południem Europy i Warszawę z Berlinem.
Nieopodal Zielonej Góry przebiegać będzie ponad 200 km autostrad:
A2 Paryż-Moskwa, A3 Szczecin-Praga oraz A4 Bruksela-Kijów.
Stolicę Środkowego Nadodrza dzieli od Berlina 160 km, od Pragi 290 km,
od Poznania 130, od Wrocławia 160 km, a od Warszawy 413 km.
Odwiedzający miasto mogą także korzystać z dwóch lotnisk: Portu Lotniczego
w Babimoście oraz lotniska sportowo-dyspozycyjnego w Przylepie, które dzieli
od centrum tylko 5 km. Zielona Góra jest bardzo otwarta dla wszystkich inwestorów.

The great advantage of Zielona Góra is its location in the communication
system. The city is situated almost at the intersection of international
road and rail routes connecting Scandinavia with southern Europe and
Warsaw with Berlin. Near Zielona Góra over 200 km of motorways will be
situated: A2 Paris-Moscow, A3 Szczecin-Prague and A4 Brussels-Kyiv.
The Capital of the Middle Odra is 160 km from Berlin, 290 km from Prague,
130 km from Poznań, 160 km from Wrocław, and 413 km from Warsaw.
The Visitors to town can also use two airports: the Airport in Babimost
and the sports-dispositions aerodrome in Przylep, which is just 5 km
from the city center. Zielona Góra is very open to all investors.

Der groβe Vorteil von Zielona Góra ist ihre Lage im Verkehrsnetz. Die Stadt
liegt fast an der Kreuzung des internationalen Verkehrstrassen

Położone na dwóch skrajnych końcach miasta campusy Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego, mają swą część
wspólną niemal w geometrycznej połowie drogi między sobą. Rektorat uczelni położony jest w samym sercu
Zielonej Góry. Tuż obok znajduje się budynek dawnego kina Wenus. Zabytkowy gmach Rektoratu został
niedawno odnowiony i teraz nadszedł czas na zmodernizowanie jego „sąsiada”. Oba obiekty tworzyć będą
POLSKO-NIEMIECKIE CENTRUM KONFERENCYJNE. Budynek Rektoratu pozostanie siedzibą władz oraz administracji
Uczelni, natomiast stare kino zamienione zostanie na CENTRUM NAUKI KEPLERA „WENUS”. Powstałe centrum
konferencyjne będzie dysponowało trzema czterema wielofunkcyjnymi: salą audytoryjną na 400 osób i salą
konferencyjną na 100 osób w budynku CNK WENUS oraz salą Senatu dla 75 osób i aulą mieszczącą 80 osób
w budynku Rektoratu UZ. Przestronna sala kinowa przekształcona zostanie w reprezentacyjną salę
audytoryjną, przeznaczoną głównie do organizacji konferencji polsko-niemieckich. Odbywać się w niej będą
również inauguracje roku akademickiego, wręczenia dyplomów oraz inne uroczystości. Pozostałym formom
spotkań, w tym również konferencjom i seminariom służyć będzie zlokalizowana na piętrze CNK WENUS
sala konferencyjna oraz sale w budynku Rektoratu. Tu również, w przyziemiu, znajduje się sala cateringowa.
Połączenie budynków w formie „miękkiego” przejścia pomiędzy nimi, pozwoli na optymalne wykorzystanie
przestrzeni a także zapewni lepszą komunikację oraz wygodną obsługę cateringową centrum konferencyjnego.

