1. Eurex Release 10.0: Versand des Update Kit 4 für Simulation und Update Kit 2 für

Die Update Kits enthalten die nachfolgenden wichtigen Änderungen und Verbesserungen:
1.1. Update der Pre-Trade Risk Protection-Funktionalität
Die „Inquire Pre-Trading Risk Limits” werden um die zusätzliche Information der aktuellen Anzahl
von Zeitintervallüberschreitungen erweitert. Das GUI zeigt die Zeitintervall-Limitüberschreitungen
im “Limit Maintenance Tab” an und markiert die entsprechenden Felder rot, wenn die festgelegte
Schwelle überschritten ist, bzw. gelb, wenn der Überschreitungszähler > 0, aber < Schwelle. Das
GUI zeigt den Teilnehmerstatus “ALERT” im “Stop/Release”-Tab, wenn die Überschreitungsschwelle erreicht ist.
1.2. OTC Bulk Load
Im OTC Block Trade Entry-Fenster ist die neue Funktion “Bulk Load panel” hinzugefügt worden,
um den Import vielfacher OTC-Block Trades in Aktien-Futures (SSFs) von einer csv-Datei ins Eurex-System zu unterstützen. Details über die neue Funktion und die OTC Bulk Load Templates
(TemplateBulkLoad.xls und TemplateBulkLoad.csv, die nicht in den Update Kits enthalten sind),
werden unter dem folgenden Pfad veröffentlicht:

1.3. Weitere kleine Änderungen und Erweiterungen
Gegenstand hiervon sind hauptsächlich diverse GUI Änderungen. Aktualisierte Versionen der Dokumente „ Eurex @X-ceed Trading User Guide, „@X-tract Clearing User Guide” und „VALUES API
Member Front End Development Guide”, die eine Beschreibung der neuen Funktionen enthalten,
sind unter folgendem Pfad veröffentlicht:

Der Versand des Simulations-Update Kit an die Eurex-Teilnehmer erfolgt per File Transfer Protocol
(ftp) am Freitag, den 29. Februar 2008 nach 23:00 Uhr MEZ ; das Kit kann ab Montag, den 3. März
2008 zum Einsatz kommen.
Der Versand der Produktions-Update Kits an die Eurex-Teilnehmer erfolgt per File Transfer Protocol (ftp) am Freitag, den 14. März 2008 nach 23:00 Uhr MEZ ; sie können ab Montag, den 17.
März 2008 zum Einsatz kommen. Die Software wird ausschließlich an die bekannten ReportKnoten versandt. Parallel dazu werden die Kits zum Herunterladen von der EEX-Website unter
den folgenden Pfaden bereitgestellt:

Für die Datenübertragung sollten die nachstehend angegebenen Zielverzeichnisse je eine Speicherkapazität von ca. 40 MB pro Umgebung (Produktion, Simulation) zur Verfügung haben:

mit den Kits auf die Transferverzeichnisse geschickt wird.
Bitte beachten Sie: Optimaler Support kann nur auf Basis der aktuellen Software-Versionen geleistet werden. Bitte kontaktieren Sie unseren Customer Technical Support unter Tel. +49-69-2111 12 00, sofern Sie das Eurex Release 10.0 Simulation Update Kit 4 bis zum Dienstag, den 4.
März 2008, und das Update Kit 2 für Produktion bis zum Dienstag, den 17. März 2008 nicht erhalten haben.
2. Einführung eines „Unreliable“ Matching Events-Datenstrom für die Enhanced
Transaction Solution (ETS)
Die Eurex führt parallel zu dem bestehenden „Recoverable“ Datenstrom zur Zusammenführung
gleichen Inhalts, einen neuen „Unreliable“ Matching Events-Datenstrom ein, um über ETS schnelle
Informationen über Order Ausführungen („Matching Events“) liefern zu können. Anders als ursprünglich angekündigt, wird der neue Datenstrom jeweils ab Beginn der Simulation am 25. Februar 2008 und ab Aufnahme der Produktion am 14. April 2008 mit Daten gefüllt.
Um eine Verbindung über die ETS-Schnittstelle herstellen zu können, ist für jede Teilnehmeranwendung eine eigene registrierte Anwendungskennung erforderlich. Das zur Beantragung einer
solchen Kennung erforderliche Formular („Registration of an Application Identifier“) kann auf der
EEX-Website unter folgendem Pfad herunter geladen werden:

3. Funktionale Verbesserungen an der Enhanced Broadcast Solution (EBS)Schnittstelle
Zeitgleich mit der Simulation der Enhanced Transaction Solution (ETS), die am 25. Februar 2008
beginnt, wird Eurex auch verschiedene Weiterentwicklungen der EBS-Schnittstelle einführen:
Verbesserte Verarbeitung von Snapshots
Um es EBS-Empfängerapplikationen zu vereinfachen herauszufinden, welche Strategien im EurexSystem verfügbar bzw. welche Kontrakte aktiv sind, führt Eurex vier neue Arten von Service Messages ein („start/end single leg snapshots“ und „start/end strategy snapshots“). Diese ermöglichen
eine zeitgerechte Trennung vom Snapshot-Strom.

