EEX passt Auktionskalender für das Jahr 2014 an
Leipzig, 27. Februar 2014 – Aufgrund der Anpassung der EU-Verordnung
Nr. 1031/2010 (Auktionsverordnung) vom 27. Februar 2014 infolge der BackloadingEntscheidung des Rates der EU und des Europäischen Parlaments hat die European
Energy Exchange (EEX) den Auktionskalender für das Jahr 2014 für EUEmissionsberechtigungen (EUA) der dritten Handelsphase angepasst. Die Anpassung
erfolgte in Abstimmung mit der Europäischen Kommission und den teilnehmenden Mitgliedstaaten sowie mit den zuständigen deutschen und polnischen Behörden.
EU-Auktionsplattform
Ab dem 17. März bis Ende des Jahres 2014 wird die EEX im Auftrag der 25 teilnehmenden Mitgliedstaaten die Auktionen wie bisher an drei Tagen in der Woche –
jeden Montag, Dienstag und Donnerstag – mit einem angepassten Volumen von
zunächst 1.927.500 EUA pro Auktion durchführen.
Auktionen für Deutschland
In ihrer Funktion als Auktionsplattform für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland wird die
EEX die Auktionen bis Jahresende mit einem reduzierten Volumen von zunächst
2.352.000 EUA an jedem Freitag, beginnend am 21. März 2014, durchführen.
Auktionen für Polen
Im Auftrag Polens werden in diesem Jahr nach dem 5. März 2014 keine weiteren
Emissionsberechtigungen versteigert, da das für Polen zu versteigernde Volumen nach
der Backloading-Entscheidung bereits mit der Auktion an diesem Tag erreicht sein
wird.
Für alle Auktionen am Spotmarkt bleibt das Gebotsfenster jeweils von 9:00 Uhr bis
11:00 Uhr MEZ geöffnet.

EEX adjusts Auction Calendar for 2014
Leipzig, 27 February 2014 – Pursuant to the back-loading decision by the Council of
the EU and the European parliament, the regulation (EU) No. 1031/2010 (Auction Regulation) was accordingly amended on 27 February 2014. Against this backdrop, European Energy Exchange (EEX) has now, in close consultation with the European Commission and the participating Member States as well as with the German and Polish
authorities in charge, updated the 2014 auction calendar for EU allowances (EUA) of
the third trading period.
EU Auction Platform
Starting on 17 March 2014 until the end of the year EEX (on behalf of the 25 participating Member States) will conduct auctions with an amended volume of initially
1,927,500 EUAs per auction on three days per week – on Mondays, Tuesdays and
Thursdays, as before.
Auctions for Germany
In its capacity as the auction platform appointed by the Federal Republic of Germany,
EEX will conduct auctions until the end of 2014 with a reduced volume of initially
2,352,000 EUAs every Friday, starting on 21 March 2014.
Auctions for Poland
No further emission allowances will be auctioned in the year 2014 on behalf of Poland
after 5 March 2014 as the volume to be auctioned following the back-loading decision
will already be reached in the auction on that date.
For all EUA auctions on the Spot Market, the bidding window remains from 9.00 to
11.00 a.m. CET.