Die an unterschiedlichen Stadträndern liegenden Teile des Campus der Universität Zielona Góra haben ihr
gemeinsames Gebäude fast genau auf halber Strecke zwischen ihnen. Das Rektorat der Universität befindet
sich mitten im Zentrum der Stadt Zielona Góra. Direkt daneben steht das Gebäude des ehemaligen Kinos
„WENUS“. Das historische Gebäude des Rektorats wurde kürzlich renoviert und nun ist es Zeit für
die Modernisierung seines „Nachbarn“. Beide Gebäude sollen ein POLNISCH-DEUTSCHES KONFERENZZENTRUM
bilden. Das Gebäude des Rektorats bleibt Sitz der Universitätsleitung und der Hochschulverwaltung, das
alte Kino soll zum KEPLER-FORSCHUNGSZENTRUM „WENUS“ werden. Das entstandene Konferenzzentrum
wird vier multifunktionale Räume verfügen: einen Hörsaal für 400 Zuhörer und einen Konferenzsaal für
100 Personen im Kepler Forschungszentrum-Gebäude WENUS sowie den Senatssaal für 75 Personen und
die Aula für 80 Personen im Gebäude des Rektorats der Universität Zielona Góra. Der geräumige Kinosaal
soll zum repräsentativen Auditorium werden, hauptsächlich bestimmt für die Durchführung von
polnisch-deutschen Konferenzen. In diesem Saal sollen auch die Eröffnungsfeier des akademischen Jahres,
Diplomverleihungen und andere Feierlichkeiten stattfinden. Für weitere Formen von Treffen, unter anderem
für Konferenzen und Seminare, werden der im ersten Stock der CNK WENUS gelegene Konferenzsaal und
die Säle im Rektoratsgebäude zur Verfügung stehen. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich zudem ein Cateringsaal.
Die Verbindung der Gebäude in Form eines „weichen“ Übergangs ermöglicht eine optimale Raumausnutzung
und sichert dem Konferenzzentrum bequeme Wege und günstige Bedingungen für das Catering.
Campuses of the University of Zielona Gora, which are located on the two extreme ends of the city, have
their common part in almost geometric halfway between them. Chancellor's building is situated in the heart
of Zielona Gora. Nearby there is a building of the former Venus cinema. The historic edifice of the
Chancellor has recently been renovated and now it is time to modernize its “neighbour”. These two places
will create Polish-German Conference Centre. The Chancellor's building will remain the seat of the authority
and the administration of the University, whereas the old cinema will be converted to Kepler's Science
Centre “Wenus”. The Conference Centre will administrate four multi-function halls: an auditorium for
400 people and a conference room for 100 people in the building of KSC WENUS, whereas in the Chancellor's
building there will be the Senate Hall for 75 people and an assembly hall for as many as 80 people.
The spacious screening room will be transformed into a representative auditorium, designed mainly for
Polish-German conferences. Moreover, it is where inaugurations of the academic year, awarding of diplomas
and other celebrations will take place. The remaining forms of meetings, including conferences and seminars,
will be held in the conference room on the second floor of KSC WENUS and in the other halls in the
Chancellor's building. This is also where, in the basement, a catering hall will be situated. The connection
of the buildings in the form of „soft” transition between them will allow to make the best use of space
and will provide better communication and comfortable catering service of the conference centre.

Przez lata znacznie zmienił się układ urbanistyczny wokół budynku. Wcześniej właściwie nie
istniała znacząca i ważna arteria jaką obecnie jest ulica Aleja Konstytucji 3 Maja. Ulica Sikorskiego
natomiast przebiegała w kierunku południowym wzdłuż istniejącej pierzei. Domyślać się można,
iż intencją ówczesnych projektantów było stworzenie przedpola przed budynkiem, dlatego wycofali
elewację frontową nieco w tył. Powstał nowoczesny na miarę owych czasów obiekt z przeszkloną
fasadą ukazującą to, co dzieje się w środku. Dynamikę ruchu wewnątrz podkreślały wspinające się
po przeciwległej ścianie schody a z zewnątrz budynek rozświetlał gwieździsty neon z nazwą kina.

Over the years the urban layout around the building has changed significantly. Previously,
there was no the significant and important thoroughfare street which now is the Aleja
Konstytucji 3 Maja. The Sikorski Street went in a southerly direction along the existing
frontage. One may guess that the intent of those designers was to create a foreground
in front of the building, so the front elevation was slightly pulled back.A modern,at that
time, object with its glass facade showing what happens inside was created. The dynamics
of movement inside was highlighted by the climbing stairs on the opposite wall on the
outside of the building was illuminated with an asteroid neon with the name of cinema.

