Catechetical Moment The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is comprised of 4 parts. The Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Closing Rites. Jesus instituted the Mass for our sanctification and spiritual nourishment. Each part of the Mass contains essential elements that are to be taken as a whole. What a beautiful event we participate in every week. It is important to stay in Mass until the final blessing. Then we may go out into the world and proclaim Jesus is Lord.