Einführung eines zusätzlichen eindeutigen Kennzeichens für UDP-Pakete zur einfacheren
Identifizierung von verdoppelten Nachrichten im A- und B-Strom.
Um die Erkennung von duplizierten Paketen in einer live-live-Konstellation zu beschleunigen, führt
Eurex ein eindeutiges Kennzeichen für UDP-Pakete ein. Damit wird die Identifikation der doppelten
Datagramme beschleunigt, da die UDP Pakete nur noch teilweise decodiert werden müssen. Die
genannten Erweiterungen werden ab dem 3. März 2008 in der Simulationsumgebung verfügbar
sein. Teilnehmer, welche die EBS-Schnittstelle nutzen werden gebeten, in der Simulation die entsprechenden Tests mit ihren Empfängerapplikationen durchzuführen. Die Einführung der Erweiterungen in der Produktionsumgebung ist für den 14. April 2008 vorgesehen.
Ab dem 22. Februar 2008 werden aktualisierte Versionen (für Simulation und Produktion) des Dokuments „Enhanced Broadcast Solution - Interface Specification” veröffentlicht, welche die genannten Änderungen darstellen. Die Dokumente sind auf der EEX-Website unter folgendem Pfad verfügbar:

1. Eurex Release 10.0: Distribution of Update Kit 4 for Simulation and Update Kit
for Production
The update kits include the following important modifications and enhancements:
1.1 Update of the pre-trade risk protection functionality
The “Inquire Pre-Trading Risk Limits” will be enhanced by additional information about the current
number of time interval which have been exceeded. The GUI will show exceeded Time Interval
Limit in Limit Maintenance Tab and mark the corresponding fields red if violation threshold is
reached or yellow, if the violation counter is > 0 but < threshold. The GUI will show the Member
Status “ALERT” in the Stop/Release tab, if the violation threshold is reached.
1.2 OTC Bulk Load
A new function (Bulk Load panel) has been added to the OTC Block Trade Entry window to support the import of multiple OTC Block trades in Single Stock Futures from a csv-file into the EurexÒsystem. Additional details and OTC bulk load templates TemplateBulkLoad.xls and TemplateBulkLoad.csv (which are not part of the update kits) will be published under the path:

1.3. Further minor corrections and enhancements
Mainly some GUI enhancements have been applied. Updated versions of the Eurex @X-ceed
Trading User Guide, the @X-tract Clearing User Guide and of the VALUES API Member Front End
Development Guide describing the new functionality are published under following path:

The simulation update kit will be transmitted to Eurex Members via File Transfer Protocol (ftp) on
Friday February 29, 2008 after 23:00 CET and can be used from Monday, March 3, 2008 onwards.
The Production update kits will be transmitted to Eurex Members via File Transfer Protocol (ftp) on
Friday, March 14, 2008 after 23:00 CET and can be used from Monday, March 17, 2008 onwards.
The software will only be sent to the registered report nodes. In parallel, the kits will be made
available for download from the EEX website under the following paths:

Please ensure that the simulation environment is connected to the Eurex network on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 23:00 CET onwards and the Production environment on Friday, March 14,

The update kits should be installed according to the instructions contained in the “read-me” file,
which will be sent together with the kits to the target transfer directory.

2. “Unreliable” Matching Events Data Stream for ETS (Enhanced Transaction Solution)
In order to provide faster information about matching events via ETS, Eurex will introduce a new
“unreliable” matching events data stream in parallel to the existing "recoverable” matching events
data stream with the same content. Contrary to the original announcement, the new data stream
will be populated from the start of the simulation on February 25, 2008 and from production launch
on April 14, 2008 onwards.
In order to be able to establish a connection using the ETS interface, each member application will
require its own registered application identifier. The respective application form (”Registration of an
Application Identifier”) is located on the EEX website under the following path:

3. Functional Enhancements to the Enhanced Broadcast Solution (EBS) Interface
To coincide with the simulation for the Enhanced Transaction Solution (ETS) which will commence
on February 25, 2008, Eurex will also introduce some further enhancements to the EBS interface:
Enhancement of snapshot processing
In order to enable EBS receiver applications to more easily detect which strategies are available in
the Eurex system, which contracts are active and to facilitate a timely disconnection from the snapshot stream four new service message types (start/end single leg snapshots and start/end strategy
snapshots) will be introduced.
Addition of a unique identifier to UDP packet to facilitate the fast detection of duplicate
messages in the A and B stream
In order to make the detection of duplicate packets in live-live constellation faster, a unique identifier for the UDP packet will be introduced. Receiving applications will be able to detect duplicate
datagrams faster by partly decoding them. The above mentioned enhancements will be available in
the simulation environment from March 3, 2008 onwards. Members using the EBS interface are
requested to perform the appropriate tests with their receiving applications in simulation. The introduction of the enhancements in the production environment is scheduled for April 14, 2008.