CENTRUM NAUKI KEPLERA „WENUS” to nowe oblicze budynku dawnego kina. Dzięki inicjatywie Uniwersytetu
Zielonogórskiego oraz władz miasta Zielona Góra ma szanse stać się częścią nowoczesnego centrum konferencyjnego,
które służyć będzie zarówno uczelni jak i mieszkańcom oraz gościom miasta. Położone pomiędzy Starym Rynkiem
a centrum handlowym Focus Mall ma oferować ludziom absolutnie innowacyjną formę spędzania czasu wolnego.
Będzie zarówno punktem spotkań, jak i miejscem w którym organizuje się różnego rodzaju wystawy, seminaria,
konferencje a także „otwarte” wykłady, w których uczestniczyć będzie mógł każdy z nas. Wybudowane w latach
50. kino nazwane zostało WENUS. Po 60. latach nazwa staje się jeszcze bardziej adekwatna do funkcji. Niegdyś był
to obiekt, służący do wyświetlania filmów na 35-milimetrowej błonie fotograficznej. Dziś realnym staje się pomysł
naukowca wizjonera, profesora Janusza Gila, który od ponad 20 lat promuje ideę zbudowania takiego obiektu
w Zielonej Górze. CENTRUM NAUKI KEPLERA „WENUS” mieści salę audytoryjną dla ok. 400 osób, mniejszą salę
konferencyjną na ok. 100 osób, księgarnię akademicką, przestrzenie wystawowe oraz kawiarnię. Na sali audytoryjnej
wydzielonych jest 120 miejsc, umieszczonych pod kopułą. Specjalistyczna aparatura do wyświetlania projekcji na
sferycznej półkuli, daje możliwość podziwiania ruchu ciał niebieskich na nieboskłonie a także innych animacji
dotyczących wszelkich dziedzin nauki i sztuki. Pod kopułą o średnicy 10 metrów, siedząc na specjalnie wyprofilowanych
fotelach będziemy mogli obejrzeć niesamowite, przestrzenne animacje przedstawiające zjawiska zachodzące w odległych
galaktykach, w głębi naszej planety lub morskich otchłaniach a także uczestniczyć w tworzeniu programów
animacyjnych w czasie rzeczywistym. Atrakcji nie zabraknie również dla najmłodszych. Dzieciom dedykowane są
spotkania z dinozaurami, morskimi potworami, bajkowymi kosmitami oraz spacery po lesie tropikalnym lub po księżycu.

Das KEPLER-FORSCHUNGSZENTRUM „WENUS“ gibt dem alten Kinogebäude ein neues Gesicht. Dank der Initiative
der Universität Zielona Góra und der Stadtverwaltung Zielona Góra besteht die Chance, das Gebäude Teil eines
modernen Konferenzzentrums werden zu lassen, das sowohl der Hochschule als auch den Bewohnern der Stadt sowie
deren Besuchern zur Verfügung steht. Das zwischen dem Altmarkt und dem Handelszentrum „Focus Mall“ gelegene
Konferenzzentrum wird den Menschen neue Formen der Freizeitgestaltung bieten. Es kann zu einem Treffpunkt
werden und zudem zu einem Ort, an dem Ausstellungen, Seminare, Konferenzen und auch so genannte „offene“
Vorlesungen, an denen jeder teilnehmen kann, organisiert werden können. Das in den 50er Jahren gebaute Kino trug
den Namen „WENUS“. Seit den 60-er Jahren entsprach der Name noch mehr der Funktion des Gebäudes. Damals war
es eine Einrichtung, in der 35 mm-Filme vorgeführt werden konnten. Heute scheint die Idee des Wissenschaftlers und
Visionärs Prof. Janusz Gil, der seit über 20 Jahren für die Idee der Bildung eines solchen Objekts in Zielona Góra
wirbt, realistischer denn je. DAS KEPLER-FORSCHUNGSZENTRUM „WENUS” bietet Platz für einen Hörsaal für ca. 400
Personen, einen kleineren Konferenzsaal für ca. 100 Zuhörer, Platz für Ausstellungen, eine akademische Buchhandlung
und ein Café. Im Auditorium werden 120 Plätze unter einer Kuppel abgetrennt. Spezielle Geräte für Filmvorführungen
in einer sphärischen Halbkugel ermöglichen es, Bewegungen der Himmelskörper auf dem Himmelsgewölbe und andere
Animationen aller Wissens- und Kunstgebiete zu bestaunen. Auf Spezialsesseln unter der Kuppel mit einem
Durchmesser von 10 Metern sitzend werden beeindruckende räumliche Animationen, Erscheinungen aus entfernten
Galaxien, aus der Tiefe unseres Planeten oder aus dem Schlund des Meeres zu beobachten sein , ebenso wird
die Möglichkeit geschaffen, an der Bildung von Animationsprogrammen in Echtzeit teilzunehmen . An Attraktionen
für die Jüngsten wird es ebenfalls nicht fehlen. Den Kindern werden Begegnungen mit Dinosauriern,
Meeresungeheuern, märchenhaften Außerirdischen und Spaziergänge im Tropenwald oder auf dem Mond ermöglicht.

able to attend. The cinema, which was built in the 50s, was called WENUS. After the 60s, the name has become even
more relevant to its functions. It used to be a place where pictures on a 35-milimeter film were displayed. Today,
the idea of a scientist-visionary, the professor Janusz Gil, who has been promoting the concept of building such
a facility in Zielona Gora, becomes attainable. Kepler's Science Centre “WENUS” offers an auditorium for about
400 people, a smaller conference room for about 100 people, an academic bookstore, exhibition areas and a café.

Bryła składa się z dwóch części: niższej
zawierającej część wejściową wraz z funkcjami
dodatkowymi oraz wyższą, w której mieści się
sala projekcyjna Planetarium oraz aula jako
jedno. Dwa bloki rozdzielone są na złączeniu
przeszklonym „pęknięciem”, dzięki któremu
doświetlone mamy wnętrze holu. Pomimo
różnych wysokości dwóch części budynku,
architektonicznie obiekt jest spójny. Prócz
elewacji frontowej, dookoła powleka go
ażurowa „skóra”, która za dnia nasuwa
skojarzenia z obrazem planety Wenus a w nocy
mieni się niczym rozgwieżdżone niebo. Dzieje się
to za sprawą zastosowania perforowanej blachy
miedzianej, której kolor oraz faktura nadają
budynkowi zamierzony charakter. Niemniej
intrygującym elementem jest wystająca z wyższej
części kopuła, pod którą wewnątrz mieści się
Planetarium. Jest pokryta specjalną powłoką,
by przypominać dobrze znany widok księżyca.

sich der Projektionssaal des Planetariums und der Aula als eine Einheit

bedeckt, um an die gut bekannte Mondaussicht zu erinnenern.
The block consists of two parts: the lower-with the entrance
part together with additional functions and the higher where
the Planetarium projection room and auditorium as one is located.
The two blocks are separated on the junction with the glass
"crack" owing to which the interior of the hall is lighted up.
Despite the different heights of the two parts of the building,
the object is architecturally consistent. Apart from the front
elevation, it is coated around with the openwork "skin" which,
during the day, is usually associated with the image of the planet
Venus and in the night it sparkles like a starry sky. This is due
to the use of a perforated copper sheet, the color and texture
of which give the building the desired character. Not less an
intriguing element is the protruding dome from the upper part,
under which, inside the Planetarium is located. It is covered with
a special coating to resemble the well-known view of the moon.

Respektując zapisy planu oraz nawiązując do pierwotnego wyglądu
budynku elewacja frontowa jest w pełni przeszklona oraz
niesymetrycznie wycofana, zachowując linię zabudowy w okalającej
ją ramie. Usytuowanie wejścia i zarazem wklęsłość fasady jest
zarówno nawiązaniem do układu istniejącego jak i zabiegiem
wynikającym z otwarć widokowych od strony Rynku oraz od strony
ulicy Konstytucji. Transparentność pozwala na pokazanie ruchu
wewnątrz budynku a lekkie cofnięcie szklanej ściany zaprasza
do wnętrza i zapewnia schronienie w deszczowe dni.
In Bezug auf die Eintragungen des Plans und an die frühere
Aussicht des Gebäudes ist die Frontfassade vőllig verglast
und assymetrisch zurückgezogen, indem die Bebauungslinie in dem
umfassenden Rahmen behalten wird. Die Plazierung des Eingangs

erlaubt, die Bewegung im Innenraum des Gebäudes zu zeigen,

Respecting the rules of the plan and referring to the original
appearance of the building, the front elevation is fully glazed and withdrawn
in asymmetrical way, keeping the line of construction in the frame surrounding
it. The location of the entrance and the concave facade at the same time is
both a reference to an existing state and the operation resulting from the
viewing openings from the side of the Old Market Square and from the side
of the Konstytucji Street. The transparency allows for demonstrating the
movement inside the building whereas the slight withdrawal of the glass wall
inside invites to the interior and provides shelter on rainy days.

Parter jest niemal przedłużeniem placu przed budynkiem.
Znajduje się tutaj część wystawowa z prezentowanymi
meteorytami, miejsce do prowadzenia „otwartych” wykładów
lub po prostu spędzenia czasu wolnego. Są też księgarnia
akademicka i kawiarnia, otwarta na zewnątrz w pogodne dni.
Zlokalizowano tu także szatnię, wraz z punktem informacyjnym
oraz stanowiskiem do sprzedaży biletów. Pod widownią znajdują się
toalety oraz pomieszczenia gospodarczo techniczne. Od strony
budynku Rektoratu mieszczą się pomieszczenia biurowe, pracownia
produkcji programów animacyjnych, zaplecza oraz winda. Istniejące
tu już reprezentacyjne schody wiodą do sali projekcyjnej i na
antresolę, na której trafiamy do mniejszej sali konferencyjnej
przeznaczonej dla 90 osób oraz do części wystaw czasowych.
Za salą projekcyjną mieszczą się toalety oraz pomieszczenie
techniczne, służące do obsługi sali głównej. Sala projekcyjna
pełni funkcję zarówno auli uniwersyteckiej jak i Planetarium.
W tym celu wydzielono 130 miejsc tuż pod kopułą, które wyróżnione
są zarówno kolorem jak i funkcją. Po lekkim odchyleniu zapewniają
komfortowe oglądanie tego, co dzieje się akurat na sklepieniu
kopuły. Pozostałe fotele są tradycyjne. Specjalnie umieszczone
drzwi prowadzą wprost do wyjścia z budynku tak, jak to
odbywało się w czasach, gdy w budynku funkcjonowało kino.
Głównym założeniem projektantów było nadanie budynkowi nowego
wizerunku, jednoznacznie nasuwającego skojarzenia z jego funkcją.
Jednocześnie starano się zachować spokojną, spójną formę architektoniczną, respektującą otoczenie i zachęcającą do odwiedzenia wnętrza.
Das Erdgeschoβ ist fast die Verlängerung des Platzes vor der Gebäude.
Es befindet sich hier der Ausstellungsteil mit präsentierten Metheoriten,
der Platz zur Führung der offenen Vorlesungen oder der Platz für
die Freizeitgestalltung. Es gibt hier auch die Universitätsbibliothek und
das Cafe, das offen an heiteren Tagen ist. Es gibt hier auch eine
Garderobe inclusive Infostand und die Eintrittskartenkasse. Unter dem
Zuschauerraum befindet sich Toiletten und die wirtschafts-technischen
Innenräume, die Werkstatt für die Animationsprogramme, den Hinterraum
und der Aufzug. Die sich hier bereit befindenden Representationstreppen
führen sowohl zum Projektionssaal und zur Antresole, wo wir den
kleineren Konferenzsaal finden, der für 90 Personen vorgesehen ist,
als auch zum Teil der Zeitausstellungen. Hinter dem Projektionssaal
befinden sich Toiletten und der technische Raum, die zur Bedienung
des Hauptsaals dient. Der Projektionsaal erfüllt die Funktion sowohl
einer Universitätsaula als auch eines Planetariums. Dazu wurden
130 Plätze gleich unter einer Kugel vorgesehen, die sich durch
die Farbe auch durch die Funktion unterscheiden. Nach der leichten
Abbiegung sichern sie das bequeme Anschauen von dem, was sich an
der Kugeldecke ereignet. Sonstige Sessel sind traditionell. Die absichtlich
angebrachte Tür führt direkt zum Ausgang aus dem Gebäude auf eine
solche Weise, die der Fall zum Zeitpunkt war, als dort das Kino
funktionierte. Die Hauptannahme der Entwerfer war die Verleihung
eines neuen Aussehens dem Gebäude, das eindeutig die Assozierungen
mit seiner Funktion hervorruft. Gleichzeitig hat man versucht, eine
einfache gemeinsame architektonische Form zu behalten, die die
Umwelt berücksichtigt und zur Besichtigung des Innenreums anspornt.
The ground floor is almost an extension of the plaza in front of
the building. Here is the exhibition part with the presented meteorites,
a place to conduct open lectures, or simply to spend free time.
Here are also an academic bookshop and a cafe open to the outside
on sunny days. Also a cloakroom, the information point, and the stand
for tickets sale are located here. Under the auditorium, there are
toilets and storage-technical rooms. At the Rector's building side
there are office rooms, the animation programs production study,
the back and the lift. The existing representation stairs lead to the
projection room and on the mezzanine where we come to a smaller
conference room designed for 90 people and for the part of the
temporary exhibitions. Behind the projection room there are toilets,
the technical room for serving the main hall. The projection room
serves as both the university hall and the Planetarium. In this
purpose, 130 seats just below the dome were separated which are
highlighted both in color and function. After a slight inclination they
provide comfortable watching of what is happening just at the vault
of the dome. The remaining seats are traditional. Specially placed
doors lead directly to the exit of the building, as this took place at
a time when the building played the role of a cinema.
The main goal of the designers was to give the building a new image,
bringing clearly associations with its function. At the same time they
tried to keep calm, coherent architectural form, respecting the
environment and encouraging to visit the interior.
